I am using Spring Tool Suite version 3.7.0.RELEASE and I'm trying out an import of a WSDL offered by Amazon. The import succeeds, but Eclipse gives an error message on the tag.
I am using the following pom.xml:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">

When hovering over this tag, I get the following error message:
Execution default of goal org.jvnet.jaxb2.maven2:maven-jaxb2-plugin:0.12.3:generate failed: A required class was missing while executing org.jvnet.jaxb2.maven2:maven-jaxb2-plugin:0.12.3:generate: com/sun/xml/bind/v2/model/core/TypeInfoSet
I was able to fix this by putting my <plugins> inside of a <pluginManagement> tag. Somehow this makes it different for maven and it actually picks up the correct information.
Putting it in <pluginManagement> means it won't get executed. Plugin version 0.13.2 fixes this issue.

I am trying to set up application using java,scala and spring boot. I have set up pom.xml. The code is running fine in intellij and I am able to run application successfully. But when i use mvn clean install , my project is not compiling.Its giving error as cannot find symbol for the scala class.
I have followed (this blog)
I am attaching below dependency and plugin section of pom.xml
I have tried various solutions and tried to move the order of the execution of spring boot build plugin, but un-successful

I figured it out . The compile goal for the source should be associated with phase -> process-resources and testCompile goal should be associated with phase -> process-test-resources. Below is the snippet

I have a spring-boot maven project, which cannot have spring-boot-starter-parent as a parent due to organizational restrictions. I came across the following answer which helped me with compiling, testing and packaging an executable jar.
However when I try to execute spring-boot:run i receive the following error:
No plugin found for prefix 'spring-boot' in the current project and in the plugin groups [org.apache.maven.plugins, org.codehaus.mojo] available from the repositories
The following comment in the answer seems to point to away to fix this:
The code snippet above is sufficient to get the dependency management features. If you want plugins (like spring-boot:run) you need to confute those separately. You can copy paste from the Boot parent if you want
However after adding the proposed section to my pom file I still get the same error. My pom files can be found below:

Thanks!
I have a project which uses Maven with 3 modules: a parent one, core, and addon. Core has the same artifacts as parent, but addon has an additional one. When I run tests for addon only everything works okay. The problem occurs when I test both modules at once. The tests act as if the addon module didn't have that additional artifact which, causes tests fails. Again, this only occurs when I test both modules at once. Below you can find my configuration.

Specifically, the kotlin-reflect acts is it wasn't there when running test across whole project.
So i have maven project with 2 modules.
Root pom.xml looks like this:
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
<groupId>kashier</groupId>
<artifactId>Kashier</artifactId>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
<packaging>pom</packaging>
<modules>
<module>AnnotationProcessing</module>
<module>TestProject</module>
</modules>
And the pom.xml for AnnotationProcessing module :
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
<parent>
<groupId>kashier</groupId>
<artifactId>Kashier</artifactId>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
</parent>
<artifactId>AnnotationProcessing</artifactId>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
<packaging>jar</packaging>
<properties>
<kotlin.version>1.0.3</kotlin.version>
</properties>
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.jetbrains.kotlin</groupId>
<artifactId>kotlin-stdlib</artifactId>
<version>${kotlin.version}</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.jetbrains.kotlin</groupId>
<artifactId>kotlin-test</artifactId>
<version>${kotlin.version}</version>
<scope>test</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.google.auto.service</groupId>
<artifactId>auto-service</artifactId>
<version>1.0-rc2</version>
<optional>true</optional>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.jetbrains.kotlin</groupId>
<artifactId>kotlin-maven-plugin</artifactId>
<version>${kotlin.version}</version>
<executions>
<execution>
<id>compile</id>
<phase>compile</phase>
<goals>

</goals>
</execution>
<execution>

<phase>test-compile</phase>
<goals>
<goal>test-compile</goal>
</goals>
</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
Now everything works fine only if i manually create javax.annotation.processing.Processor file in resources directory.
That means that auto-service is not working and the question is: how do i make it work?
Also i tried to make the same project with java and it works. So i think that the problem is in kotlin-maven-plugin.
Source code of the project can be found here
auto-service is using annotation processor too so you have to add into your kotlin-maven-plugin (before compile section) this:
<execution>
<id>kapt</id>
<goals>
<goal>kapt</goal>
</goals>
<configuration>
<sourceDirs>
<sourceDir>src/main/kotlin</sourceDir>
<sourceDir>src/main/java</sourceDir>
</sourceDirs>
<annotationProcessorPaths>
<!-- Specify your annotation processors here. -->
<annotationProcessorPath>
<groupId>com.google.auto.service</groupId>
<artifactId>auto-service</artifactId>
<version>1.0-rc4</version>
</annotationProcessorPath>
</annotationProcessorPaths>
</configuration>
</execution>
I have the following project:
root
|---pom.xml
src/main/java
|---com.package
|----App.java
src/main/aspects
|---com.package
|----Trace.aj
Now, the pom.xml is
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/maven-v4_0_0.xsd">

</configuration>

</execution>
</executions>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
</project>
After executing mvn aspectj:compile I got only the App.class compiled class, but didn't Trace.class. What's wrong with that?
By default the aspectj-maven-plugin expects the aspects in the directory src/main/aspect. If you want to store them in a different directory, you have to specify the configuration:
<configuration>
<aspectDirectory>src/main/aspects</aspectDirectory>
</configuration>
