I found several similar problems, but nowhere I found true and working solution for this problem, so I ask the world if somebody solved it this JavaFX problem?
I tried to make .exe from my JavaFX project (.jar file) with several converter softwares, but I get this error message from all (below) What could cause this, if the .jar file is working if I open it?
(My file hierarchy is something like this:)
-/lib/derby.jar (set as Native)
-/lib/derbyclient.jar (set as Native)
-/lib/derbynet.jar (set as Native)
-/lib/itextpdf-5.5.5.jar (set as Native)
-/lib/jfxtras-labs-samples-8.0-r4-SNAPSHOT-shadow.jar (set as Native)
-Utiokos.jar(with the main class) (set as Main)
The error message I get from the start of the .exe after converting:

The solution was to not just add the /lib/xy.jar as a Native, but also as a classpath!
That way everything is working properly in the .exe! ;)

I used spreadsheet view of controlsfx 8.0.6U25 with earlier jdk for my work and it worked good. Recently I updated to JDK 8U40 and controlsfx 8.20.8. Sadly, the spreadsheet view won't load. I get error in my IDE anytime I run the same project. Please, has anyone faced the same problem? What is the solution? Thank you.
Please find the error I get below. I made no changes before the update.

Well, the solution rather looks simple. Since controlsfx project has not yet been updated to meet JDK 8u40 and above as at now, I just reinstalled the previous jdk (JDK 8u25) and I am okay now.
According to Rita Homepage you just have to download Rita.jar and
WordNet-3.1 and add both to thebuild path of your java project.
I did it like that and everytime i try to use it:
RiWordNet wordNet = new RiWordNet(Test.class.getResource("/WordNet-3.1").getPath());
I get:

The data files are no longer supplied as part of the installation. You need to download the WordNet version for your platform and then pass it to the constructor, as documented here.

If I run this applet from eclipse, it runs fine. I suspect there may be issue with jre version or accessing rt.jar in jre runtime. This is not code related issue for sure as everything was working until my system got restarted (it reboots per company policy on weekend). Therefore, any setting may have been changed.
Browser used: Chrome
latest version of jre on machine: jre7
code compiled using: jre6
Kindly respond as I have been facing this issue for long time now.
UPDATE:
Just to add, I get this error when I try to read xml file to Java class using annotaions in thoughtworks xstream lib
sun.misc is a vendor specific class which should not be used in portable Java code.
Either make the code portable or switch the browser plugin to the Oracle JVM.
Looks my jre installation got corrupt. I reinstalled it and it fixed the issue.
My application was running fine until I upgraded my jre to 7u40. When my application is initializing, it's doing Logger.getLogger("ClassName"), and I'm getting the following exception.

The exception is coming from this line:
private static Logger logger = Logger.getLogger(Applet.class.getName());
Could it be because of any sideeffects with fix http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=8017174 ?
A workaround is to open the java control center and enable logging. This is a concern since by default "Enable Logging" is unchecked. If I select "Enable Logging", the application starts fine.
This problem seems to be fixed in java7 update 45.
Try to package java.util.logging.* with your app in a JAR, and make sure it's on the classpath. That way it is always available. Also, what does your logging.properties look like?
So Im trying to use webstart on this application of mine and I keep getting this error:

This is my First time using webstart. I tested it out with simple applications and it worked just fine. I think it might have something to do with the fact that the application tries to read a local file when its launched.
Cannot post more than 2 links but you can check it out here:
fenixflame.net/DropLogger/launch.html
Yes problem was the space on the .jar file. I changed it and it worked just fine.
Its not possible to change the .jar file name inside netBeans, you can only change the project name but that doesnt change the file name. The only way to do change the .jar name is going to the project .xml file or creating a new project with the name you want for your jar file and copying all ur packages there.
