FileNotFoundException thrown when changing Maven build directory - java

Project is located within D:/Projects/MService.
But since recently, compilation fails with FileNotFoundException and this message.
Information:Internal caches are corrupted or have outdated format,
forcing project rebuild: java.io.FileNotFoundException:
D:\Projects\MService\C:\MService\classes\com\example\mservice\data\data.txt
(The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect)
As given in the message a path confusion happens somewhere and I can't figure it out. If I remove the <directory> within <build> everything works fine.
com.example.mservice.data is a package within the resources folder. All my google searches have been in vain. Is this a problem with IntelliJ or is it a problem with my pom.xml? Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Java Spring Project on a Wildfly Server can't access RESTful Services

I have a java app running a Spring application with RESRful services.
Windows
I have a Windows environment with Eclipse and a JBoss Wildfly server integrated.
The RESful services can be accessed successfully, via e.g. http://localhost:8080/jbosswildfly/category/list.
OSX
I have recently started to migrate this to an OSX environment. I have Eclipse and a Wildfly server installed.
I can access http://localhost:8080/jbosswildfly/ which shows the server welcome page. However, I cannot access the RESTful service, via e.g. http://localhost:8080/jbosswildfly/category/list (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED)
Question
How do I get the RESTful services to work on in the OSX environment?
More info
As you can see, in the Windows environment, under the jbosswildfly server, there is a spring-web-4.3.1.RELEASE.jar, which is not present in the OSX environment.
In the Windows environment, I created the Java project from scratch, but in the OSX environment, I imported the existing project from an OpenShift Git repository. The source code in the two environments are identical.
The project is built with Maven and has all the required dependencies.

UPDATE
One thing I have noticed is that in the Windows environment, the target folder contains a number of generated artifacts, but in the OSX environment, there is noting in the target folder.
As you notices in your UPDATE, if the target is empty, it is because the project did not compile.
You have to install maven on your OSX.

Deploying Spring boot war to Tomcat 8

I want to deploy my Spring boot application (.war) to an external Tomcat-Server. My application works fine in Eclipse with my local Tomcat 8 and jdk 8. Furthermore, we are using maven and
Now we had to setup a whole server from scratch and we tried to do our best, but the application won't find any Services. We just can call static html, css and js files. As far as we want to call a service we get an 404 error.
Can anyone show me a step-by-step setting up tomcat with deploying the war?
Here is my startclass:
#PropertySources({
#PropertySource("classpath:/application.properties"),
#PropertySource("classpath:/messages_de.properties")
})
#SpringBootApplication
public class Application {
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
SpringApplication springApplication = new SpringApplication(Application.class);
springApplication.run(args);
}
}

You need to update your manager url with text its new change
<plugin>

<artifactId>tomcat8-maven-plugin</artifactId>

<configuration>
<url>http://yourRemoteServer:8888/manager/text</url>
<server>TomcatServer</server>
<path>/{project.artifactId}</path>
</configuration>
</plugin>
Now you can run mvn tomcat7:deploy( or redeploy)
PS : i know that the command tomcat7:deploy (redeploy) exists but i'm not sure for tomcat8:deploy !

Problems using local jar in maven pom.xml

I have a project i export to jar file and install with maven:
mvn install:install-file -Dfile=/home/myuser/workspace/libs/mylib.jar -DgroupId=br.com.mylib -DartifactId=mylib -Dversion=1.0 -Dpackaging=jar
In other project i just import in pom.xml:
<dependency>
<groupId>br.com.mylib</groupId>
<artifactId>mylib</artifactId>
<version>1.0</version>
</dependency>
This works fine, if i use this setup in pom.xml of "mylib":
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
<groupId>br.com.mylib</groupId>
<artifactId>mylib</artifactId>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
<name>MY LIB</name>
Now i want to change for 2.0 version, like this:
<version>2.0</version>
But when i remove the SNAPSHOT word nothing works, if i use "1.0" without SNAPSHOT i can't import this library in another project, the error is : ClassNotFoundException like jar aren't imported.
My pom.xml of "mylib" project:
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">

There are several issues here:
#SergeyPauk is correct. the "packaging" should be "jar", or removed at all as "jar" is the default.
did you make sure you built the "mylib" in version:2.0-snapshot, BEFORE you tried to use it as dependency in another project? in "mylib"'s pom I see that the version is 1.0-SNAPSHOT. If you want to change to 2.0, then first of all you have to change mylib itself to 2.0, build it and install to the local repo, and only then try to use it as dependency in another project.
the right way to use maven's versions is to use SNAPSHOT version during development, e.g. X-SNAPSHOT, and only after you finish development (i.e. releasing the product) you change the version to X

As you can see the pom.xml mostly consists of libaries used for hibernate and jpa.
Any recommendations why I am receiving this exception?
I appreciate your answer!
Use latest eclipselink version which is 2.5.0 now.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.eclipse.persistence</groupId>
<artifactId>eclipselink</artifactId>
<version>2.5.0</version>
</dependency>
This will fix the problem you have shown.

No classes found in classes folder inside war

I converted my eclipse project to maven by creating a pom.xml file. I built the .war file by maven build command by specifying the goal
clean compile install
and it build successfully. Now when I am running it on appache tomcate it throws no class found exceptions as I check .war/WEB-INF/classes folder is empty. Why classes folder is empty? Is this the reason why .war is not running on apache.
Please let me know if you need any further details

It is very hard to know the exact problem with so few details, however my guess would be that you have the wrong directory structure. Your code must be in the src/main/java/packagepath directory otherwise maven will not be able to find it and will create an empty jar/war.
As an additional note, the compile phase is included when you invoke the install phase so you do not need to explicitly call it.
