Exception in thread "main" java.lang.AbstractMethodError - spring boot application

I'm trying to run spring boot application and getting the below error. Any help is appreciated.
I'm using java 8 to compile and spring boot 2.1.0 release.

I'm using eclipse oxygen ide to run it. I'm using java 8 to compile and spring boot 2.1.0 release.

Issue is fixed after cleaning the builds and classpath.

Generating JAR file with Maven

And this is my structure-folder:
When i use the command "mvn install" the jar go to my ".m2" folder normally with name "myproject-2.0.jar", and all class are inside. But when i use this jar in another project:

The java classes don't apper and i got a lot of erros in tomcat start, like: ClassNotFoundException.
IMportant
In my other project that use this dependency the file "myjarproject-2.0.jar" is there and classes too, but when i start tomcat and look for wtpwebapps folder and open the "war" and look for myjarproject-2.0.jar" inside this war, the classes are not there.

I noted that looking in WAR project in "Libraries->Maven Dependencies" the myjarproject.jar appear like a folder and not like ".jar".

Spring-security - cannot access ServletException

I like to use spring-security module, but when I followed a tutorial (http://docs.spring.io/spring-security/site/docs/3.2.x/guides/helloworld.html) from spring project, a compiler return this:

I have reinitialized my pom.xml, however I am getting:

As you can see the pom.xml mostly consists of libaries used for hibernate and jpa.
Any recommendations why I am receiving this exception?

Use latest eclipselink version which is 2.5.0 now.

No classes found in classes folder inside war

I converted my eclipse project to maven by creating a pom.xml file. I built the .war file by maven build command by specifying the goal
clean compile install
and it build successfully. Now when I am running it on appache tomcate it throws no class found exceptions as I check .war/WEB-INF/classes folder is empty. Why classes folder is empty? Is this the reason why .war is not running on apache.

It is very hard to know the exact problem with so few details, however my guess would be that you have the wrong directory structure. Your code must be in the src/main/java/packagepath directory otherwise maven will not be able to find it and will create an empty jar/war.
As an additional note, the compile phase is included when you invoke the install phase so you do not need to explicitly call it.
