AWS Toolkit Eclipse Plugin no Global Configuration - java

So I have always used Eclipse for development and I just got myself a more capable computer. While resetting all my environments and installing the AWS Eclipse Plugin. However, in the current plugin, there are no 'Global Configuration' option. Am I missing something? Was there some type of update? I have tried to re-install the AWS toolkit multiple times and I am somewhat lost now.
Running Windows 11 (Eclipse Version: 2022-12 (4.26.0)), if that is worth noting. This below is what it currently looks like.
This error in the Eclipse error log may be relevant.

Eclipse Neon Error: Nullpointerexception when adding Lucene 6.6 dependencies to build path (org.eclipse.jface)

I'm developing with lucene 6.6 in eclipse neon 3 and when i add different lucene jars (e.g. lucene-6.6.0-core.jar) to the build path of my project i get a popup with a nullpointerexception. It then happens everytime i select the project or content within it. Confusingly my error log is not mentioning lucene but a plugin called "org.eclipse.jface":

Is this a bug in eclipse or lucene? I found other topics about this plubing but it didn't help me a lot. Of course i tried things like cleaning the project etc. Does anyone know how i can solve this? I am in badly need to continue my development of my lucene app.
Ok, it seems like this problem was the consequence of another problem in my project: Eclipse could not load the project descriptor, because the web.xml had an error. Since i fixed this the other error is also gone.

atlas-run won't start Jira, cause of "Unsupported major.minor version 52.0"

I am developing a Jira plugin with Spring. Now I just want to start the plugin using Jira version 6.1.7 (atlas-run in the working directory), but this is impossible. I am using AMPS-Version 6.2.1 and I get the following error if I try to start the server/Jira. atlas-run is currently using JDK 1.7, so I do in Eclipse and compliance level is set to 1.7. If I change to JDK version 1.8 for the command atlas-run (JDK version 1.7 in Eclipse), I get many many other errors regarding the plugins could not be loaded and Jira is locked.
So my questions no are the following:
Do you know the mentioned error (exception trace) and do you know how to fix this?
Should I use JDK 1.8 for all development instances (Jira server and Eclipse?)
What can I do, if the productive server just uses JDK 1.7?

I have already passed through this same situation. Here are the answers:
The error is because the latest versions of JIRA and SDK only runs with Java 8. If you got some compiling errors when using Java 8, so it is not the same problem. For that, check if your IDE is pointing to the maven installation embedded on the Atlassian SDK.
Yes.
Since JIRA v6.3, both Java 7 and 8 are supported. After JIRA 7, only Java 8 is supported. What I do is to use Java 8 on my development environment and, as I want to support JIRA versions prior to 7, I use target level of Java 7 when packaging the plugin. This means that I use Java 8 to compile, but only Java 7 syntax to avoid incompatibilities. You can configure this on your IDE.
Hope that helps!

My code and pom.xml can be found here.
I just need to know how to add the dependency if I'm doing it wrong, I'm not new to java but I am new to Maven and Dependencies so please be patient with me, any help is appreciated.
P.S. I'm not trying to locate IP "0.0.0.0", I have pushed it as that to protect my own IP address.
I managed to fix my own problem, It was because I needed to run my project as a Maven build.
If you're having the same problem this question helped me.
I used the package goal as that's what I needed.
I also needed to change my pom to enable it to export dependencies into the built jar.

Jenkins Build Failure. ERROR: Failed to parse POMs

Hi I'm having this problem with Jenkins when trying to use it with a maven build project.
This is the error log.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I looked through older questions and none of them seem to answer my problem. I'm not using a repo, just local.

Eclipse RCP application starts only as administrator

A few days ago we decided to start using Guava in our Eclipse RCP application. I downloaded guava-14.0.1.jar from http://central.maven.org/maven2/com/google/guava/guava/14.0.1/.
After I had started eclipse.exe the application crashed. The .metadata/.log file contained the following errors:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.osgi 4 0 2013-08-12 15:56:32.033
!MESSAGE Application error

There is no error if the application is running as an administrator.
The application is 64 bit, so this is not an UAC virtualization issue. But it looks like the problem is somehow connected with permissions.
guava-14.0.1.jar seems to be a valid OSGi bundle: https://code.google.com/p/guava-libraries/issues/detail?id=688 (At least I found all necessary headers in MANIFEST.MF)
Any suggestions?
I fixed my problem by wiping out C:\Users\<user_name>\.eclipse folder. It looks like the problem was somehow connected with OSGi (Equinox) temporary directories.
Double check if you have included the bundle in the feature that you are using in the product configuration of your RCP.
Double check if you are using the right symbolic name and if you are requiring the right version.
I had a problem like yours because the guava jar was not being copied properly to the target platform at build time.
In my case I had to add the following in the feature.xml to ensure the version 0.14.1 was being copied since Eclipse Xtext and other components uses an older one:
<requires>
<import plugin="com.google.guava" version="0.14.1"/>
....
</requires>
<plugin
id="com.google.guava"
download-size="0"
install-size="0"
version="0.0.0"
unpack="false"/>
Based on your last comment, I'd think this isn't Java or OSGi related, but probably just a filesystem permission issue.
You may want to:
check that particular folder and its subfolders and files for unusal permission requirements (right-click, properties, security tab),
delete the entire folder, recreate it, and try again to check for a different outcome.
