How can i solve this problem ?
If your scope is provided I would think you would be expecting that dependency to come from a server resource. If that's the way you would deploy this in the end, you could try adding that jar to your server lib.
How can i solve this problem ?
Here's how >>you<< can solve this problem.
Look at the stacktrace to find the FQN for the class that is missing.
Use the findjar service to identify the public JARs that include the class you need.
Do some simple research to figure out an appropriate version. For example, identify and visit the corresponding developer website and see what they recommend as maven dependencies.
Add or modify a dependency in your POM file.
Repeat as required.

Hi' I'd like to make my application deploy in ROOT folder (I hope to fix my problem about twice deploy).
I'm using maven and Tomcat v8 but even if I change pom.xml like below the result doesn't change.
I have tried to manually ad ROOT.war but when I start Tomcat from Eclipse it make deploy under application name folder. The path into the web modules is /ROOT
Do you know how can I deploy as ROOT.war? Thanks

If I export as ROOT.war and deploy from command line it works
You can try using the tomcat plugin to do so with the following configuration:-
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.tomcat.maven</groupId>
<artifactId>tomcat-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>2.2</version>
<configuration>
<path>/</path> <!-- root folder currently -->
</configuration>
</plugin>
This trick worked for me:
Before
After
I had exactly the same issue, and spend lots of time trying to find the solution. Eventually, I solved it so I'm posting the answer here so that my future self may find it again if required!
The m2e WTP integration uses a different property for the name it gives the target war file. See M2E-WTP-FAQ for details.
Add the following code to pom.xml
<properties>
<!-- Eclipse will use this value when auto-deploying into Tomcat -->
<m2eclipse.wtp.contextRoot>/</m2eclipse.wtp.contextRoot>
...
<build>
<!-- Maven (and build servers) will use this value when building war -->
<finalName>ROOT</finalName>
...
</build>
</properties>

can nay one tell how to resolve this?
Add this to your pom.xml
<repositories>
<repository>
<id>xuggle repo</id>
<url>http://www.dcm4che.org/maven2/</url>
</repository>
</repositories>
It adds an extra remote repository to be searched for if xuggle:xuggle-xuggler isn't found in maven central (remote repository)
you are very unlikely to find xuggler jar in public repositories. xuggler is dying out, means any active development is stopped. Better chance is to find any one who has build the xuggler matching your architecture x32 or x64 and then manually install to your local maven repository
something like
mvn install:install-file -Dfile=c:\xuggle-xuggler-noarch-{version}.jar -DgroupId=xuggle
-DartifactId=xuggle-xuggler-noarch -Dversion={version} -Dpackaging=jar
here is a one
http://www.java2s.com/Code/Jar/x/Downloadxugglexugglernoarch54jar.htm
First make sure no firewall/antivirus is preventing eclipse from connecting to internet.
Add this node to pom.xml
<repositories>
<repository>
<id>xuggle repo</id>
<url>http://xuggle.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo/share/java/</url>
</repository>
</repositories>
After that right click project -> Run as->Maven clean
it will clean project then
right click project -> Run as->Maven install
This was causing because There is no artifact in central repository of maven named with xuggle.
OR If this fails too.
Download the xuggle-utils.jar and use maven:install command to install it your local .m2 repo.
This will definately solve the issue.
I'm trying to stitch together a mongodb spring data implementation using querydsl. I've included the maven repo, dependency, and plug-in as noted in the pom.xml below. Everything compiles all nice and pretty. However, upon launching the app from Eclipse/Tomcat, I receive a nasty error:

Any ideas?
It looks like since you use "optional" dependency it is not included in runtime.
I needed to update my neo4j community from version 2.1.5 to version 2.2.3 to use it's new features.
I worked with it and create database in it.
Now, when I'm trying to run my Spring project, I'm getting an errors:
Caused by: org.neo4j.kernel.impl.storemigration.StoreUpgrader$UnexpectedUpgradingStoreVersionException: 'neostore.nodestore.db' has a store version number that we cannot upgrade from. Expected 'v0.A.1' but file is version 'NodeStore v0.A.5'.

In my pom.xml I changed spring-neo4j.version from 3.2.2.RELEASE to 3.3.1.RELEASE
After updating of project in Maven dependencies neo4j-files has version 2.1.7 but I need 2.2.3. How can I update dependencies in right way?

Use SDN 3.3.2 which is to be released today or tomorrow.
Then you can depend on org.neo4j:neo4j:2.2.3 and it should work.
I have recently tired to fix the problem with maven dependencies in my java web project and I deleted all things from the repository folder, after that I did "maven update project" in eclipse and the problem was fixed, however other error appeared. The method I was using createNamedQuery(String, Class<T>) no longer exists in the javax.persistence.EntityManager interface. I did some research and I suspect that maven has changed the JPA implementation version to JPA 1.0 which is very annoying and also I don't really know how to fix this. I didn't change anything in pom.xml, the only change that I noticed is that javax.persistence package now comes from ejb3 jar from jboss-as-connector maven artifact. How can I fix this?
SORRY: I just found out that the ejb3-persistence comes from hibernate package.
