I've deployed an instance of tomcat with JavaBridge as specified here:
http://php-java-bridge.sourceforge.net/doc/tomcat6.php
I've added a JavaBridge.war project to my webapps directory, because I want to run php-cgi embedded.
I've updated java -D command line option in catalina.sh with:
-Dphp.java.bridge.php_exec = /path/to/webapps/JavaBridge/WEB-INF/cgi/i386-linux/php-cgi
(as outlined here: PHP/Java bridge problem)
aaand when I start tomcat in catalina.out I get this:
/path/to/webapps/JavaBridge/WEB-INF/cgi/i386-linux/php-cgi: /lib/tls/libc.so.6: version
`GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by /local/home/fxf-int/deploy/phptc/www/phptest/JavaBridge

P.S. I don't want to install php, would prefer to use embedded from a war as in JavaBridge.war. Updating /lib/tls/libc.so.6 is not an option. Help! :)
P.P.S. The only other place I've found this problem discussed is here:

I created a new dynamic web project and I added axis2 web service client in this new project. Then I turned this project into a jar file.
When I exported, I only selected src file. And I added this jar file and the minimum jars for the axis2 client.
this minimum jars:
What's the minimum classpath for an Axis2 client?
I run this main project and the project doesn't give any errors. But This project deploy
But when I deploy this project to the weblogic server, I get the following error:

Note:
When I added the web service client, the codes was created in this way
webmethods.wsdls.universitebirim.universitebirimv1.UniversiteBirimv1Stub.ıDdenBirimAdiGetir
But I changed them like this:
webmethods.wsdls.universitebirim.universitebirimv1.UniversiteBirimv1Stub.iDdenBirimAdiGetir
Code:
public static Birim birimAgaciGetir(long birim_id){
Birim birim= new Birim();
try {
UniversiteBirimv1Stub stub = new UniversiteBirimv1Stub();
IDdenBirimAdiGetir c2f = new IDdenBirimAdiGetir();
c2f.setBIRIM_ID(birim_id);
IDdenBirimAdiGetirE e= new IDdenBirimAdiGetirE();
e.setIDdenBirimAdiGetir(c2f);
IDdenBirimAdiGetirResponseE res = stub.ıDdenBirimAdiGetir(e);
System.out.println("Tested: "+res);
birim= res.getIDdenBirimAdiGetirResponse().getBirim();
//System.out.println(res.getIDdenBirimAdiGetirResponse().getBirim().getBAGLI_OLDUGU_BIRIM_ID());
} catch (AxisFault e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (RemoteException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}catch (Exception e) {
System.out.println(e);
}
return birim;
}
I used this in main project.
System.out.println(res.getIDdenBirimAdiGetirResponse().getBirim().getBAGLI_OLDUGU_BIRIM_ID());
I solved this problem, added two jars(StAX, Woodstox) in project
In my case the service was down and hence axis2 gave the same error. Once the service started, I was able to invoke and get the response.
I've seen a few of these questions on here, but none of the solutions/tips seem to be pointing me in the right direction. So I have 3 JDK's installed in the locations of "/opt/java/6", "/opt/java/7", and "/opt/java/8". All of these are set in the global Jenkins configuration. Jenkins itself is run using Java 8 which is the system default JRE that I set manually through alternatives (I'm using CentOS 7). I had a bunch of old projects that are built using maven and the maven compiler plugin which is set to source=1.6 target=1.6 . Every time I try to execute a build with the Java 6 JDK I get

This indicates that there's Java 7 interfering somewhere, but I'm not sure where.
The code is 1.6 compliant and most of the projects have no dependencies, so I'm not sure why this is happening. If I execute maven outside of Jenkins, the projects build just fine with JDK 6, so its leading me to think there's a misconfiguration in Jenkins somewhere, but I'm not sure where since everything seems to be as it should be. The paths to the JDKs are set properly in the global config and the projects themselves are set to use the specified JDK's. I apologize if its a duplicate question or something silly, but I've been trying to figure this out for days with no results. Everyone just says to check the paths and make sure there are no dependent artifacts built with a later JDK and I'm sure that this is not the problem.

