I am trying to make a second page show up via a BroadcastReceiver, but the App keeps crashing and I don't know why.
This might be a problem of the correct context.

Found the solution:
The declaration of the classes is case-sensitive!
Changed every occurrence from "second_page" to "Second_Page" and now it works.

I'm currently working on a simple android app. The idea is, it changes the wallpaper automatically after 12 A.M or when the date is changed. It's working on android Oreo and lower versions, however, it doesn't work on android 9(Pie). However, if I change the date manually from the setting of the phone, it calls the broadcast. I have googled a lot, and some suggested to register the broadcast on your java codes instead of Manifest. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
I have tested this question in Stackoverflow.
First of all, changing the date is not part of implicit broadcasts, secondly, I assumed it is. then I changed the codes but it didn't work.

I'm having issues getting code to run on boot, I've downloaded the source for an example that should work, but it doesn't. according to the example, it should produce a toast when the phones turned on, but it doesn't happen, I've tested on android 6.0 and 7.0.

I really wouldn't recommend doing UI stuff on a worker thread (service). While it can be done, it generates confusion for the user to receive a message outside an app context.
Having said that, if you need to do this you should be running UI code on the UI thread.

You have to follow below steps for achieve this task:-
Make a service in your app(Run all time).
check your app is running or not in service.(Through package name)
if running then good other wise run with the help of service.

I want to force my app to run the LoginActivity if there is no account present.
