I'm trying to follow the official Android guide for CABforListView very closely, but I have not been able to activate context action view on my ListView item long press.

I have tried using listView.setOnItemLongClickListener() to start ActionMode manually, but while that has launched contextual action mode I was not able to do multiple selects, and no tutorial/guide has ever needed to do this. I am missing something.
Basically, I want to achieve exactly this effect as seen in Jelly Bean's alarm clock:
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Based on #Luksprog comment, returning true from onCreateActionMode() will fix your problem

I need to allow user to CLICK anywhere on the screen, so I've implemented onClick listener for mainLayout and it worked great.
But the problem is I've got to add a scrollview inside mainLayout to support small screen sizes and after adding scrollview, it blocks the parentLayout (in my case mainLayout) CLICK EVENT.
Just to exaplin this, a sample layout is as follows.

I searched for this and found various ideas like disableing onClick manually in all other views inside scrollview etc but non of them works.
NOTE: I tried both implementing onClick listener manually in java and adding android:onClick="onClick_MainLayout" in to layout. Both the same.

Your Scroll view overlaps the linear layout i.e #mainLayout,so
set its height to wrap content
then you can perform onclick for both scroll view buttons and mainlayout.

I have two TextView which I want to put a custom font on.
In the OnCreate of my MainActivity, after the setContentView call, I wrote the following code:

But for some reason, the font stays default.
The app runs on Galaxy S6 Edge device (Lollipop 5.0.2).
I read here that there's a problem with custom fonts on Lollipop, and in order to fix it I converted my font with the tool provided in the thread to ttx and vice versa, but even this didn't help.
Any ideas what can I do?

Ok so I found out recently that the facebook login button caused the problem, since everything worked when it was commented out.
So basically to solve this problem use another method to show the button instead using support fragment manager; sdk docs has lots of examples.

I've tried many possible codes, such as

but the scroll is always stuck (it moves a little but it's always the same position with above codes) and the screen barely shows the selected number of NumberPicker. How can I achieve the goal to set scroll so that the screen shows the entire NumberPicker?
just add this line to your edittext code in xml :android:imeOptions="actionSend" and then just try this into your activityaddActivity_scrollview.smoothScrollTo(0, 480);
I should've added android:imeOptions="actionSend" to <EditText> in order to properly listen on onEditorAction(). I thought it'd be okay with android:singLine="true" because that option enabled "next" action on keyboard.

I have a listview that is displayed to the user, and I am figuring out ways to make the listview non-infinite, and limit it to 25 items. I am also trying restrict user from being able to display a number in the EditText. So to handle your edit text problem, you can use this

Now the above characters are the only one that can be entered into the EditText. Also you can change the keyboard type in the android:inputType.
Additionally you wanted to limit the number of entries in a ListView. In the BaseAdapter method of your code, change this:

UPDATE:
Well what you can do is create a custom ArrayAdapter and modify the getCount method there. As getCount() is in a different class altogether, you just want to alter the maximum 25 there and then set the list view to that adapter. You may want to take a look here for more uses of ArrayAdapters.

But I try adding lv = (ListView)findViewById(R.id.mylist); instead of this.lv = getListView();. I could not solve this issue.
I am aware of ListView#addHeaderView but I want to solve my particular problem with using this kind of layout.
Just change your listview id to android:id="#android:id/list"
Use a RelativeLayout. Place the second button to the right of the first button using layout_toRightOf then place the listview beneath button one using layout_below. Something like this (I haven't tested it, apologies for any typos)

Create FrameLayout with [your ListView] and [LinearLayout with your buttons].
Do once something like this within onCreate()
LinearLayout myButtons = ...;
myButtons.bringToFront();
So, your ContentView will have a FrameLayout with two child, one of those is in foreground.
