I have an applet embedded in JSF page that runs and functions just fine, which also makes a call to SOAP web service. However, it is spitting out a lots of errors on upload that don't really make any difference on how applet works, but delays upload of it. I tried specifying codebase, packaging those jars in various locations of war, and many other options, but nothing really stops these messages. Jars can be found easily under http://localhost:7001/test, but not where for some reason it is looking under http://localhost:7001/test/lib folder.
Here is what applet looks like in the page:
<applet id="applet"
name="applet"
width="496"
height="122">
<param name="code" value="applet.Applet"/>
<param name="archive" value="Applet.jar,Core.jar,log4j.jar,j2ee.jar,jdom-1.1.3.jar"/>
</applet>
Lines of the code that throws that error is when Web Service is called:
Error at ws.FileImporter.<init>(FileImporter.java:42) - automatically generated code from WSDL:
public FileImporter() {
super(__getWsdlLocation(), FILEIMPORTER_QNAME);
}
Error at applet.util.WSUtil.<init>(WSUtil.java:20):
private ws.FileImporter service = new ws.FileImporter()
Error at applet.Applet.<init>(Applet.java:76):
private WSUtil wsUtil = new WSUtil();

In my XPages application, I backup certain objects by serializing and saving them to MIME entities in backup documents. To reload the objects later, I use the following server-side JavaScript function for deserialization:
var entity:NotesMIMEEntity=doc.getMIMEEntity(field);
if (!entity) return null;
var stream:NotesStream=session.createStream();
entity.getContentAsBytes(stream);
stream.setPosition(0);
var ois:java.io.ObjectInputStream=new java.io.ObjectInputStream(new java.io.ByteArrayInputStream(stream.read()));
var o=ois.readObject(); // ERROR OCCURS IN THIS LINE
ois.close();
entity.recycle();
doc.closeMIMEEntities(false,field);
When I try to read the object from the stream, an exception is raised:
java.lang.SecurityException: Java bridge is not allowed
I have set the java.security.AllPermission in the java.policy file, so I don't know why this exception is raised anyway. I also found that this problem only occurs when I run my application in the Notes Client, but everything works fine when I run it in the browser via the Domino server.
Can anybody tell me how to solve this issue?
PS: Here is the full trace for the SecurityException:

Is this in Domino 9.0.x?
In XPiNC the Java security settings are not managed by the server but on the relevant Notes Client. In the User Security settings, on the What Others Do > Using Workstation tab, for each signer a check box was added in R9 for "Load Java Code". This needs to be ticked for the signer of the XPiNC application.
I am trying to access different sites that use Java and every time I get the failed to validate certificate error. I have looked at the security setting for this version and there are only 2 options, high and very high. How do I get around this error? I shouldn't have to add every site I want to use to the exception list. Here is the error

Forgive me, but I'm very new to this. I have a JNLP file on my work computer, and have access to work at home. I set up my VPN, and copy/pasted the JNLP file to my home computer. However, when I launch it (I upgraded to Java 7 using Windows 7 Home Premium), I get the Unable to Launch Application issue.
It shows Unable to Load Resources and then
com.sun.deploy.net.FailedDownloadException: Unable to load resource: http: //pbs-sj1/pbs/jnlp/tnp/msgr/alt.jnlp

I've researched online quite a bit but to be honest, most of it seems to be on a developer level. I'm just trying to get the JNLP file to launch.
Any ideas?
The error message is telling you that it can't figure out what host you are trying to reach:
java.net.UnknownHostException: pbs-sj1
Probably the easiest thing to do is to edit your hosts file on the box you have this .jnlp file and add:
127.0.0.1 pbs-sj1
Then make sure your actual .jnlp file location lines up with the rest of the path you specified (/pbs/jnlp/tnp/msgr/alt.jnlp). Here's a howto on editing your hosts file on Win7.
-OR-
Rather than mess with the Hosts file, just make use of a file URL to specify where to find the .JNLP file on Windows--e.g.,
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/your_login/alt.jnlp
(I'm assuming you know to paste/type either of these addresses into your Java-enabled browser's address bar)
