Why clean glass fish admin console doesn't work? - java

My system is:
Mac os X 10.9 Mavericks
Oracle JDK 7u45 (the latest)
Glassfish 3 and Glassfish 4 is the same
I go to the download page of glass fish and download the zip.
i do init the glassfish domain using: asadmin start-domain domain1
Go to localhost:4848 and the console still loading...
i review the glassfish log in this point, and the last message is:
javax.enterprise.system.core.com.sun.enterprise.v3.admin.adapter|_ThreadID=83;_ThreadName=Thread-2;|The Admin Console application is loaded.|#]
the message appears to be fine.
When i refresh the page (because doesn't refresh itself), it redirects me to http://localhost:4848/common/index.jsf with status 404.
if i review again the glass fish log, the message is:
org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet|_ThreadID=84;ThreadName=Thread-2;|PWC6117: File "/Users/juvinao/glassfish4/glassfish/lib/install/applications/_admingui/common/index.jsp" not found|#]
this just happen in my mac, after the mavericks upgrade.
in others computers and OSs, everything go fine.
i was googling for info about this issue, but even here in stack overflow i had found the answer.
Thanks.

the only way that i resolved the issue, is that when the console redirect me to
http://localhost:4848/common/index.jsf
i put the url
http://localhost:4848/login.jsf
but always i have to do this. next i have access to login page and admin console.

i had the same problem, but instead of console, my app was behaving like this.
solution: update "glassfish/glassfish/modules/javax.faces.jar" (2.2.0) with 2.2.4
still don't know why or in which way these things are linked...

Ensure that the file is not missing and you have enough rights to access it or maybe modify.

Disable Automatic Update Checks
Rename $GLASSFISH_INST/glassfish/modules/console-updatecenter-plugin.jar to console-updatecenter-plugin.jar.disabled

How to fix error "Enrollment failed" when trying WSO2 IoT 3.3.0 android enrollment?

I set up a new server windows 2012R2 in a VM machine. The latest active-mq and Apache-ant are downloaded. Oracle JDK 8u192 is used. After installation and setup of the WSO2 IoT application, I cannot enroll an android device.
I installed the WSO2IOT by following the instructions in the online documentations for version 3.3.0.
CARBON_HOME and JAVA_HOME are set up in environment variables already.
The process of steps that I go are as follows:
I start the activemq by running it inside a cmd window as instructed by the documentation.
I start broker.bat in another cmd window
I start iot-server.bat in another cmd window
I start analytics.bat in another cmd window
Everything starts and I end up with the text "Carbon .. has stared in ** milliseconds.
I open my management console on https port 9443\devicemgt and login as admin no problem.
After that I connect my galaxy A5 2016 model with android 7.0 to the same network via WiFi. Download the app via QR code from my PC screen to the mobile phone. Install the app and try to register. The IP which I enter is static in the VM and of course I add 8280 port in the wso2 management app on the phone. Then I login with admin/admin credentials which logins successfully but right after that it posts an message on the phone that it is receiving policy and here it stops. The little circle spins (loading) and nothing happens for few minutes after which I get an error "Enrollment failed. Contact the administrator. Enrollment failed." no other message or anything.
On the analytics cmd window I got the following error inside my VM:
[2018-12-20 11:00:00,037] [IoT-Analytics] ERROR {org.wso2.carbon.ntask.core.impl.TaskQuartzJobAdapter} - Error in executing task: nulljava.lang.NullPointerException
at org.wso2.carbon.analytics.spark.core.CarbonAnalyticsProcessorService.executeQuery(CarbonAnalyticsProcessorService.java:256)
at org.wso2.carbon.analytics.spark.core.CarbonAnalyticsProcessorService.executeScript(CarbonAnalyticsProcessorService.java:206)

