My data cannot be uploaded to mysql server database shows string cannot be converted to JSONobject

I am creating a simple android app to upload data to mysql server db, but shows error as string cannot be converted to JSON Object.
Can i make it for filtering vulgar words too?
This is for my android app, if this works fine i will use it for uploading words and meanings for my dictionary

You got type casting error because you try to convert String into JSONObject. You failed to sent your response as JSONObject.

Login with incorrect information

I made the login and signup page in android. I want correct data enter in the login form and than its login but when i use incorrect username and password its still login and shows the error like this :- org.json.JSONException: No value for res_response because when i signup the page my data going on the server through url in the format of JSON object.

call compare_version() method in else condition

First you have to understand the different between the login success response and the login failed(on a wrong username password combination) response.
You are reading "res_response" value from your JSON response although it is not in your login failed response.
Also you did a mistake in your code by hard-coding resp_code = "200";

Retrieve data from database to my app (NOT WORKING)

so i am trying to retrieve data stored in my database.
basically the user inputs a car registration number and a rating (between 1-5)and click button. once the button is clicked my code will execute. which gets text from both editext and send to my server. i have php file saved, which will check if the carregistration number matches the value in the databse. if it matches retrieve the current rating stored in the database. the value is then showed on another acitivity. The php file works fine. i tried by inserting value manually. the problem i have is that when the button is clicked nothign happens. i have used this code to retrieve user name and other details on another app.

I'm getting an error from your php page:

You can see the output of your response in the log by using this line above your JSON parsing (before it throws the exception)

I copied your success block into the exception block and it works as expected, so that code is valid. I would also put some kind of alert in the catch to let you know the failure happened when you're done testing.
Side note, change your parameter line to this...it's cleaner:

Java code to retrieve data from database using two input values

The program gets input rollno and name and displays the address and marks based on it. I get the output for marks and address as null instead of the value stored in the databse. The PHP code works fine. >

app crashing when trying to connect Internet

I am working with android studio and whenever I try to connect to internet it show Dialog that "Unfortunately 'app name' stopped" and then if crashes.
I have updated the manifest file for permission as well. please provide any assistance, It might helpful.
