Because of the above mentioned error I am not able to move ahead with code.please suggest me how should i resolve it.
I changed the dependency for sql with several versions still it did not work.Please tell me what all dependencies i need to add in pom.xml to run a database oriented program?
I am using mysql as database.
I have pasted entire code so check if any other mistake.

pom is missing Spring-JDBC module
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-jdbc</artifactId>
<version>${org.springframework-version}</version>
</dependency>

You probably have no dependency:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-dao</artifactId>
<version>2.0.8</version>
</dependency>

Hibernate PropertyAccessException. Spring dependencies problem

My application originally used only Hibernate and everything worked fine, but with Spring i'm getting an exception. It feels like Spring causes different behavior for Hibernate.
So with Spring & Hibernate i get this exception trace:

application.properties

Only difference is when i start application with Spring, i dont get these exceptions when i dont use Spring.
I think the issue is from the fact that you setter is private and should be public
private void setLink(String link) {
this.link = link;
}
Should be
public void setLink(String link) {
this.link = link;
}
Same for setVersion and setDepth
I found out, I commented these maven dependencies
<!-- <dependency>-->
<!-- <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>-->
<!-- <artifactId>spring-boot-devtools</artifactId>-->
<!-- <scope>runtime</scope>-->
<!-- <optional>true</optional>-->
<!-- </dependency>-->
<!-- <dependency>-->
<!-- <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>-->
<!-- <artifactId>spring-boot-starter-test</artifactId>-->
<!-- <scope>test</scope>-->
<!-- </dependency>-->
And everything started working... I guess devtools are the reason, dont want to check, I tried so many other stuff, and this is the reason...

spring-repository save doesn't work when add spring-batch dependency?

There is application on spring4+jpa deploied on websphere 8.5.5.13
There is JPA saving in database.
So, after I added spring-batch -I faced with problem, jpa entities doesn't save.
So, the reason in transaction manager configuration like here, if I add transaction manager - JPA try to use it too.
I have root config like
#Configuration
#EnableWebMvc
#EnableBatchProcessing
#ComponentScan(basePackages = {"config"})
#PropertySource("classpath:application.properties")
public class WebAppInitalizer implements WebApplicationInitializer {
#Override
public void onStartup(ServletContext servletContext) throws ServletException {
AnnotationConfigWebApplicationContext rootContext = new AnnotationConfigWebApplicationContext();
rootContext.register(
WebConfig.class,
ServiceConfig.class,
PersistenceConfig.class,
BatchConfig.class
);
....
}
For just save entity I use spring-controller and spring repositoty. Code for saving is
record = new UserRecord(name, surname, age, updateDateTime, serialize(UserToSave));
entity:
#Entity
#Audited
#Table(name = "UserRecord")
#NoArgsConstructor(access = AccessLevel.PUBLIC)
#AllArgsConstructor
#Getter
#Setter
#Access(AccessType.FIELD)
public class UserRecord {
#Id
#GeneratedValue(generator = "uuid")
#GenericGenerator(name = "uuid", strategy = "uuid2")
#Column(name = "PR_KEY")
private String prKey;
//Business Key
#Column(name = "name", length = 100, unique = false)
private String name;
//Business Key
#Column(name = "surname", length = 100, nullable = false)
private String surname;
//Business Key
#Column(name = "age", length = 100, nullable = false)
private int age;
#Column(name = "updateDateTime", length = 50, nullable = false)
private Timestamp updateDateTime;
#Version
private int version;
#Column(name = "user", length = 100000)
#Lob
private byte[] user;
public UserRecord(String name, String surname, String age, Timestamp updateDateTime, byte[] user) {
this.name = name;
this.surname = surname;
this.age = age;
this.updateDateTime = updateDateTime;
this.user = user;
}
}
Spring-repository:
#Repository
public interface UserRepository extends CrudRepository<UserRecord, String>
{}