You have an old java version. For example in my case I´m compiling an old product so I have to keep the java deprecated version.
So the solution was to download a newest jdk and configure the JAVA_HOME in the slave.
http://lmarccdk12.ptx.fr.sopra:14000/computer//configure in the section Advanced/JavaPath=/root/jdk1.7.0_79/bin/java (that´s the version I chose)
You will see the following message in the slave launch log:
[SSH] Starting slave process: cd "/root" && /root/jdk1.7.0_79/bin/java -jar slave.jar
Your Jenkins job is of type "Maven project", and this job type has a limitation in that it cannot run a Maven build with a JDK version that is older than the Java version under which Jenkins is run.
Beginning with Jenkins 2.357 (released on June 28, 2022) and the forthcoming 2.361.1 LTS release, Jenkins requires Java 11 or newer. Therefore, you can no longer run Maven projects with JDKs 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8. The minimum version is now Java 11.
To resolve this, you may:
Create a Freestyle project and use Invoke top-level Maven targets to invoke Maven, or create a Jenkins Pipeline project. In both cases, using an older JDK will be possible.
Use JDK 11 but set source and target version to the older Java version. I haven't tried that though, and I believe this option may cause other trouble.
For further information, see also Jenkins requires Java 11 or newer and Maven Builds Fails After Upgrade
I inherited a Struts 1 app consisting of about eight separate packages all compiled into the same app. I've been tasked with rewriting its ant build script. Previously it was copying all the config files separately into the /usr/local/tomcat/shared/classes dir, but our ops team has asked us to streamline things so the build script just creates a war file that can be dropped into tomcat.
I get an error when my ConfigurationManager class tries to load its config file. This file, config.xml, is currently being copied into WEB-INF before it's warred up with the rest of the app. So when I look at the exploded war (ROOT) I do find /usr/local/tomcat/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/config.xml. Here is the relevant portion of ConfigurationManager:
private static final String BASE_CONFIG_FILE = "WEB-INF/config.xml";
private void loadConfigFiles() throws RCConfigurationException {
try {
log.error("classpath: " + System.getProperty("java.class.path"));
ConfigurationFactory factory = new ConfigurationFactory();
URL configURL = getClass().getResource(BASE_CONFIG_FILE);
factory.setConfigurationURL(configURL);
config = factory.getConfiguration();
} catch (ConfigurationException e) {
log.error("Exception loading configuration files.", e);
throw new RCConfigurationException("Exception loading configuration files", e);
}
}
The log.error() call outputs this:
13:16:10,561 ERROR ConfigurationManager:75 - classpath: /usr/local/tomcat/bin/bootstrap.jar

I am spinning my wheels so I hope someone here can help me. Thanks.
WEB-INF is not on a web app's classpath.
WEB-INF/classes is; one option would be to locate the file at the root of the classpath if you want to load the config file as a classpath resource.
I'm using Jenkins to execute a Maven Build which includes an EJB integration test using Arquillian.
The server hosting the Jenkins and running the build is behind a proxy, which shouldn't be a problem because the settings.xml contains the valid proxy settings. (On my local system with no proxy it's working just fine.)
Resolving the dependencies by maven (while running mvn install) works perfectly fine (started manually from bash or by Jenkins) but if I use the MavenDependencyResolver of Arquillian I get an Exception:

How can I make sure this java code gets there is a proxy (if the missing proxy is the issue). Do I have to use environment variable or a settings.xml?
Is there an other solution to get this dependency with Shrinkwarp, e.g. as a jar? (I guess this would be my preferred solution.)
Environment Details
Server OS: Ubuntu 10.04
Maven 3.03
Jenkins 1.413 running on Tomcat 7
Arquillian 1.0.0.Alpha5
Thank you.
Daniel
proxy support for dependency resolution is not currently supported.
However, you can specify a path to settings.xml, which is used to activate specific repositories mentioned directly or in active (activated profiles).
See for comprehensive example:
https://github.com/shrinkwrap/resolver/blob/master/impl-maven/src/test/java/org/jboss/shrinkwrap/resolver/impl/maven/integration/ProfilesUnitTestCase.java
Basically, to summarize settings.xml magic:
By default, ${user.home}/.m2/settings.xml
Can be overridden by setting a system property org.apache.maven.user-settings
or org.apache.maven.user-settings
Can use MavenDependencyResolver.configureFrom(path-to-settings.xml-file) in your test
Cheers,
Karel
This is the same problem I'm running into as well. I've tried setting the -Dhttp.proxyHost -Dhttp.proxyPort on the JVM running the test, but still with no success. I finally had to resolve the Maven dependency via command line so that it would download to my repository before the test would start working. It would seem reasonable to assume that the Maven dependency resolver, running with the JVM, would utilize the HttpConnection class of the JVM to download the library. That's not the case, apparently.
I am running a jwsc ant task to generate a war file. It is working fine for me if I add the weblogic.jar to classpath before running the ant script (CLASSPATH=/opt/bea/weblogic91/server/lib/weblogic.jar export CLASSPATH)
But is is not working if I add this in my build.xml as follows:
<target name="GenerateWarFiles">
<path id="lib.jwsc.id">
<pathelement path="/opt/bea/weblogic91/server/lib/weblogic.jar"/>
</path>
<taskdef name="jwsc" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.JwscTask" classpathref="lib.jwsc.id"/>
<jwsc srcdir="${src.java.dir}" destdir="${build.war.file.dir}" verbose="on" debug="on" classpathref="lib.jwsc.id">
<jws file="sep/com/bt/prf/jws/TypeImpl.java" compiledWsdl="${ivy.lib.dir}/WSDLC/Jwslib-8.0.jar" />
</jwsc>
</target>
I am getting the following error.

I am running weblogic91 in Solaris.
I'm betting that in your deployment target (Which isn't posted here) is trying to 'clean' up the deployment directory, and is failing when it can't find the file called /var/tmp/_927vxb/web.xml

Run touch /var/tmp/_927vxb/web.xml from the command line and try to run the build/deployment again. This will create an empty file that will at least let you get past the file not found on delete error. This is not a long term solution, but rather an attempt to expose the real issue.
Look at line 231 in your /wls_domains/CIT/cruisecontrol-bin-2.8.3/util/Ivy/build.xml file. Perhaps there is a delete ant task that is failing on error. If this is the case, add `failonerror="false" to the ant task that is causing the issue.
Post more of your build file here. Being able to align the line numbers in the file with the error will help in decoding the issue.
