I can run my applet but I am not able to create a PDF file from the input text area after a button click. I am using iTextPDF.


I could able to sort out my problem by adding following codes to my
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_45\lib\security\java.policy

Missing libraries out of netbeans in Platform Module application (netbeans 7.3.1)

I run the application inside Netbeans and it runs OK, bu I am getting a java.lang.NullPointerException when I run the application out of Netbeans. I create the .nbm to public them in the update server. When user apply the updates and run the application, they get the error. the log file is showed above.

Did you configure your JNDI Datasource for the report designer?
From the Pentaho infocenter:
Edit the .pentaho/simple-jndi/default.properties file. The .pentaho
directory is in the home or user directory of the user account that
runs Report Designer. If you have multiple copies of Report Designer
installed to multiple user accounts, each default.properties file will
have to be edited.

I believe this is a problem with breaking out of the sandbox, and communicating with the computer.
Can using AccessController.doPrivileged solve the problem? What are my options other than modifying the policy file?

It turns out, the problem I had, was that my referenced Jar files (outside the main Jar) was not signed, and after signing them the problem went away.

Error when backing up MYSQL database

I'm sorry for the stupid question, but when i run this code i always get a error. This code is meant to get a backup from my mysql database and display it. For your information, remote mysql is enabled.

Have you tried giving the full path to the mysqldump executable?
