org.eclipse.jgit.errors.LockFailedException when using Hawtio - java

I am using HawtIo war in my code. When I run this code in local, it works fine, but on unix box I get the following exception:

Please tell me what am I missing?

Also most likely what's happening is your home directory is on an NFS (or other distributed filesystem) share that doesn't support distributed locks, which is common enough.
You may want to set hawtio.config.dir to point to a local filesystem location that your user account has read/write permissions for. You can set this either via a blueprint.properties file or building a custom hawtio-web.war with this parameter set as per our configuration guide.
The configuration guide for hawtio is at http://hawt.io/configuration/index.html

Try with below command:
rm -f ./.git/index.lock
below link might helpful.
Git - fatal: Unable to create '/path/my_project/.git/index.lock': File exists

Hawtio tries to copy a git repo for showing things in Dashboards and Wiki tabs. You are probably facing a permissions issue in /remote/projusers/aptdevjboss/.hawtio/config/.git/index.
Also, If you don't want to copy the git repo everytime you start hawtio, there is a offline version you can download: https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/public/io/hawt/hawtio-default-offline/1.2.1/hawtio-default-offline-1.2.1.war

Connect Java Mission Control to Wildfly 16

I try to connect Java Mission Control (JMC) with Wildfly 16. Application server lays on Docker.
I successfully connected to wildfly via jconsole, to manage it I followed steps described here.
Unfortunately, I have no luck to connect via JMC. The URL which I use looks like this:
service:jmx:remoting-jmx://192.168.99.100:9990
I tried to set Xbootclasspath to jboss-cli-client.jar as it was described here, but I just get Unable to connect error.
I set the same jars, which are used for jconsole, but still I got Unable to connect.
I gave a try to adding flags on container site, as it was shown here, but with these flags, even wildfly haven't started.
Then, I found here the idea to hardcode some jboss classes to enable connection via remoting-jmx. I changed version of jars, according to these provided by wildfly16 and put it to jmc.ini like this.
-Xbootclasspath/a:"C:/Program Files/Java/jdk-10.0.2/lib/missioncontrol/dropins/jboss-cli-client.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/remoting-jmx/main/remoting-jmx-3.0.1.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/remoting/main/jboss-remoting-5.0.8.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/logging/main/jboss-logging-3.3.2.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/xnio/main/xnio-api-3.6.5.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/xnio/nio/main/xnio-nio-3.6.5.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/marshalling/main/jboss-marshalling-2.0.6.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/marshalling/river/main/jboss-marshalling-river-2.0.6.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/as/cli/main/wildfly-cli-8.0.0.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/staxmapper/main/staxmapper-1.3.0.Final;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/as/protocol/main/wildfly-protocol-8.0.0.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/dmr/main/jboss-dmr-1.5.0.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/as/controller-client/main/wildfly-controller-client-8.0.0.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/threads/main/jboss-threads-2.3.3.Final.jar;C:/wildfly-16.0.0.Final/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/logmanager/main/jboss-logmanager-2.1.7.Final.jar"
After that, finally, I have another error, which is
Could not initialize class org.jboss.remotingjmx.RemotingConnector
I added dependencies of remoting-jmx-3.0.1.Final to Xbootclasspath, but I got still the same error.
My question is, have you got any idea, how to make this connection works ? Maybe someone have done it in different way ?
Any advices how can i debug this problem, will be priceless? Because I'm lack of ideas how to solve it.
In %WILDFLY_HOME%\bin\standalone.conf.bat
put:
set "JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -XX:+FlightRecorder"
In jmc.ini below -vmargs put
-Xbootclasspath/a:C:\%wildfly_home%\bin\client\jboss-cli-client.jar
(%wildfly_home% is different of course, or just copy jboss-cli-client.jar to another directory and correct the path)
3. Run JMC, then Create New Connection - in Connection Properties pane push the button "Custom JMX service URL", put:
service:jmx:http-remoting-jmx://localhost:9990
In the credentials fields just put user and password, they should be created for Realm Management (e.g. using %wildfly_home%\bin\add-user.bat)
Hope this helps someone.
Solution doesn't work on java 11 for me. Mission control fails on connect to wildfly with error:

Besides, jmc that was embedded to jdk 8 isn't able to start flight recording for java 11 process.
So after investigation i found out that this class is loaded with bootstrap classloader. According to https://openjdk.java.net/jeps/261
jdk.security.jgss module isn't defined to bootstrap classloader. But classes in jboss-cli-client.jar(it originates from wildfly-elytron project) need jgss classes in runtime.
So i found out dirty workaround for this problem: bootstrap needed classes from jre 8 in jmc.ini. Full option for linux is:
-vmargs -Xbootclasspath/a:<path_to_wildfly>/jboss-cli-client.jar:<path_to_jdk8>/jre/lib/rt.jar
And for windows:
-vmargs -Xbootclasspath/a:<path_to_wildfly>\jboss-cli-client.jar;<path_to_jdk8>\jre\lib\rt.jar
after this jmc(run on 11 jdk) succesfully connects to wildfly(run on 11 jdk) and can start and analyze flight recordings.

