How to make the Navigation Drawer Shadow lighter - java

Im pertaining to the one when the drawer is open, the shadow is showing on the right side, this seems dark and the requirement wants to have it a bit lighter.
I've tried changing setDrawerShadow but doesn't seem to change at all.
im using the Gravity.START

How to change image during a scroll on Android

I'm a beginner on Android development and am trying to build my first app. I have an activity with a round target image and I'd like to make this image vanish at scroll down and display an another image instead that would snap to the toolBar (see the example images below).
I've researched this, but have only found information about using effects in apps where the image just vanishes. Perhaps, the Coordinator Layout could be useful here?

After scrolling up, I want to change to a state like this.
To summarize, I have to :
- make my round Image go behind de ToolBar
- make the rectangular ImageView2 appear below the ToolBar
- Align my buttons (I guess it's about speed ? The one in the middle should go faster or something like that).
- Display new infos coming from below
You should surely use CoordinatorLayout. The point is that you should add custom behavior to your ImageView.

Android: i need to do a menu like the image

i'm developing an application for android that is already done for IOS, is not big problem.
the thing is that my boss want it to be exactly the same, but one of the menus is the problem, is like a slide menu but with zoom and a background image, anyone have any idea how can i do this, i already google it but no results :(, a library would help.

I don't think if it would be an effective solution but you can use a RelativeLayout.
Put the selection part behind in a LinearLayout then put a framelayout front to contain list fragments. This way you shouldn't use an action bar to have absolutely same looking with iOs version.
When someone clicks open button apply an animation to your framelayout. scale it by %75 and move it 25% in y coordinate and move it %50 in x coordinate. When buttons in your LinearLayout apply a reverse animation to your FrameLayout. If swap button clicked change your fragment with new one. You can also aply a transaction animation to your fragments.
I hope you know how to handle this stuff. If no I can do my best to code an example.

flip board menu style for android

In my app,first activity if we click one button it should open sencond activity with transparence only at the end some part. So when we are in second activity, the content of first activity should visible some part. Its like exactly Flipboard style menu in android, in flip board if we click top red button we will get another screen in that we can visible previous screen at the bottom like this i need. If any one having ideas please share with me how to do flip board style menu.
Use Fragments for this problem that's what they are made for.
If you want to use API 8, I still recomment Fragments but then you need to use ActionBarSherlock it provides you with all features you need.

What in Android would allow me to touch the edge of my screen while playing my game and slide over an Item screen?

Android has many useful tools when coming to views and screens and layouts.
Description: While playing my game (running around as a zombie bear eating humans) I would like to allow the player to access an items menu via sliding a menu from the right side/edge of the screen. Or at the least be able to access a game options menu (not game settings which would be the menu button).
What would be the best fit for description?
P.S How would I make a question like this less like a discussion and more like a straight forward programming question when I don't really know what's available to do this.
Also, if this is the case, please point me to another location to ask a question that may require a discussion.

PS I personally don't see a problem with how you have worded your question if you are looking for ideas of views/widgets you need to perform a specific function/effect.
My first thought, and for a simple approach (this wouldn't be animated or dragged really), would be using a RelativeLayout where the portion representing the menu was initially set so that it's visibility were GONE, except for a small tab or arrow or something. When that tab/arrow is touched, the visibility of the View for the menu could be toggled to VISIBLE.
With visibility set to GONE, a view is not drawn or considered in any part of the layout pass when the screen is drawn.
You could populate a listview with some icons and when an particular icon is selected, then figure out which one was selected and then execute some function and hide the sidebar using an animation. I've never developed a game, so I'm not too sure how far it deviates from the standard, but I wish you the best of luck :) ! Android Dropdown Effect - Spinner or not?

Achieving a true "dropdown" effect (as seen in Adobe's Photoshop Mobile app for Android, image below) has proven challenging using Androids built-in methods.
As others on Stackoverflow have told me, editing the style of a dropdown list view of an Android spinner is limiting.
How is this dropdown effect done?

After viewing the Adobe slideshow I think the way I would attempt to get that to work, using the Android Java SDK, would be to create a ListView object with a transparent background, and then dynamically hide/show it in that position when the menu button is clicked by setting the View's visibility to VISIBLE or GONE.
Getting a ListView to be transparent shouldn't be that difficult. I'd look into AbsoluteLayout to get it to hover over everything in that spot.
Another option might be to display the ListView in a custom Dialog that you've written, again positioning it in that exact spot on the screen so that it looks like a menu extending from the button that was clicked.
It's probably done using low-level draw functions.
