i'm searching desperately for a working tutorial on how i can install jbpm3 and successfully
run the demo websale process from the jbpm-console.
With jbpm 3.2.9 (and jboss 5.0.1 or 4.2.3, with hypersonic) i am able to log into the jbpm console, but when I try to create and evaluate the Create new web sale order task, i get the following exceptions:
Error
Error completing task: An exception of type "org.jbpm.graph.def.DelegationException" was thrown. The message is: no applicable exception handler found
Closing the database context failed: An exception of type org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException was thrown, with the message: Cannot open connection
Does someone know an jbpm3 tutorial which just works?
ok it seens that it is a problem concerning the hsqldb's missing support for two phase commit transactions. my own processes runned fine as long as i didnt use any timers.
the solution would be to install another db, for example postgres.

i have a java spring app that runs just fine locally with gradle, but when i run the image version of it, i get a strange error that i am not sure how to resolve or debug
docker run -it --rm myregistry.azurecr.io/my-app:latest
is the command that i get the following error on:
I/O exception (java.net.SocketException) caught when processing request to {s}->https://rt.services.visualstudio.com:443: Invalid argument or cannot assign requested address
ive found out thru googling that this url https://rt.services.visualstudio.com:443 is associated with Application Insights (azure logging) which is one of my dependencies. does this mean something is wrong with logback?
the thing is, when i run with gradle, i see trace logs in the app insights instance i am trying to log to, so i know that connection is working outside of docker.
one thing to note is that in the deployed dockerized instance, i see the same logs on startup as the successful local gradle output, but then it dies after it sets the profile. maybe meaning that it is dying during the tomcat initialization.
what to do/try here?
this ended up being due to a web proxy issue, switching networks or creating a proxy rule are solutions.
I am in Eclipse with java in Macbook trying to create my first commit in Git but I am receiving an error, I followed all the instructions how to do it but I can't, I am attaching the error message, thank you for your help
The error message states "authentication failed".
You are probably providing wrong credentials. Seems like you are trying to push a commit using a user named "git", which is probably invalid.
Enter the correct credentials and try again.
Good luck!
I'm using IntelliJ IDEA to implement the Spring Guide for consuming REST services
https://spring.io/guides/gs/consuming-rest/
When I run the Application class I receive the following error
Exception in thread "main" org.springframework.web.client.ResourceAccessException:
I/O error on GET request for "https://gturnquist-quoters.cfapps.io/api/random":
gturnquist-quoters.cfapps.io;
nested exception is
java.net.UnknownHostException: gturnquist-quoters.cfapps.io
The URL itself (https://gturnquist-quoters.cfapps.io/api/random) opens fine in a browser and my HTTP Proxy settings in IntelliJ can connect to the site without any issues. Why would an UnknownHostException be thrown here?
Hey I know this is a bit late, but here is what I had to do to resolve this issue. Even if you are using system proxies, for whatever reason, using this type of GET request requires you to build out a proxy to use in the call, like so.

I have an application that connects to a Derby database using the Derby Network Server that has been started as a standalone process outside of the Netbeans IDE.
When I run my application within the IDE (I don't start the Network Server from the Services tab as it is already running) the following is observed:-
The application connects successfully to the server.
Subsequent database accesses fail with error Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: The connection was refused because the database MyAppDB was not found.
Error Code: 40000
The persistence.xml in Netbeans shows the following for the JDBC connection:-
jdbc:derby://localhost:1527//Users/David/Desktop/DerbyDatabases/MyAppDB
[david on TEST]
However the xml source in Netbeans shows the following:-
jdbc:derby://localhost:1527/MyAppDB
I can fix this problem by changing the persistence.xml source (in Netbeans) to show the following for JDBC connection:-
jdbc:derby://localhost:1527//Users/David/Desktop/DerbyDatabases/MyAppDB
Everything now works and the application runs fine :-)
HOWEVER!!!
As soon as I tell Netbeans to do a Clean and Build Project, it reverts the JDBC connection back to:-
jdbc:derby://localhost:1527/MyAppDB
On running the Application it can no longer access the Db with the same error as above.
Note that none of these problems occur if I run the Network Server from with Netbeans by opening the connection via the Services tab. This is no good for me as I want to deploy the application.
Do any of you guys know what is going on here? - I'm sure it's a simple mistake on my part.
Thank you.
This problem was eventually solved by deleting the persistence unit (using NetBeans) and re-creating it with the same name but with the JDBC connection containing the correct path. Is this a NetBeans problem?
I've created a neo4j database embedded into my java application. Creating nodes, relationships, properties and querying all of them looks fine, but now I want to visualize the database just to check if everything is okay. So I tried to load the test.db inside my neo4j-Server edition (running on the same machine), but however I get all the time the following error:
Starting Neo4j Server failed: Error starting org.neo4j.kernel.EmbeddedGraphDatabase, C:\Users\user\workspace\neo4j_emb_test\target\test.db
Don't know what's going wrong here. Does anybody has suggestions?
Thanks in advance !
Julian

You cannot run two embedded instances against the same Neo4j database at the same time, you need to run Neo4j in stand-alone mode for that. Then you only have access to the REST API provided, and not the Java API.
I had the exact same experience a little while ago that was answered here: Disable locking of Neo4j graph database?
