How to resolve this issue?
Your solr url is not valid. You need to write the core as well. By default the core is collection1. Therefore, in your case the url is http://localhost:8983/solr/collection1
Solr doesn't seem to be running - Connection refused indicates that something is unable to contact whatever it should contact. Your configuration is probably broken, or you haven't started Solr or you're running on a different port.

JavaMail : Connects on some machines and errors in some other machines

I am using JavaMail to read the java emails from gmail account. The code is working pretty fine on my Windows 7 machine. But, the same code errors out (below mentioned is the error) after running on Windows 2k8 machine. Absolutely no change in the code.
Can some one please help to know the reason for this failure?

Failed to connect to JMX while started to use the JMX authentication on Linux

My JMX client failed to connect to JMX server while I have started to use the JMX authentication.
I use Java 8 and Centos6.
I have configured the following settings:

Unfortunately my JMX client failed to connect to JMX server with the following exception:

To solve it I read carefully the documentation:
http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/management/agent.html#gdeup
The following comment about the password file is very important:
You must ensure that only the owner has read and write permissions on this file, since it contains the passwords in clear text. For security reasons, the system checks that the file is only readable by the owner and exits with an error if it is not.
I set read permission to a user and my client successfully connects to the JMX server:
chmod 400 <path to password file>

Oozie jobs struck in running state

I installed oozie 4.0.1 on a hadoop 2.2 cluster. After that, I tried to run a oozie job(java action). Everything seems to be fine :
When I run job.properties,it gives the job id as usually.
When i checked oozie console job is in running state.
It runs the java code.
However, oozie suddenly stops and shows the following error.

If you are working in hadoop-2.2.0 you must start job historyserver to avoid the above mentioned error.
By default historyserver was located in hadoop/sbin. while starting hadoop some times jobhistory server will not run so must start jobhistory server manually using below command.
hadoop/sbin/mr-jobhistory-daemon.sh start historyserver
