I have a RESTful server which takes an http POST input from client to vote up songs on server. I have used Apache HTTPClient for client.

When I click vote button on succession, after few votes (like 7-8), I get java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out exception.
When I searched the reason, I found this is because client didn't get server response on timeout period. But the problem is that when I use other applications like Chrome REST Console or JMeter, I can vote a lots of votes on the same server with same parameters and path. Is there any problem with my java code. Please help me figure this out. Following is my stacktrace:

Here are few pointers/suggestions for investigation
I see that every time you vote, you call vote method which creates a fresh HTTP connection.
This might be a problem. I would suggest to use a single HttpClient instance to post to the server. This way it wont create too many connections from the client side.
At the end of everything, HttpClient needs to be shut and hence call httpclient.getConnectionManager().shutdown(); to release the resources used by the connections.
I don't think it's enough merely to get the response. I think you need to read it (get the entity and read it via EntityUtils.consume()).
e.g. (from the doc)

I had this kind of error also when i used the getResource() method for the inputStream (in that case was precisely a fileInputStream).
Is there a way to call the output in a different way?
getResource() provides a URL to the file within the jar (zip file). Java can't open this directly.
You either need to expand the zip file to directory and update in the directory.
Or read in and change the zip file. I, however, must ask why you might do this? Class path resources are typically supposed to be read-only

The exception you are getting is occurring when you try to Serialize (ObjectOutputStream.writeObject) your Main.player.
Main.player has an ImageIcon field, that does not have an image, so it cannot be serialized.

I am connecting a database with my application. SELECT queries works fine that means that the connection is estabilished. When ever I use statement.execute(parameter) method, I can get the information that is saved at server but when ever I try to insert new data and use statement.executeUpdate(parameter) method it throws me a list of errors. I'm guessing that one of your references to a text field is null, so that when you do

you're probably throwing an NPE by calling getText() on a null value that you think is a reference to a text field.
You'll probably find it helpful to step through the code in a debugger to find this.
Oh, and you really shouldn't concatenate raw user-supplied text input into your sql statement - bind parameters to a prepared statement instead. Do a search for "SQL Injection" or "Little Bobby Tables" to find out why...
