Why doesn't button add to scene? - java

Hey guys, so this is first time I am creating something in JavaFX and I was wondering why doesn't my button in Scene add in Layout.GetChildren() line, it keeps on displaying red line underneath add. I am using Eclipse IDE.

you have imported import java.awt.Button, you must import Button class in the javafx package.

JavaFX Stage not visible

I'm trying to write the simplest code to start learning how JavaFX works. Here is my code:

It should just show an empty window. My compilator gives no errors, but nothing shows up, even if I can see my program running in my dock. How is this possible? I'm sure I'm missing some stupid simple thing, but I cannot figure out what it is.

Is is possible to separate javafx ui files?

I'm creating an app with javafx and I want to separate ui files.
Like: Tabs in separate file and just import and create new Tab in main app.
I have tried it, but when I try to set it on main app like borderPane.setCenter(tabPane); it says that The method setCenter(Node) in the type BorderPane is not applicable for the arguments (Tabs)

buttons not responding javaFx

The buttons dont give a console output. Two buttons are in a Vbox at the bottom of a BorderPane and should print "new" or "continue" when pressed.
I followed a tutorial and tried to extend it to one more button.

Remove class from buttons.
This way the code will use buttons from fields, instead of creating new ones.

JavaFX, switching panes in a root window and retaining memory

As stated in the title, I have fxml files, I have a UI that is set up with three labels/buttons up top and the lower half of the window has a pane. Every time a label/button is clicked, the pane must switch to that corresponding fxml file. So in other words, the pane must always be in the same position, kind of like a tabbed layout but without tabs.
I know I can achieve this with just loading a new instance of an fxml file but, I want to avoid that because when a user click on a tab he previously was on, he should be able to see his earlier input.
I have some main.java that starts the program. Some controller.java that controls the UI when it is first loaded, and some fxml file corresponding to that initial view. How can I go about implementing this transition functionality? P.S. I am very novice at JavaFX.

How to change float of this button?

HiEveryone,
I'm new Javafx and trying to change the float of this button as to Right side from the current Left side.. How to do that?
I'm using simply Pane as a container at the moment.
