Spring Boot #Controller refuses to work with #Autowired - java

I used this tutorial to build Spring Boot application. It appeared super easy at first glance but I ran into number of problems right away. When trying to access /hi or /thing tomcat 7 returns 404 error. How to fix it?

PS. Here I had to add #Service("recordDao") because IntelliJ was warning that Cannot Autowire bean. although in tutorial this line is not presented.

Put your Application class in a package (e.g. "go"). Otherwise the Spring Data repository scan won't work (it would have to scan all the jar files on the classpath).

I replicated this issue and fixed it by removing some unnecessary dependencies available in pom.xml

I can't import import org.springframework.data.rest.webmvc.config.RepositoryRestConfigurerAdapter after migration to spring-boot 2.6.7

I have an application that uses Spring Boot 2.0.2. After I migrated to spring-boot 2.6.7, I can't import org.springframework.data.rest.webmvc.config.RepositoryRestConfigurerAdapter.
According to the Documentation, this class is still in the new version of Spring Boot, and located in org.springframework.data.rest.webmvc.config.RepositoryRestConfigurerAdapter, but I can not import this class.
I use that class to configure the following bean:

I experienced the same issue, and the correct answer appears to be: RepositoryRestConfigurerAdapter has been deprecated and should be replaced with direct calls to RepositoryRestConfigurer.
Note my source for this information is the deprecation list for version 3.1 -- but I nonetheless applied this fix after updating to spring-boot 2.6.6 and it appears to have remedied the issue.

How to solve "Failed to instantiate WebApplicationInitializer class" in javaspring

I'm actually working with Maven, Spring and Tomcat 9. The thing is that I'm trying to deploy an application that I've developed on this Tomcat server.
When I start the tomcat it shows error: Failed to instantiate WebApplicationInitializer class
I try removing "optional tag true", but still not work in my case, Is there any other problem?

spring boot not including RestController on .jar file

I'm trying to create a jar file from a spring boot project with maven in the netbeans ide. Running project through the ide with war file on tomcat server is working fine. But if i build the .jar file i'm getting this erro when trying to consume a method:

Deploying Spring boot war to Tomcat 8

I want to deploy my Spring boot application (.war) to an external Tomcat-Server. My application works fine in Eclipse with my local Tomcat 8 and jdk 8. Furthermore, we are using maven and
Now we had to setup a whole server from scratch and we tried to do our best, but the application won't find any Services. We just can call static html, css and js files. As far as we want to call a service we get an 404 error.
Can anyone show me a step-by-step setting up tomcat with deploying the war?

PS : i know that the command tomcat7:deploy (redeploy) exists but i'm not sure for tomcat8:deploy !
