I did read others topics but not solve my problem.
I have a BottomNavigationView and 3 fragments. In one fragment I have a Toolbar/SearchView + RecyclerView (with cards) and a main BottomNavigationView.
The question is: In the fragment that contains a RecyclerView I need hide the Toolbar and NavigationView when scrolling list, I can hide the Toolbar but the BottomNavigationView I can't hide! And this block the lasts itens in the List.
Follow the code...
activity_main.xml

I am trying to implement navigation drawer in my main activity for user navigation. But in the main page i want recycler view to populate the data I have in my database. How can I design XML layout to support both recycler view and navigation drawer.
My XML file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<androidx.drawerlayout.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
tools:context=".Activities.MainActivity"
tools:openDrawer="start">
<LinearLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical">
<androidx.appcompat.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/toolbar"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:background="#color/colorPrimary"
android:elevation="4dp"
android:theme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Dark.ActionBar"
app:popupTheme="#style/ThemeOverlay.AppCompat.Light" />
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/frame_container"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"/>
</LinearLayout>
<com.google.android.material.navigation.NavigationView
android:id="#+id/nav_view"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
app:headerLayout="#layout/nav_header"
app:menu="#menu/drawer_menue" />
</androidx.drawerlayout.widget.DrawerLayout>
Try this approach.
This is main drawer layout:
activity_main.xml :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"

android:layout_gravity="start"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
app:headerLayout="#layout/nav_header_main"
app:menu="#menu/activity_main_drawer" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
app_bar_main.xml :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout

</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<include layout="#layout/content_main" />
</android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout>
content_main.xml :
Here you can have your fragment and RecyclerView
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"
tools:context=".MainActivity"
tools:showIn="#layout/activity_main">
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/frame_container"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"/>
</RelativeLayout>
Let me know what you have tried.
I tried to get this result by CoordinatorLayout but unable to set fullscreen image on background which expand on whole screen same like in image. I tried several ways like putting LinearLayout inside CollapsingToolbarLayout but not getting close to layout what i want to get.
I tried several way to achieve this but not getting anywhere.please help

What you should do is make another layout set it's background color and have another RelativeLayout in that. Then include you current layout into that one and it will be easy to handle for you.

I would like to follow the Google Play navigation design in my application.
I thought it should be pretty straight-forward, but unfortunately Android Studio doesn't offer such a built-in layout. I could not find a detailed example that implements that either. However I found dozens of third-party libraries about that, but the implementation varies too much and it looks like that there is no consensus.
I would like to get a NavigationDrawer whuch opens from the left, and based on what you click on the NavigationDrawer menu, I would also like to have tabbed fragment(Implemented with TabsLayout and ViewPager in the Fragment) on click of the first NavigationDrawer item (under the toolbar).
This is my code:
activity_main.xml
`
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"

android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#color/colorPrimary"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true" />
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:id="#+id/menu_container"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:background="#ffffff"
android:clickable="true"
app:headerLayout="#layout/navheader"
app:itemBackground="?attr/selectableItemBackground"
app:menu="#menu/menu_navigation" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
fragment1.xml
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"

android:id="#+id/tabanim_maincontent"

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you were looking for but I use a DrawerLayout on my Activity and in one of the Fragments which I display on the Activity, I use a TabLayout. My layouts look like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.NavigationDrawer"
tools:openDrawer="start">
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true">
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:id="#+id/app_bar_layout_main"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.AppBarOverlay">
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/toolbar_main"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:background="?attr/colorPrimary"
app:popupTheme="#style/AppTheme.PopupOverlay" />
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/content_main"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" />
</android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout>
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:id="#+id/nav_view"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
app:headerLayout="#layout/nav_header_main"
app:menu="#menu/activity_main_drawer" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
And heres the Fragment with the TabLayout:
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical" >
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.AppBar">
<android.support.design.widget.TabLayout
android:id="#+id/tabLayout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:background="#color/colorWhite"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.TabLayout"
app:tabGravity="fill"
app:tabMode="fixed"/>
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<android.support.v4.view.ViewPager
android:id="#+id/viewPager"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" />
</LinearLayout>
The only problem is that the ActionBar/Toolbar now is elevated. To fix this when I display the Fragment with the TabLayout (not all my Fragments have a TabLayout), I use:
private void elevateActionBar(boolean elevate){
//Elevate ActionBar (make ActionBar have a shadow)
AppBarLayout appBarLayout = (AppBarLayout) findViewById(R.id.app_bar_layout_main);
if(elevate) {
appBarLayout.setElevation(4);
}else{
appBarLayout.setElevation(0);
}
}
whenever I replace my R.id.content_main. Hope that helps somebody.
