Please check and let me know if I was making some mistake in defining things in pom
tried various dependencies for each same thing is happening I am working on an existing project so haven't changed pom much please guide me so I can add dependency and work on them

Trying to build spring-cloud-gcp from https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/spring-cloud-gcp
Many failed compile/install attempts due to failed tests (unit and checkstyle) - decided to just disable and/or not fail due to tests - great, that worked, entire build (all sub projects) compiled
Wanted to deploy the spring-cloud-gcp-data-firestore-sample (pom is below) to Cloud run, so changed the parent reference in the pom (as suggested/documented in the pom).
Now can't compile/install spring-cloud-gcp-data-firestore-sample and get this error "**Non-resolvable import POM: com.google.cloud:spring-cloud-gcp-dependencies:pom:2.3.12.RELEASE was not found in https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2**"
I've tried:
Adding additional spring maven repos to the pom (see pom below) - no luck, and based on the error message maven doesn't even seem to be checking the added repo's
referencing/using different versions of the spring-boot-starter-parent - no luck, nothing changed in the error
mvn -U clean compile - no luck
Anyone got any ideas? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You are inheriting version for com.google.cloud:spring-cloud-gcp-dependencies from project.version, which is 2.3.12.RELEASE in your case.
<dependency>
<groupId>com.google.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-gcp-dependencies</artifactId>
<version>${project.version}</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>import</scope>
</dependency>
When in fact, you want to specify a valid version as listed in maven repository.
When deploying my maven application to heroku, I get the error mesage:
app[web.1]: Error: Could not find or load main class MainView
My procfile path matches the classpath in my manifest (procfile below), so I am unsure why it can't find the class.
web: java -cp target/classes/com/vaadin/app MainView
I am deploying the app with 'git push heroku master', the build succeeds on heroku but gives the above error after building.
Here is my pom.xml

Any help is appreciated.
I have a multi module project with 1 main module (engine) and 2 sub modules (client and server)
engine (Main module)

When I try to use the server module in the client, It throws a compilation error that indicates that the server package was not found.
Please find all the 3 POM's below.

Your modules need
<packaging>jar</packaging>
to overwrite the
<packaging>pom</packaging>
from the parent file.
I have a similar project set-up, but your solution worked just fine for me.
Still one way that could maybe have solved it in your case, would be to define the version in the parent pom using the dependencyManagment
<dependencyManagement>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>${groupId}</groupId>
<artifactId>server</artifactId>
<version>${project.version}</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
</dependencyManagement>
The dependency to the server has "test" scope: this means that is will be not included in the runtime package
<dependency>
<groupId>${project.groupId}</groupId>
<artifactId>server</artifactId>
<scope>test</scope> <!-- remove this tag -->
<version>${project.version}</version>
</dependency>
for more information on dependency scopes see: here
Ran into a similar problem. This seems to be caused by spring boots' packaging of jar. The Spring boot create an executable jar, sending the classes into BOOT-INF folder inside the jar.
Adding the following into the build\plugins section of the pom resolves the issue (client pom in the case here)
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-jar-plugin</artifactId>
<executions>
<execution>
<phase>package</phase>
<goals>
<goal>jar</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<forceCreation>true</forceCreation>
</configuration>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
An alternative solution is here : Maven Multi-module dependency package not found
I tried to run Tapestry on GAE. After some time, I was able to resolve the last errors to display at least a simple page. But, to be honest, some sort of data-storage would be nice.
I tried to use tapestry-jdo, but there is my Problem: Im unable to use any part of JDO, and I have tried for days.
I will post my pom.xml, on which I have worked. I tried a lot of combinations for the version numbers, but mostly the actionlink to test JDO fails, because org.datanucleus.store.appengine.jdo.DatastoreJDOPersistenceManagerFactory is not found.
The rest of the time, I got an uncaught exception from tapestry, caused by another missing JDO class, but this time not while the construction of the JDOEntityManagerSource, instead somewhere deeper.
I havent learned programming, I teached it to myself, so my maven knowledge is limited.
This pom.xml may contain needles entries.
If i build it with maven, i get Could not transfer metadata asm:asm/maven-metadata.xml from/to local.repository (file:../../local.repository/trunk): No connector available to access repository local.repository under some circumstandes.

The datanucleus-appengine plugin v2 ought to be used with DataNucleus jars v3.0.* and with javax.jdo jdo-api v3.0.1 ... as per the docs for GAE at

I am busy developing a Vaadin with Maven project. I would like to integrate Hibernate with this project, but I can't do it.
I've added the dependencies and libraries, but Hibernate does not work.
This is the pom.xml

If you are including just hibernate-entitymanager Maven will download hibernate-core, hibernate-annotations and hibernate-commons-annotations on it's own in the right version.
