I am getting these errors .
**Non-resolvable import POM: org.springframework.cloud:spring-cloud-dependencies:pom:${spring-cloud.version} was not found in https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 during a previous attempt.
Another error is
org.springframework.cloud:spring-cloud-starter-netflix-eureka-server:jar:unknown was not found in **https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2 during a previous attempt.
I tried different approaches such as changing this line to
<version>${spring-cloud.version}</version>
to 2021.0.2
but all this didn't help .

I am upgrade spring boot version from 1.5.9 to 2.3.5 and spring cloud version from Edgware.SR2 to Hoxton.SR6.
POM included spring-cloud-stream-schema, spring-cloud-starter-eureka and spring-cloud-sleuth-stream like below when it runs with Edgware.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-stream-schema</artifactId>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-starter-eureka</artifactId>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-sleuth-stream</artifactId>
</dependency>
After the upgrade, maven build gives below error.
[INFO] Scanning for projects...
[ERROR] [ERROR] Some problems were encountered while processing the POMs:
[ERROR] 'dependencies.dependency.version' for org.springframework.cloud:spring-cloud-stream-schema:jar is missing. # line 89, column 15
[ERROR] 'dependencies.dependency.version' for org.springframework.cloud:spring-cloud-starter-eureka:jar is missing. # line 97, column 15
[ERROR] 'dependencies.dependency.version' for org.springframework.cloud:spring-cloud-sleuth-stream:jar is missing. # line 109, column 15
Looks like these 3 jars are moved out or merge with others in Hoxton.SR6.
What would be the updated dependencies?
These dependencies are not supported now in Spring Boot version 2.x.
Add these updated dependencies in pom.xml :
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-starter-netflix-eureka-server</artifactId>
</dependency>

</dependency>
<dependency>

</dependency>

You might consider replacing these artefacts as follows:
spring-cloud-stream-schema: in this commit it was changed to spring-cloud-schema-registry-core as it's coordinates changed. Consider using that one instead.
spring-cloud-starter-eureka: this starter is deprecated and was removed from the BOM in this commit you might consider switching to spring-cloud-starter-netflix-eureka-client.
spring-cloud-sleuth-stream: it is deprecated and should not longer be used. I would recommend you to try to get rid of it as it is incompatible with some destinations or just add the version number you want to use at your own risk until you can get remove it. The version in the BOM of the Spring Cloud release you were using is 1.3.2.RELEASE.

Isn't it that spring parent should provide those versions?
How to provide the right versions and why the spring boot-parrent is not providing one?
I can see you have spring.cloud.version but there is no such dependencyManagement import like below (which will import all versions for child dependencies). Kindly note that <spring-cloud-netflix.version>2.1.1.RELEASE</spring-cloud-netflix.version> is available in this spring-cloud-dependencies pom file.
The spring-boot-starter-parent will not have any dependencies for org.springframework.cloud group.

I'm trying to spin up a mock HTTP server for my testing, but I cannot get Wiremock to work.
On the mvnrepository.com website, it is suggested as such:
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.github.tomakehurst/wiremock -->
<dependency>
<groupId>com.github.tomakehurst</groupId>
<artifactId>wiremock</artifactId>
<version>2.9.0</version>
<type>pom</type>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
This however, does not make it available to my test class when trying to import it as such:
import static com.github.tomakehurst.wiremock.client.WireMock.*;
If I remove the <type>pom</type> tag, I can import it but it then fails at runtime because it does not pull in all of the transitive dependencies it needs (such as the Apache Httpclient).
I am not really sure what <type>pom</type> does, as it's not really clear from other explanations, so I don't know how to get past this.
