Unable to find log4j jar parent dependency

I am using Maven 3.6.0 and I have Spring Boot Maven project whose pom file as follows :

For some reason I found in my lib folder the following jar log4j-1.2.14.jar. I want to exclude this jar from my final war, so I tried mvn dependency:tree but I couldn't find the parent dependency.
Also I tried to open Dependency Hierarchy from Eclipse but also I couldn't find this jar. How can I exclude this jar?

A dependency that has another dependency that has the scope provided won't lead to that provided dependency being on the classpath. It probably is there because it is needed for testing or building.
So what you should do is check your end deployment unit (your own jar/war) and check if the jar is there in the lib directory. If it is something else is managing/including that dependency. (You can use mvn dependency:tree to figure out which one).

bean with name 'org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.internalCachingMetadataReaderFactory' exception: QueryDSL MongoDb

In our project, we are implementing dynamic query with the help of QueryDSL MongoDB. Our application is using MongoDB as a database. we are getting this error. We can able to create generate Q class and also able to write the query using Predicate. But while running the application getting above error response as Destroy method on bean with name 'org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.internalCachingMetadataReaderFactory' threw an exception. When searched most of them recommend the jar conflicts.

Resolved above issue by removing dependency spring data commons core and removed the version of spring data commons. Found the problem is due to jar mismatch of different jar versions. If any such problem exists, check for jar file conflict for dependency, if no solution worked then create a new project with required dependency replace that dependency.

Can you please suggest me the how can I maintain version spring boot with spring-cloud-starter-netflix-eureka-client?

Java application using Maven Build

My project team is using maven build. We have a package name as **/**/**/RCS under which all the classes are getting generated. But the jar does not contain these classes for some reason. Is there a way to include these classes into the RCS.jar?
We are using maven build to compile all the modules in the application. There is no problem with other packages having a similar format.
Please suggest where the issue can be.

the problem is resolved. Changed the default excludes in plexus-utils-2.0.5.jar/org/codehaus/plexus/util/AbstractScanner.java which was excluding **/RCS & **/RCS/**. Commented the RCS line and voila, it worked.
