Convert Text File to String in java - java

i have a written a code to send a text file by converting it into string and sending it into a web service. Please can someone tell me other available methods for sending the string as stream to Web Service.

Problems with creating AsyncTask. text file in an arraylist

I'm having some problems creating a method that runs in the background. I'm using Android studio java and want to create a method that loads a text file in an array-list. I have tried to do this in a public method in a separate class from the activity class. When I run the application, I get problems indicating problems with main thread, so I want to make an asynctask. I have looked all over the internet, but I cannot find anything relevant. Please ask if something was unclear since I'm a beginner. Any help is appreciated!

TCP in Android - ObjectOutputStream writeObject failure

I'm trying to send an Object from my phone to my PC(Windows) using a TCP socket via WiFi. When I try the same code between two PCs, it works without any error. But when I put the client code to the android device, it fails to send date using writeObject method. But writeUTF command works. It gives the "Software caused connection abort: recv failed" error. Is the network between the client and server setup properly via your WiFi? Download one of those ping & telnet test apps and use it to test your network connection.
Telnet is a useful TCP debugging app. If you have a server listening on 11.22.33.44 port 1234, you should be able to telnet 11.22.33.44 1234

An error connecting to Android Spinner

I am working on an Android app where I have a Spinner, and on the base of which item I choose, the app will read in text file number 1 or number 2, etc... I have written a code, but when I run it on my device, it says that "The application has stopped unexpectedly".

Since you are calling textUrl = new URL(textSource); inside oncreate() method textSource will be always " ". Better create a method and pass the new textSource value based on onItemSelected .

I'm trying to read a random line from a file. My code doesn't have error, just comes up with a force close as soon as it runs in the emulator and I can't work out why!

It will read the text file named "mytext.txt" string by string and store it by appending it to string variable s. So the variable "s" contains final string taken from file.

I have book with lessons about android . Now i realize help screen when i have many text . In book type about text . that android sdk can use txt files with many text . and in book typed code but when im use him , it doesent work (my app launch but i dont have any text on screen ) what's wrong? Well... for one, you are returning null from inputStreamToString(...). You need to implement it correctly before you can expect it to return anything.