Connect Eclipse to Websphere Liberty in another computer

I had installed Websphere Liberty Runtime in a Windows 7 machine following the instructions here :
https://developer.ibm.com/wasdev/downloads/liberty-profile-using-non-eclipse-environments/
I had installed and configured the admin-center feature following these instructions :
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSD28V_8.5.5/com.ibm.websphere.wlp.core.doc/ae/twlp_ui_setup.html
I set two users : admin and nonadmin
I am able to connect to this server from Eclipse in another computer.
However, each time i try to deploy an application on this server, i get this error in the computer with Eclipse :
Publish HelloWorldApplication
OK
Failed to transfer application HelloWorldApplication
CWWKX0121E: Access denied to path C:/wlp/usr/servers/servername/apps/HelloWorldApplication.war.
Failed to synchronize server configuration.
CWWKX0121E: Access denied to path C:/wlp/usr/servers/servername/server.xml.
Deployment of application HelloWorldApplication failed.
And, in the server i got this :
[ERROR ] CWWKX7901E: The C:/wlp/usr/servers/servername/apps/HelloWorldApplication.war file system path is not valid.
Can anyone help me, please ?
We are more than one developer needing to work on this server.
Thanks in advance.

How do you have your server.xml configured? Given the error you mention, I think it's missing the configuration for writing into the remote directories, which looks something like this:
<remoteFileAccess>
<writeDir>${writePath}</writeDir>
</remoteFileAccess>
You can define several write directories and each one can refer to variables or absolute paths, for example:
<remoteFileAccess>
<writeDir>${wlp.user.dir}</writeDir>
</remoteFileAccess>
You can obtain the basic configuration for remote administration by executing this command on you Liberty profile bin directory:
configUtility install remoteAdministration
For reference see:

NOTE: I've tried this solution (Change the URI (URL) for a remote Git repository) and didn't work. Any idea what might be happening?
EDIT: I'm using Windows, but the VM used on Vagrant is Linux.
Try adding the protocol to the beginning of the remote url:
ssh://git#git.address.com/mari/project.git
Also don't use a : to seperate path and uri, but use a / instead.
Of course, you can use another protocol as ssh.
try git remote url like this
http://<username>#git.address.com/<path>.git

Any help would be much appreciated.
I had something like this happened, it turned out it was the fingerprint (if your git is using RSA verification) that wasn't automatically accepted the first time we queried the repo>.
I solved it by doing a manual query on the repo as the hudson user:
git ls-remote -h git#yourepo.git HEAD
i am able to solve this problem by adding windows Environment Variable.
Name: HOME
Value: $USERPROFILE

UPDATE: I have tried every possibility now. The problem persists.
I tried with JDK 6 (both 32 and 64 bit). The problem does NOT go.
I am working on RHEL 5.6. Can anybody please help?
I noticed this line:
Caused by: org.tmatesoft.svn.core.SVNException: svn: OPTIONS request failed on '/svn/repos/myrepo'
svn: unknown host
Whenever I have a problem with Jenkins, I log into the Jenkins system as the user running Jenkins, go to the working directory inside Jenkins, and from a command line, try to do whatever Jenkins is attempting to do (like update my working directory). That usually will help you point out a particular error.
Try running an update a few times from the Jenkin's job's working directory and see if you get the same error. If you do, it could point out a network issue (unknown host).
If you can run updates from the working directory on your Jenkins server in your job's working directory, then the problem may lie with SVNKit itself. What version of Subversion and SVNKit are you using?
Try deleting the working directory and see if a clean checkout helps.
I noticed this error after upgrading my "Jenkins Subversion Plugin" from v1.42 to v1.44.
To Fix:
Please check the version of "Jenkins Subversion plugin" if it v1.44, downgrade to lower version.
Seems like we have some issues with the new Subversion Plugin.
The node running the build can not resolve the host name. Possibly a fully qualified name is required: rather than mysvnbox something like mysvnbox.mydomain.com; Or possibly the node is blocked by a firewall. The fact that it works sometimes would seem to indicate at least one node has visibility or can use an abbreviated domain specification. Good luck.
I have faced the same issue in Jenkins. It was kept on failing during checking out the code. I tried to increase Jenkins work space but it was prompted for the crowd authentication. It was failed to update and I tried clear the authentication date from subversion and restarted my build server (You can log out with your credentials and log-in). This will work.
