I'm using Eclipse Juno which comes with an axis include in version 1.4. This is installed in the folder:
C:\Program Files\eclipse-jee-juno-SR1-win32-x86_64\eclipse\plugins\org.apache.axis_1.4.0.v201005080400
Can anyone tell me how I can update this? Where can I find the update for this? I already downloaded everything from
http://axis.apache.org/axis2/java/core/download.cgi
but this looks completely different.
I need to get from 1.4 to 1.6.2 because I’m using the functionality from axis to generate Web Service Client wish has a bug in 1.4 and I have the same problem.
The Axis2 Eclipse plugin documentation explains how to install the most up to date versions of the plugins. It is not clear whether they have been tested with Juno.

We have a huge GWT project (GWT 2.7, JDK 1.7, Eclipse) everything works perfect. We are planning to upgrade to Java 11 and GWT 2.9 which has been recently released. However Java 1.7 is retiring and getting obsolete we have to move on and upgrade. Since last week we are trying to create a development environment like the existing one but there is no success. I was wondering whether anyone out there is struggling with the same issue, any hint, solution or hacking the eclipse plugin would be greatly appreciated.
Eclipse plugin comes with GWT (2.7 and 2.8.1)
Yes, you can.
download gwt-2.9.0.zip from gwtproject.org
unzip it
start Eclipse
open the preference panel
choose GWT -> GWT Settings
add gwt 2.9.0 by pressing the add button on the right
I'm not able to find the grails perspective in my latest release download of spring tool suite 3.8.2
I've created GRAILS_HOME varialble as C:\grails-2.4.4
path variable as %GRAILS_HOME%\bin
and similarly JAVA_HOME and its path variable.
Still not able to find the Grails perspective in STS.
The Grails support is no longer available for the Spring Tool Suite, at least not the Grails support that we worked on in the past. There was an announcement from Pivotal about the general topic a while ago: https://blog.pivotal.io/pivotal/news/groovy-2-4-and-grails-3-0-to-be-last-major-releases-under-pivotal-sponsorship. This also included to not working on the tooling for Eclipse anymore.
If you want to, you can download the final version of the Groovy-Grails-Tool-Suite from here: https://spring.io/tools/ggts/all. It is version 3.6.4, based on Eclipse 4.4.2.
The marketplace entry that is mentioned in another comment refers to this version of the Groovy-Grails support - and should not be installed on Eclipse versions higher than 4.4.2.
We also do not officially support and work on the Groovy support for Eclipse anymore, but there is still a version available that works with the latest versions of Eclipse.
If you are (or someone else is) interested in taking over those tooling projects, feel free to reach out to us. We would be more than happy to provide some support in taking over those projects.
Looks like this has been dropped some time ago:

I am trying to develop composite applications for IBM Lotus Notes using Lotus Expeditor Toolkit. I am using Eclipse Keplar SR2 and trying to install Lotus Expeditor 6.2.3 (and even 6.2.2 & 6.2.1). I have downloaded the update site for Expeditor Toolkit:
http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/download/nochargesearch.jsp?q=Lotus+Expeditor+Toolkit+6.2
Eclipse is able to see the site.xml file and attempts to install Expeditor but I get an error message that org.eclipse.equinox.common [3.4.0,3.5.0] is not found.
I downloaded Equinox for KeplarSR2:
http://download.eclipse.org/equinox/drops/R-KeplerSR2-201402211700/index.php
I am able to download a zip file with folders for binary, features and plugins, but no site.xml doc, so Eclipse cannot install this way. There is an artifacts.xml file, though, and a content.xml file.
How then can I install Equinox into Eclipse? (With the goal of installing Lotus Expeditor)
And perhaps, do I even need Lotus Expeditor? Are there other Java UI classes that will allow me to add menu items, for example, that I can hide or grey-out if the user mail file is not in focus?
Thanks.
Expediter 6.2.3 is dated Oct 11, 2011 so is probably built to work with a much older Eclipse base than Kepler SR2. Given the error version range is [3.4.0,3.5.0) I would guess it's mean to work with Eclipse 3.4.2 (aka Ganymede) or possibly 3.5.2 (aka Helios).
If you're working with a newer Notes version then I expect Expediter is not the way any longer, but I don't know what to suggest. I'll post again if I can find out.
The [3.4.0,3.5.0] part of the message is telling you that Expeditor wants a version of the org.eclipse.equinox.common plugin that is between versions 3.4.0 and 3.5.0.
Eclipse Kepler (and Luna) have version 3.6.200 of this plugin so the Expeditor install is not compatible. Probably not surprising since the Expeditor download dates from 2011.
You will have to use an older version of Eclipse if you want to use this code.
p2, by the way, is Eclipse install manager.
Thanks to those that responded. I have confirmed that Lotus Expeditor works only with Eclipse Ganymede JavaEE IDE.
I downloaded the GWT4NB(Google Web Toolkit for Netbeans) plugin and tried intstalling it, but what happened was that I got this error message stating:
Some plugins require plugin Java Hints to be installed.
The plugin Java Hints is requested in implementation version 11.
And then I have to cancel the installation since it's looking for dependencies or something I susspect. The version of the GWT4NB is 2.10.6 and of course my Netbeans is version 7.1.
I understand that it might work with an older version of netbeans but my current version is set up perfectly and for me to go and re-install all my other plugins and configurations would be way to cumbersome to do. GWT4NB is supposed to work with Netbeans 7.1, or so they claim.
Thanks in advance for any help!
PS - Here's the link to that plugin: http://java.net/jira/secure/attachment/48362/org-netbeans-modules-gwt4nb-2.10.6.nbm
I too faced the same problem. So i had to download Java Hints Plugin but when i started installing that, i came to know that it also has four other dependencies.
As a resolution, i downloaded
org-netbeans-modules-gwt4nb-2.10.4.nbm
This got installed in NetBeans 7.0 and 7.1 well and i had my project working well. Hope this helps you also.
Here is the download link for my Version of GWT4NB:

Version 2.10.4 is available at the bottom of the page.
I am getting this bad version error as shown below. How to fix this. Do I need to have a separate jar file for each version of java?
(source: sourceforge.net)
How to fix this.
Is this a plugin that you created, or did you download it from somewhere?
I've never seen this myself, but I suspect that you are running Eclipse using an older version of Java (e.g. 1.5) and trying to use a plugin that was compiled for Java 1.6. Assuming that is the case you can:
upgrade the JDK used to run Eclipse to 1.6,
try to find a version of the plugin that was compiled for the Java 1.5 platform, or
download the plugin sources and build it for Java 1.5 yourself.
Do I need to have a separate jar file for each version of java?
No. A JAR file built for a Java 1.5 target platform should also work on a Java 1.6 platform. (Just not the other way around ...)
I got similar kind of error once and I was not able to fix it. And I ended up removing the plugin (EMF Plugin) and installing it on a new setup of Eclipse.
Now, I use Yoxos On-demand where you can create/add/remove Eclipse plugins with no effort. This is the best Eclipse customizer I have seen.
You are running on an older version of Java than the code was compiled for.
