I have encountered an error with my applet that I can not figure out solution. I am loading my java applet which encompass a simple jasper viewer in it. When the applet is loaded it throws following exception:

Below is my applet configuration and I am loading applet using standard java deployment toolkit.
<script type="text/javascript" src="<%=basePath%>js/deployJava.js">
</script>
<script>
var user = '<%=request.getParameter("user")%>';
var attributes = {
code : 'applet.EmbeddedViewerApplet.class',
archive : '<%=basePath%>resources/appletviewer.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/jasperreports-applet-4.0.0.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/jasperreports-4.0.0.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/commons-collections-3.2.1.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/commons-logging-1.0.4.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/commons-beanutils-1.8.0.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/commons-digester-1.7.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/commons-javaflow-20060411.jar,<%=basePath%>resources/org-netbeans-core.jar',
width : "100%",
height : 600
};
var parameters = {
fontSize : 16,
REPORT_URL : '<%=basePath%>servlet/JasperReportServlet?startDate=<%=request.getParameter("startDate")%>&endDate=<%=request.getParameter("endDate")%>&user=' + user + '&reportType=<%=request.getParameter("reportType")%>'
};
var version = '1.4';
deployJava.runApplet(attributes, parameters, version);
</script>
All the jars I need in the applet exist in the resource folder of my webroot, which are
appletviewer.jar
commons-beanutils-1.8.0.jar
commons-collections-3.2.1.jar
commons-digester-1.7.jar
commons-javaflow-20060411.jar
commons-logging-1.0.4.jar
jasperreports-4.0.0.jar
jasperreports-applet-4.0.0.jar
org-netbeans-core.jar
All the jars are signed today, so no validity expires. I have double checked everything, but it always shows the above error. In iReport I can view the report and it is compiled to jasper object with no error.
The java console from control panel
I checked in the temp cache that the collections file is downloaded successfully and in the above console log it shows that the jars are successfully downloaded to the host computer.
Why is the ClassNotFoundException happening?
The error is from server side I came to know after tracing a console log, in my server classpath comons-collections is missing, I added it and things work perfectly.

I do face a problem with Java when sending an URL to Alfresco.
When a user logs into the my website, through Joomla, the server calls for the CRM, then passes the credentials to Alfresco
The URL is designed as follows :
https://example.com:8553/alfresco/testlogin.jsp?Itemid=1&username=USERNAME&password=PASSWD
A little background of the project :
This occurs on a replicate of an existing (and functional) webserver. The error appears when logging into the new webserver, which is an exact replication of the previously used server.
Browsing the web I've found several answers suggering to either copy and paste the Java folder, or to re-install it directly. I did both of those and none of them worked so far.
Moreover, this is the alfrescoTomcat log, which is the same as shown on the screenshot :

This is the only difference with the old server logs.
I am kinda new to such problems and would require your help to get this through. Either by redirecting me to a correct solution I may have missed or by clearing it up for me.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
I am gonna give this tip if anyone encounters the same problem :
What I did to fix this error was simply to rename my script (the one who triggered the error) to old.script.jsp. Then using notepad++ I copied/pasted the code and saved it under the old name script.jsp.
Everything works fine by now.
I need your help. I'm running a repast simulation from another Java application.
What I intend to do is to upgrade the repast version 1.2 to the repast version 2.0.
How can I do this?
I tried to replace the repast.simphony.bin_and_src.jar with the latest version of it (repast 2.0) but such an error occurs:

I saw your question as I have this problem too. I found the cause of the problem in
this email group. For those that aren't interested in clicking on a link, the problem arises because user_path.xml files were introduced with Repast Simphony 2.0, whereas earlier versions do not use this file.
There is apparently an automated method to update your old packages, see section 2.5 here. But there could still be issues with the code.
I'm going to try to reconstruct the program I'm trying to use in the latest version. As Nick says in his reply in that archive, the alternative is to install an earlier version of RS which doesn't have user_path.xml files.

The remote tomcat server has enough permissions to the specified file path but even then it says that the access is denied.
I went through a lot of surfing on internet but in vain....none of the solutions helped me out. Could anyone share a piece of information regarding the issue .....???
Z sounds like a mapped drive.
Mapped drives are not available for serverprocesses, that are startet as a service, even if they are running as a user.
Use the full qualified UNC-path instead.
*update:
It is possible to map the drive by the process itself and use it, but you should not do this.
I have my website running on Tomcat. When I try to access one of my pages to do a status check, it checks on a particular JAR file. On Red Hat 5, but not on Windows, I get the following error:
java.lang.ClassCastException: LoggingPasshashInfo cannot be cast to PasshashInfo
I got this JAR from a third party and am using it just as I got it. According to Apache's tatus page, the RH setup is on Tomcat version 7.0.22 and JVM version 1.6.0_27-b07. Windows is on Tomcat 7.0.19 and JVM 1.6.0_26-b03. Red Hat's Tomcat was upgraded from 6.0.33 over the course of trying to get this fixed.
Anyway, I'm a bit new at this and, aside from getting the setups to look as similar as possible, I'm not sure how to go about solving this. Any help would be fine, and if I've failed to share any important details, let me know. And just to reiterate, the JAR I'm working with is a black box.

I suspect you have more than one copy of the jar file installed on the Linux server. The result of this could be that the same jar is loaded by multiple classloaders. Classes that would normally be related, but are loaded by unrelated classloaders, are not convertible via a cast. Check carefully for other copies of the jar file -- for example, in Tomcat's top-level "server/lib" directory -- and remove all but one.

Based on a some quick research into this issue, it appears to be caused by using different JDK levels between the app server and the client. Most of the examples I have seen have shown it to occur when using Java 6 on the client while running Weblogic on Java 5.
While I have not personally tried it, the recommendation is to add the following to your client application's startup command:
-Dsun.lang.ClassLoader.allowArraySyntax=true
Setting this property enables a backwards compatibility mode in the ClassLoader's loadClass method.
Here is a link to an Oracle forum question that provides some additional information.
Alternatively, you would have to look at making sure the client and server are running the same JVM level if you are performing direct integrations. Obviously, this is not usually the optimal solution.
