Spring Integration Could not autowire field

I have read the TCP-Server-Client and try to run my example but I am getting the following error:

You need to import the XML configuration.
Add #ImportResource("foo.xml") to your #Configuration class.
Or, add the Spring Integration configuration using #Beans instead of XML.

It seems like you haven't specified the component scan location. Try adding the below tag to XML.

Autowired dependencies failed in spring-mvc Hibernate

i tried to run an application in spring MVC and Hibernate using Netbeans. The flow is that i'm passing an ajax request to the controller and i'm getting the
response to jsp page without adding #Autowired and Dao(ie, a plain method returning a string from controller).
But while adding #Autowired annotation and calling employeeDao i'm getting the below error(ie, unable to autowire) .
i have given the right package in the applicationContext.xml(com.demo) and also tried with but still getting
the same error. Can anyone please help me. Many Thanks in advance....

You don't need #Autowired on smtpHost, it should be already populated if you get the MailSender bean from the Spring context. Which you don't, because instantiating it with new MailSender() bypasses Spring altogether. Instead you should use context.getBean(MailSender.class).

How can I address this tragic error?

Before I switch to another framework, I was able to get this working using the solution outlined here -- http://blog.jayway.com/2011/11/30/spring-integration-tests-part-i-creating-mock-objects/.

From the error logs , i could see problem is with the usage of #autowired at different places.
Basically controller is injected into the container via #controller and component scan. Also xml config file misses the context: annotation config tag.
Ideally there is no need for #autowired to be used in the below statement.
