Maven build fails: package does not exist - java

I'm having a strange problem where I have one maven project that has a dependency on another maven project (both are mine) and I'm getting a compilation error complaining that packages don't exist - even though they do.

I've done research (including in this forum) and found numerous items on this issue. I've taken some of the advice found, but it still doesn't work. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Here's the scenario:
Project A provides functionality that Project B needs to use.

When I build my maven projects I almost always use mvn clean install. I've gone as far as completely removing my ~/.m2/repository and rebuilding, but it still fails.


As the documentation explains, a spring boot project isn't suitable as a dependency for the projects, as the class files are placed somewhere where they can't be seen by the other project, in BOOT-INF/classes: https://docs.spring.io/spring-boot/docs/1.5.x/maven-plugin/examples/repackage-classifier.html

While running spring-cloud microservices project, the server is not starting up?

Everything looks good, but still the application is not running...

You need at least 2.4.X Spring boot since Spring Cloud 2020.0.X requires at least this much version to work.

I've created a simple test gRPC server(Java, Spring) to test the technology.

I can't explain the real root of the problem but the thing that helped me is providing different ports for the server and gRPC, hope it will help someone

Jar file run failed of a Spring boot application

I have these Spring boot applications using a microservice architecture, and I needed to dockerize them, so I generated a Jar file for each, all of them are working just fine when I run them from IntelliJ, but the jar file is always showing an error when I try to run it, I added
false
as I saw in a post earlier talking about the same error, but still the same error, knowing I tried generating the jar file using
mvn clean package AND
mvn clean install

Maven build error: Fatal error compiling: invalid flag: -parameters

I have a SpringBoot application which build and runs perfectly in intelliJ (i.e. if from within the IntelliJ gui I do a maven clean and install).
Howevwer, if I try run mvn clean install from the cmd line, I get the following error:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-compiler-plugin:3.8.1:compile (default-compile) on project nexct-approval-service: Fatal error compiling: invalid flag: -parameters -> [Help 1]
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: invalid flag: -parameters
Any ideas on how to build the application from the cmd line?
I have my JAVA_HOME set to 1.7, because there are other apps I run on 1.7. This app runs on Java 14, so I have that set in my pom.

Maven: Compilation error package does not exist. How to add an extra source directory for maven to compile

I am working on Spring boot application with different project structure please find the attached screenshot.
When I go to eclipse and select Run as --> Maven Build with 'clean install' command it gives below error:
**[ERROR] COMPILATION ERROR :
[INFO] -------------------------------------------------------------
[ERROR] /C:/Users/UserName/Downloads/project-api/src/main/java/com/project/api/dto/APIDto.java:[6,35] package com.project.publicapi.dto does not exist**
As classes under src/public/java folder which contains package com.project.publicapi.dto is not compiled.
I have tried to build explicitly and run the project it works. But while building with maven the compilation fails with above mentioned error.
Any suggestion.