So, this is libraries issue? (I tried to comment all spring-batch code and leaves only depedency in pom - and it starts to work..
my beans related with database is:
#Configuration
#EnableTransactionManagement
#EnableJpaAuditing
#EnableJpaRepositories(basePackages = {"persistence"})
#ComponentScan(basePackages = {"persistence""})
public class PersistenceConfig {
#Bean
#Resource(type = DataSource.class, lookup = "jdbc/MyDataBase", name = "jdbc/MyDataBase")
public DataSource dataSource() {
final JndiDataSourceLookup dsLookup = new JndiDataSourceLookup();
dsLookup.setResourceRef(true);
DataSource dataSource = dsLookup.getDataSource("java:comp/env/jdbc/MyDataBase");
return dataSource;
}
#Bean
public LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean entityManagerFactory() {
LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean entityManager = new LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean();
entityManager.setDataSource(dataSource());
entityManager.setPackagesToScan(PACKAGE_WITH_JPA_ENTITIES);
entityManager.setJpaVendorAdapter(new HibernateJpaVendorAdapter());
entityManager.setJpaProperties(getHibernateProperties());
log.info("Entity Manager configured.");
return entityManager;
}
#Bean
public JpaTransactionManager transactionManager(EntityManagerFactory entityManagerFactory) {
JpaTransactionManager transactionManager = new JpaTransactionManager();
transactionManager.setEntityManagerFactory(entityManagerFactory);
return transactionManager;
}
//Set properties hibernate
private Properties getHibernateProperties() {
Properties properties = new Properties();
properties.put("hibernate.dialect", "org.hibernate.dialect.OracleDialect");
properties.put("hibernate.show_sql", "true");
properties.put("hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto", "none");
properties.put("org.hibernate.envers.do_not_audit_optimistic_locking_field", false);
properties.put("verifyServerCertificate", false);
properties.put("useSSL", false);
properties.put("requireSSL", false);
properties.put("useLegacyDatetimeCode", false);
properties.put("useUnicode", "yes");
properties.put("characterEncoding", "UTF-8");
properties.put("serverTimezone", "UTC");
properties.put("useJDBCCompliantTimezoneShift", true);
return properties;
}
}
I think that reason is in Transaction management, but can't to configure it correct way. If I use this way for creating transaction management:
public PlatformTransactionManager getTransactionManager() throws Exception {
return new WebSphereUowTransactionManager();
}
or
public PlatformTransactionManager getTransactionManager() throws Exception {
return new DataSourceTransactionManager(dataSource);
}
I have an error message
Error 500: org.springframework.web.util.NestedServletException:
Request processing failed; nested exception is
org.springframework.jdbc.BadSqlGrammarException:
PreparedStatementCallback; bad SQL grammar [SELECT JOB_INSTANCE_ID,
JOB_NAME from BATCH_JOB_INSTANCE where JOB_NAME = ? and JOB_KEY = ?];
nested exception is java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table
or view does not exist
this is because I have no temp table for spring batch..
If I used
public PlatformTransactionManager getTransactionManager() throws Exception {
return new ResourcelessTransactionManager();
}
spring - batch work, but doesn't work saving jpa entities..
Root cause is not in dependecy conflict. The reason is that there are 2 bean with same name for JPA and for spring-batch. So, creating bean with different name is solved a problem.
#Bean
public ResourcelessTransactionManager springBatchTransactionManager() {
return new ResourcelessTransactionManager();
}
#Bean
public JobRepository jobRepository(ResourcelessTransactionManager springBatchTransactionManager) throws Exception {
MapJobRepositoryFactoryBean mapJobRepositoryFactoryBean = new MapJobRepositoryFactoryBean(springBatchTransactionManager);
mapJobRepositoryFactoryBean.setTransactionManager(springBatchTransactionManager);
return mapJobRepositoryFactoryBean.getObject();
}

How to fix my first Hibernate JAVA program

I created a new Maven project , I installed JBoss tools in Eclipse Kepler (including Hibernate) and I wanted to test a Hibernate program so I did this program below, but when I run as Java program I get errors / exceptions.
Here are my files :
File SaveStudent.java :
package com.hibernate.demo;
import com.hibernate.entity.student;
import org.hibernate.Session;
import org.hibernate.SessionFactory;
import org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration;
public class SaveStudent {
public static void main(String[] args) {
SessionFactory f = new Configuration()
.configure("hibernate.cfg.xml")
.addAnnotatedClass(student.class)
.buildSessionFactory();
Session session = f.getCurrentSession();
try {
System.out.println("Creating student...");
student st = new student("X","X","xx#xx.xx");
session.getTransaction();
System.out.println("Saving ...");
session.save(st);
session.getTransaction().commit();
System.out.println("Done!!!");
} finally {
session.close();
f.close();
}
}
}
File student.java :
package com.hibernate.entity;
import javax.persistence.Column;
import javax.persistence.Entity;
import javax.persistence.Id;
import javax.persistence.Table;
#Entity

According to docs you should update your Spring dependency to 4.3 if you want to use Hibernate 5.2.
Also you have to correct dependencies for Hibernate search (it's releases are different then Hibernate's core).
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate-search-orm</artifactId>
<version>5.5.4.Final</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.hibernate</groupId>
<artifactId>hibernate-search-engine</artifactId>
<version>5.5.4.Final</version>
</dependency>

When I hit the url /encoders in browser, i get the below error -
There was an unexpected error (type=Not Acceptable, status=406). Could
not find acceptable representation
The jackson related jars in my calsspath are -
jackson-core-asl : 1.9.13
jackson-jaxrs : 1.9.13
jackson-mapper-asl : 1.9.13
jackson-annotations : 2.6.3
jackson-core : 2.6.3
jackson-module-jaxb-annotations : 2.2.3
jackson-jaxrs-json-provider : 2.2.3
jackson-jaxrs-base : 2.5.4
jackson-databind : 2.6.3
So, I have MappingJackson2HttpMessageConverter in my classpath.
Please suggest. Thanks in advance.
There is a solution that will work out-of-the-box, similarly to JAX-RS but with a bit worse output. The solution uses jackson-dataformat-xml. Add dependency to your project:
<dependency>
<groupId>com.fasterxml.jackson.dataformat</groupId>
<artifactId>jackson-dataformat-xml</artifactId>
</dependency>
Response will look like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<List>
<item>
<id>1</id>
<name>testEncoder1</name>
<flagActive>true</flagActive>
</item>
<item>
<id>2</id>
<name>testEncoder2</name>
<flagActive>true</flagActive>
</item>
<item>
<id>3</id>
<name>testEncoder3</name>
<flagActive>true</flagActive>
</item>
</List>
For further details please look at Spring MVC Way (jackson-dataformat-xml)
try
http://localhost:8080/mcs-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT/encoders.
mcs is the name of the application and
0.0.1-SNAPSHOT the version.
If it doesn't works you have to add a global path into the RequestController. Something like:
#RestController
#RequestMapping(value = "/mcs")
public class MCSController {
.
.
#RequestMapping(value = "/encoders", method = { RequestMethod.GET }, produces = { MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON,
MediaType.APPLICATION_XML })
public List<EncoderVO> getEncoders() {
and this request:
http://localhost:8080/mcs-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT/mcs/encoders
i hope it helps you.
Cheers
Add this dependecy in you POM.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>com.fasterxml.jackson.core</groupId>
<artifactId>jackson-databind</artifactId>
<version>2.8.8</version>
problem is with version of this jar. so please try out this solution
