I'm trying to set up a basic deployment pipeline using Maven, Glassfish, and the Maven-Glassfish-plugin. I want to make a remote deployment of a .war on a remote glassfish server that I own.
I'm following this tutorial : https://programmaticponderings.wordpress.com/2013/11/04/continuous-integration-and-deployment-using-git-maven-jenkins-and-glassfish/
I'm stuck at a step when I have to run a a Maven's goal with the following Goals :
properties:read-project-properties clean install glassfish:redeploy -e
with the following properties :
glassfish.properties.file.argument=testing
The pom.xml looks like this :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">

It use a .properties file with the following parameters (To my remote Glassfish domain)
# GlassFish 4 testing domain properties
glassfish.domain=testing
glassfish.host=XX.XX.XX.XX
glassfish.adminport=6060
glassfish.user=admin
glassfish.pwdfile=pwdfile_testing
As far as my understanding :
It properly connect to my remote Glassfishserver (If I change the password on the properties file, it warn me that the user/password is incorrect)
I have properly configured my remote Glassfishserver with a domain called "testing", and enable-secure-admin is actived, I can access my server with the Glassfish admin GUI.
If I deploy the .war on the Glassfish admin GUI, it's working.
It hangs for a few minute and give me an error, here's the error log (Lots of line as I have actived debug, the error is at the end of the file) :
http://pastebin.com/Fv6LvWkk
This is driving me crazy, I've spend countless hours trying to figure that out, no luck so far.
Thanks a lot !
Not really a fix, but I used the Cargo plugin instead of the Maven-To-Glassfish plugin, it's working fine now.

I am trying to do maven build with clean install.. everything goes fine but at the end while copying web app resources to create a war.. build gets terminated without errors. any suggestions please.

From the documentation, the unpack goal of the maven-dependency-plugin plugin binds by default to the process-sources phase.
So could you change (or just remove) the <phase>process-resources</phase> from the plugin configuration
I'm trying to debug my application that's running on a remote JVM, but I can't manage to get my dependencies there too.
Here are a few things I tried:
Remote debugger:
I've set up a remote debugger, and it corrects correctly to the JVM but when I then use my application I get a bunch of NoClassDefFoundError errors coming from external libraries that are in my maven dependencies (which makes sense because I building the app with the Intellij building tools and not Maven itself. I have some relocation rules set up so maybe that's the issue?
The JVM itself is running on my local machine.
Maven debugger
There is a maven debugger integrated inside Intellij but it seems like that is just using the remote JVM during the jar packaging but nothing else. Maybe I'm going something wrong there?
I also have a few yaml files in my resources folder that should be correctly included in the debugger.
Here is my project structure:

Here is the actual error:
I am using Intellij Idea to build a java maven project from a MAC OS machine. When I am trying to run 'compile' an error is issued:
Error:(120,41) java: cannot find symbol
A line with this error (it works correctly):
for (Field field : FieldUtilsExt.getFieldsWithAnnotation(PageFactory.getInstance().getCurrentPage().getClass(), ElementTitle.class))
In Google, I found only information that such an error began to appear with JDK7. Everything works great with JDK6. But I still do not understand how to solve this.

I saw a question similar to mine, but it didn’t help me
How I solved the problem:
Added a dependency in pom for the library from which the FieldUtilsExt.getFieldsWithAnnotation (...) method was used
I am using ANTLR4 to parse command lines for my Java Shell project.
When I run a JUnit test in VSCode, everything is fine. However, when I am building the Docker image and I try to run the shell in interactive mode, I get this error:
Error: Unable to initialize main class uk.ac.ucl.jsh.Jsh
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/antlr/v4/runtime/CharStream
Is there any issue with my pom.xml file, or is the problem coming from somewhere else? This is my pom.xml file:

This doesn't really look like an ANTLR problem. You'll need to look into how you're doing your build and how you're putting your Docker image together.
There are a couple of solutions to this.
Look into how to have Maven produce an Uber jar (i.e. a jar file that bundles up all of it's dependencies)
Ensure that your Docker image has the ANTLR runtime included and in your class path.
The first of those is probably the more "normal" solutions these days.
I'm using Eclipse to compile java code with aspectj.
My code (with the aspect) works fine, but I'm struglling to create a jar file of this my code.
For example, if I select Export > Runnable JAR file, in the combo box I don't see my project (all the other project that not based on aspecj are showing up in the combo box).
If you like to have repeatable builds which work from command line as well as from IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA, I recommend a Maven build. The onejar-maven-plugin creates a runnable JAR including AspectJ runtime and all other declared dependencies for you:

Try to create a normal run configuration with the same start class as your AspectJ run configuration. When you create your runnable JAR, select the normal run configuration. The resulting JAR will have AspectJ support.
You can find here the answer :
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/204968/
The runnable jar exporter only works with Java Application type launch configs, but that shouldn't be a problem. Create a normal Java Application launch config with your main class and export the runnable jar based on that newly created launch config. It should work.