at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:624)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748)
And that is basically it I cant move on forward from here. I tried with different java jdk versions as old as 8u144 and I tried with openJDK 8 LTSu191 to no avail.
Other things like creating policies in the devicemgt portal, creating users and browsing the portal works fine.
Did anyone encounter this issue and manage to solve it?
Thanks.
I used WM windows10. The situation fully corresponded to that described by you, with only one difference - I also had an error on the page with the preservation of policies for Android. I also saw that the default policies for windows are reflected in the platform configuration section, and the android policies are missing and cannot be saved due to the error you described. However, in the wso2 home directory I found the Android configuration file in which the default policy !!! was done.
Next, I used ADB to watch the log from the Android device, at the time of binding (enrollment). He only confirmed the previously received information. I saw a 404 http error at the time the device attempted to get a policy agreement. Point.
Unexpected outcome. I downloaded version 3.1.0 instead of the current version 3.3.0. I started the batch file. I went to the platform configuration section, to the Android configuration - the default agreement policy was displayed correctly and you can change it and save the changes. The binding procedure (enrollment) passed without problems - the policy was obtained by the device and then everything went according to official instructions. I fully realize that this is not the answer to the question you raised, but at the same time it can help with a quick start. I hope.
p.s. I tried versions 3.3.1 and 3.3.0 - in both there is a similar problem with the enrollment. Version 3.1.0 does not have this problem. Versions tested on Ubuntu and WM Windows10.
Of course it would be great if the developer representatives tell you where to dig, to use a more current version. Have a nice day.
additionaly - also good work with 3.2.0

Glassfish4 execution errors

I have a brand new installation of glassfish4. I added one glassfish server to my list of servers in Eclipse kepler.
I now get the error Unable to start server on time. java.util.concurrent.TimeoutException. In the stack trace, I
see java.net.BindException: Address already in use: bind. I googled the first message and tried to fix it by removing
the osgi folder and replacing a glassfish jar as mentioned here - Unable to find or serve resource
That gave me a new error which said something like antivirus or something else is blocking glassfish. I googled the second
message and got one link which did not help - How do I clear an address for Glassfish 4.0 with default settings?
Finally, I decided to reinstall glassfish4 and try all over again. I get the same error messages again. Now, I don't know what to do. Please help me.
Thanks.

Tomcat 7 is not running on browser(http://localhost:8080/ )

Actually the apache-tomcat 7 server running at The Eclipse.but in browser getting error "The requested resource is not available." .Any reasons Please..?
When you start tomcat independently and type http://localhost:8080/, tomcat show its default page (tomcat has its default page at TOMCAT_ROOT_DIRECTORY\webapps\ROOT\index.jsp).
When you start tomcat from eclipse, eclipse doesn't have any default page for url http://localhost:8080/ so it show error message. This doesn't mean that tomcat7 is not running.when you put your project specific url like http://localhost:8080/PROJECT_NAME_YOU_HAVE_CREATE_USING_ECLIPSE will display the default page of your web project.
I had the same issue and for me, I tried changing the options in
Server Locations
and it worked.
Double click on the Tomcat Server under the Servers tab in Eclipse
Doing that opens a window in the editor with the top heading being Overview opens (there are 2 tabs-Overview and Modules).
In that change the options under Server Locations, and give Ctrl+S (Save configurations)
For me, Use Tomcat installation (takes control of Tomcat installation) worked
Try starting the server and checking if localhost opens in the browser. Else select a different option.
I do not understand why that issue came up. I did search but did not find a relevant answer(Maybe I didn't use the right keywords). If someone knows why that worked, kindly share.
Thanks.
There could be a number of reasons, have it as a checklist and go through it
Is your server running on 8080?I mean that is the default port but it could be configured to run on other.
Also there is a possibility that the default application is removed/uninstalled that is why it is giving "the requested resource is not available"
Also it could be a proxy issue. make sure you are not using any proxy in your browser.
1)Goto Server tab
2)Right on server -> general -> click on switch location.
3)Double click on the server -> under server location -> select tomcat installation.
4) restart the server.
It will be proxy configuration of your browser.
In NetWork Setting, use no proxy
For Manual proxy configuration add exception(No Proxy for in Firefox) like localhost:8080, localhost.
You may face two errors while testing tomcat server startup.
Error in the Eclipse inbuilt browser - This page can’t be displayed
Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to https://localhost:8080 again. If this error persists, it is possible that this site uses an unsupported protocol. Please contact the site administrator.
404 error in the normal browsers.
Fixes -
For the eclipse browser error, check whether you are using secured URL - https://localhost:8080. This should be http://localhost:8080
For the 404 error:
Go to Tomcat server in the console. Do a right click, select properties. In the properties window, Click "Switch location" and then click OK.
Followed by that, Go to Tomcat server in the console, double click it, Under "server locations" select "Use Tomcat installation" radio button. Save it.
The reason for choosing this option is, When the default option is given as eclipse location, we will see 404 error as it changes Catalina parameters (sometimes). But if we change it to Tomcat location, it works fine.
Sometimes another software can be holding this door and it can be the cause of this conflict, try change the door on the server.xml.
Double click on the Tomcat Server under the Servers tab in Eclipse
Doing that opens a window in the editor with the top heading being Overview opens (there are 2 tabs-Overview and Modules).
In that change the options under Server Locations, and g
You can run below commands.
./catalina.sh run
Note: Make sure the port 8080 is open. If not, kill the process that is using 8080 port using sudo kill -9 $(sudo lsof -t -i:8080)
Many of us get this error after setting up the eclipse and server for first time. This solution is -
go to server tab
select the properties option of your respective server and expand it
in the properties window ,
select general tab -> click Switch Location -> click apply
->click ok.
This may work .

