Sharedpreferences android studio error saving data [duplicate]

I saved my data from an numberDecimal edit text using sharedpreference. When I want to get that data in another activity, it always appears as null, so it wasn't saved correctly. Any suggestion?
This is my code from where I save the data :

i think your condition is wrong and because of that your saving null object in shared preference don't check the string like this if (User_Level == "")the == operator dose not work on the strings in java ! you should use equals method for comparing to String like this "Amir".equals("Amir")
use this instead if (User_Level==null||User_Level.isEmpty())

You are missing to put sharedPreference name as parameter causes error.
Instead of this
SharedPreferences sharedPref = getPreferences(Context.MODE_PRIVATE);
SharedPreferences.Editor editor = sharedPref.edit();
Change
SharedPreferences sharedPref = getApplicationContext().getSharedPreferences("sharedPreferenceName",Context.MODE_PRIVATE);
SharedPreferences.Editor editor = sharedPref.edit();

You can't compare string value with int format in if loop. Change
if(User_Level == "")
To
if(User_Level.equals(""))
So it will check the condition as correct. Otherwise above will execute else part even if its null.

i have a table called admin thats contain field name, email and etc.. how can i take the data from databse then save my data like name, email, alamat and the other to shared prefences. then can you help me to call it to another activity?

First of all you have to create SharedPreferences
SharedPreferences pref = getApplicationContext().getSharedPreferences("YOUR_PREF_NAME", MODE_PRIVATE);
Editor edt = pref.edit();
To add value in preference:
edt.putString("name", name);
edt.putString("email", email);
edt.putString("alamat", alamat);
edt.putString("notelp", notelp);
edt.putString("username",username);
// Save your changes
edt.commit();
Now for getting data from preference:
String name=pref.getString("name", null);
String email=pref.getString("email", null);
String alamat=pref.getString("alamat", null);
String notelp=pref.getString("notelp", null);
String username=pref.getString("username", null);
If you want to clear the preference data:
edt.clear();
edt.commit();

Save like below.

In your other activity....first receive data from intent...like this

now,save this data into shared prefrences....to do that...you need sharedPreferences.Editor to write data.....like this...

SharedPreferences Login

I'm trying to create something that needs to get information in the first time and save it. The app starts at the MainActivity, if it does not have the information needed, the app send you to the MotoActivity. Once the app has the information you don't need to go to the MotoActivity anymore. I know i'm wrong but I don't know how to do.

First check for the very first time that, if "userLoggedBefore" is true or false from the SharedPreferences, if the user had used the application before and had entered the right credentials, we will save authenticated to true and if he hasn't we will set the default value as false.

I'm attempting to use something such as:
SharedPreferences.Editor editor = getSharedPreferences(DATE_PREF, MODE_PRIVATE);
but I'm getting an error stating DATE_PREF cannot be resolved to a variable.

I'm getting two errors stating "editor cannot be resolved" at:
editor.putLong("time", date.getTime());
editor.commit();
due to the fact I removed the lines which referenced the editor - my question is: will my preferences still be saved as shown below? (I need this value to persist after reboot.)
I've tried using:
SharedPreferences.putLong("time", date.getTime());
SharedPreferences.commit();
as well as:
putLong("time", date.getTime());
commit();
However both methods are causing errors and I just want to make sure the values will be stored after reboot.

Add several appWidgets with different configuration?

I've created a widget which displays a simple textview, which is editable as an Edittext in a configuration activity. I save the inputted text with shared preferences, so the user can tap the widget to edit the text, and the already inputted text appears in the edittextfield.
My problem is this. I would like the user to be able to add multiple widgets, but when a seccond widget is added, the same text as in the other widget is loaded from shared preferences. And, when on widget is edited so is the other one. Hope i'm being clear. I kinda have an idea it has something to do with appWidgetIds but i cannot figure it out.

You probably don't want to use getDefaultSharedPreferences here. All widgets share the same default shared preferences, so they will be constantly overwriting each other.
I had the same situation in my own app, so I used a custom preference file for each widget. You can name the preference file with the widgetID, and then each widget will always get it's own unique set of preferences.
In the configuration PreferenceActivity:
this.getPreferenceManager().setSharedPreferencesName(
"widget" + String.valueOf(mAppWidgetId)
);
This will store all of the PreferenceActivity settings into a preference file named after the widget id.
Then in the widget itself, just retrieve the file corresponding to its id:
preferences = context.getSharedPreferences(
"widget" + String.valueOf(appWidgetId)
, Context.MODE_PRIVATE);
And retrieve preferences like normal.
