so I have never had this happen before, I am trying to load a gradle project in IntelliJ idea, but I keep getting this following error.
Cannot use connection to Gradle distribution 'https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-3.0-bin.zip' as it has been stopped.
Here is the logs of the gradle process
Download https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-3.0-bin.zip finished, took 14 s 732 ms (69.3 MB)
7:49:01 AM: Execution finished 'wrapper'.
Could not find anything on google that was useful.
When it says "Cannot use connection to Gradle distribution 'xxxx' as it has been stopped" I simply closed the project, quit android studio, and then relaunched Android Studio and opened the project and it worked, i.e., Gradle was not stopped and I could continue.

I would very much like to get any information

I created my first project in Android Studio and set up emulator but when I run the application I get the error below and the build output: build failed. How can I fix this?

I found the answer to the error I got (exactly the same as yours). It probably happened when I updated Android Studio... Here's what I did and it worked:
Open any project, and do "FILE" > "PROJECT STRUCTURE..." (or the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S). Go to the project section (at the very top) of the window that just appeared and choose the latest version of Android Gradle Puglin (= Android Studio version) and Gradle (now it's 3.6.2 for Android Studio and 6.3 for Gradle). Once done: "APPLY" & "OK".
Second thing to do: "VIEW" > "TOOL WINDOWS" > "GRADLE". With the window that just opened, click on "TOGGLE OFFLINE MODE", the penultimate icon at the top of the window (it must not be highlighted anymore), and keep this window for a little while. Now build your project/create the apk file to run Gradle and download the necessary, since you have changed version (Connect your pc to the internet!).
Normally (at least for me), Android Studio will download what you need and you'll just have to wait a bit. As soon as the build is finished, go back to the Gradle window and reactivate "TOGGLE OFFLINE MODE" (it must be highlighted). Rebuild your project to make sure it works (I don't know if this step is necessary, but better too much than too little!), and you're done! No more errors and no more need to connect to the Internet!
These resources need to be installed and it can't be synced offline so you need to connect to internet and then sync build.gradle again in order to download these resources.
Hope this will help you.
The error message happened to me after I changed file names and file types.
I tried:
Build> Clear Build, and
Build > Rebuild
Both didn't work.
Although "Sync Project with Gradle Files" removed the error.
Note: I'm using ANdroid Studio Electric Eel | 2022.1.1
Also, it worked when I realised I have removed tools:.MainActivity on my constraint xml.
I am new to Android development and Java but after successfully installing Android Studio and the JDK, managing to create my first app and test it both in the emulator and on a phone now whenever I open Android Studio I get the following Message:
Gradle sync failed: Unable to start the daemon process.
This problem might be caused by incorrect configuration of the daemon.
For example, an unrecognized jvm option is used.
Please refer to the user guide chapter on the daemon at https://docs.gradle.org/3.3/userguide/gradle_daemon.html
Please read the following process output to find out more:

I have searched this site and extensively on Google and so far all suggested solutions I have found have failed.
I am using Android Studio 2.3.3 and JDK 1.8.0_131.
So far I have tried:-
Uninstalling both Android Studio and the JDK, deleting any folders left behind and then re-installing both.
Deleting the .gradle folder from C:\Users\$username$.
Changing the Build Process Heap Size to 1024.
Invalidating all caches and restarting multiple times.
Double checking and even Triple checking the paths to the JDK and Android SDK.
Ensuring that I have no extra open programs/windows and background apps in case it was a memory shortage issue suggested in some posts.
I am still at a loss as to how to fix this problem and open to any suggestions.
Thank you.
Strangely, restarting the computer worked for every single time in my case.
Sheff Do Following steps:
1.Start Android Studio.
2.Close any open project.Go to File > Close
3.Project.(Welcome window will open)
Go to Configure > Settings.
On Settings dialog,select Compiler (Gradle-based Android Projects)
from left and set VM Options to -Xmx512m(i.e. write -Xmx512m under VM Options:) and press OK.

The Solution Worked for me
1.Open the projects gradle.properties file in android studio
2.Added this line at end of file org.gradle.jvmargs=-Xmx1024m & Save the file
3.Close & reopen the project
Both method is same but you said new to Android studio so I give both suggestions..if any doubt text me
If this affects a single project, it can be due to a missing gradle.properties or gradle-wrapper.properties file.
Try these defaults in the project directory
gradle.properties
org.gradle.jvmargs=-Xmx2048m -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
android.useAndroidX=false
android.nonTransitiveRClass=true
android.enableR8.fullMode=true
android.buildTypes.release.ndk.debugSymbolLevel = SYMBOL_TABLE
and
gradle-wrapper.properties
distributionBase=GRADLE_USER_HOME
distributionUrl=https\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-7.4-bin.zip
distributionPath=wrapper/dists
zipStorePath=wrapper/dists
zipStoreBase=GRADLE_USER_HOME
So far I have updated to Android 1.0 and some of my issues where fixed but the Gradle issue is driving me nuts. I have searched everywhere and none of the solutions work for me I use Windows 8.1

I try to open Android SDK it wont open I tried to solve that as well by editing android.bat running as admin updating java reinstall everything. Nothing works.
Restarting Gradle when android studio shows that I have errors fixes them sometimes. Is it possible to restart Gradle without restarting android studio as it takes a while for it to load on my machine.
You can write the following onto the terminal tab in android studio:
gradlew --stop
After it executes successfuly it can take some few seconds to take effect (not more than a minute). The point is that it'll have to end the current task it'll be processing at that moment. If the task is frozen this command won't work.
As you already might know you can find all the tasks being processing at gradle console tab in android studio.