GWT Development mode - Unable to load module in Chrome

I'm trying to load my app in development mode using Chrome v. 20.0 on my local ip 127.0.0.1.
The app fails to load, and the following is displayed:
message:
"GWT Code Server Disconnected
Most likely, you closed GWT Development Mode. Or, you might have lost network connectivity. To fix this, try restarting GWT Development Mode and REFRESH this page."
on top of the previous message (overlaid):
"Plugin failed to connect to Development Mode server at 127.0.0.1:9997
Follow the underlying troubleshooting instructions"
This started to happen about 6-9 months ago and after 1 or 2 page refresh, the module loaded correctly. Now, i cannot load my app in dev-mode at all using Chrome. (in firefox
everything is ok).
I'm using GWT 2.4
UPDATE:
Those errors are not accompanied by any code stack trace output. Usually, if I changed the address form 127.0.0.1 to localhost, the module loaded, but this doesn't work any more...
Had the same problem. Deleting / reinstalling the plugin did the trick for me.
Check Automatically select an unused port of GWT from Run configuration.
My similar problem solved by this
I solved this in chrome by:
go to chrome://extensions/
locate GWT Developer Plugin
uncheck the Enabled box
check the Enabled box
Have a look at http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/wiki/TroubleshootingOOPHM
This page is supposed to be displayed in an iframe below the message (hence the message "underlying instructions", but Google has changed some server code on code.google.com and they now prohibit display within iframes, which is why it actually doesn't display.
FYI, the issue has been reported on GWT's issue tracker http://code.google.com/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/detail?id=7301
Your problem might be caused by improper gwt plugin setup. Go to your gwt developer plugin options (red toolbox right upper conner) in chrome and add your web and code server addresses. That worked for me.
Allowing "localhost" as webserver and code server made it work for me (although 127.0.0.1 was specified for both in the browser)

I am not able to connect tomcat with eclipse

My eclipse used to work fine but now I am no longer the administrator of my computer(I no longer have administrator priveledges) and i see that my already installed and working eclipse is now showing errors in my jsp files of the application which it didn't used to show before..
also I am not able to connect to tomcat server which seperately can be started normally but not inside eclipse.....
Is this something to do with my not being administrator anymore of is it something else....
would highly appreciate the help.....
I have now been able to run my tomcat server without admin previledge but problem of many files showing error still persists.........
the below written jsp code is showing error in all the files....:
<%
pageContext.getRequest().setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8");
String label = pageContext.getRequest().getParameter("rswitb1");
if(label==null)label="";
else label = label.replaceAll("<", "<").replaceAll(">", ">");
%>
I am not able to get what the problem ....
if anyone could help...
The connection to the external tomcat should be using only TCP/IP port 8080, there is no reason why a non-admin user should not be able to do that.
It's possible that your tomcat password has changed (or hasn't been set up at all)
There is a troubleshooting section at the eclipse wiki (if you are using WTP, that is)
First, check out the tomcat server is on: "netstat -an" to
find that whether the port8080 is used(if you didn't assign another server port.).
check out whether the server is on(netstat -an).
Maybe 8080 is used by tomcat.
You'd better reinstall tomcat as non administrator.
