I have a very simple question, or at least I think it is simple. Currently I'm trying to use the robot class with variables. What I mean by this is the following (the variables "pass" are chars.)

Robot#keyPress expects an int, which represents the virtual key code as described in java.awt.KeyEvent
Specifically, key 0 represents KeyEvent.VK_UNDEFINED which is an "invalid key code"
Don't forget that until you call keyRelease, the keys will continue to be pressed, generating repeated key pressed events...

First time posting but here it goes. I am attempting to to make a program that reads all files in a drive and hash those files in order to spot potential differences in a "corrupt drive". The program functions fine for all purposes except when encountering files with special permission needs. I have spent days trying to resolve this and have read many stack posts but none that i have found have covered my specific issue. I have tried granting permission through set read and write but does nothing.
I think i found a promising library through java.security.allpermissions but finding examples of how to set it up simply / clearly for a method call has been unfruitful.

I had this kind of error also when i used the getResource() method for the inputStream (in that case was precisely a fileInputStream).
Is there a way to call the output in a different way?
getResource() provides a URL to the file within the jar (zip file). Java can't open this directly.
You either need to expand the zip file to directory and update in the directory.
Or read in and change the zip file. I, however, must ask why you might do this? Class path resources are typically supposed to be read-only
I have this error when i try to do

Or any int > 0 in tmp[]. However donne contains 5 parts separated by :__:. Also if I do System.out.println(tmp[1]); it will print the right thing and then throw the exception. Here is the code:

I am connecting a database with my application. SELECT queries works fine that means that the connection is estabilished. When ever I use statement.execute(parameter) method, I can get the information that is saved at server but when ever I try to insert new data and use statement.executeUpdate(parameter) method it throws me a list of errors. To be very particular, I can see that my issue is somewhere here or may be not. But I can't figure out why it is giving NullPointerException.

Below is a snippet from my Database class that is to execute the query.

First I tried to use executeUpdate(query); to do the job but same error showed up. Then I switched over to PreparedStatment but nothing happened and the same error remains.

I'm guessing that one of your references to a text field is null, so that when you do

you're probably throwing an NPE by calling getText() on a null value that you think is a reference to a text field.
You'll probably find it helpful to step through the code in a debugger to find this.
Oh, and you really shouldn't concatenate raw user-supplied text input into your sql statement - bind parameters to a prepared statement instead. Do a search for "SQL Injection" or "Little Bobby Tables" to find out why...

I am using JPanel in the front end, and I want to add scrollbar in Jpanel.
From the exception what i understand is you are converting String to Integer using parseInt so the string must contains only numeric but you are passing "sdfsf" so it is throwing NumberFormatException
It's because the string you are attempting to pass sdfsf it's not having the appropriate number format. Look at the javadoc of the exception
