Navigation Drawer App does not change fragments when clicked

Good Morning, I am a newbie programmer, and I use Navigation Drawer Android Studio Activity to start. Everything is ok when I compile, but when I use the app and click on the different options, nothing happens (I mean that the layout doesn't change and remain on the activity_main.xml). I look for other questions but (I think) no one has had my problem.

Instead of R.id.fragment_container provide name for FrameLayout in activity_main.xml and pass that name while replacing fragment i.e.

This might work for you

Because you are replacing fragment with same class:

You can do this thing simple and easy way using common function or method and You never do mistake.
You have two option to use this One is using JAVA and second, is KOTLIN
The first Method I write below check this:
If you are using java, use like this method
First, create one function i.e name setFragment and pass the parameter Fragment class and second is a title (a Title is an optional if you use or not)
Declare the globally variable

How to create an abstract activity class and extend it to all activities?

I have navigation drawer menu and 6 activities. I want to create an abstract activity class, and move all my drawer menu code to it, and then extend it.

I don't recommend making a abstract activity for this purpose.
Instead you should have just one activity where your navigation drawer is attached.And replace your activities with fragments except for MainActivity which would contain the navigation drawer.
activity_main layout would looks like:

-NavigationView
And in the main activity whenever user clicks on any of the item in NavigationDrawer just replace the fragment with the required one.

Navigation drawer not showing

So literally I copied everything from sample android app for navigation drawer, in sample app it shows, in my it does not.

How to share the NavigationView between activities in Android (SDK21+)

Basically most of it was generated by AndroidStudio.
I now want to create a new activity -> PlacesActivity and whenever I press "Places" on the navView, starting that activity. All is good for now, the problem is I can't seem to be able to "share" the navigationView between both activities.
I've been at it for 3 hours: Nothing on those other similar questions worked. I tried extending the PlacesActivity with HomeActivity and it worked only partially (it wouldn't show the proper content and even then, I had to copy code from the HomeActivity class).
What's the best way to go about this?

Navigation Drawer is not opening on clicking menu icon

Navigation Drawer is not opening on clicking navigation icon(i.e 3 horizontal line on top left screen). On Lollipop it is working, but the problem is with Kitkat and jelly bean it is not working?

I face this problem today.
I think it's probably your DrawerLayout is at the root view, and you set the width and height = "match_parent".
In Lolipop, the tool bar is popup , so it's clickable. But in KitKat or lower version, it will click on the DrawerLayout, not the toolbar(the toolbar is behind the DrawerLayout).
My solution is to set MarginTop = "?attr/actionBarSize" in DrawerLayout.
