Add a new server on the Servers tab (Tomcat for example) or choose an existing one, deploy your web application and start the server

FileNotFoundException while importing a spring xml file

I have the following line in one of my xml file to include the spring.xml file located at src/main/resources/config of my maven project.
<import resource="classpath:config/spring.xml"/>
I have the location src/main/resources in my build path. Despite this while running it. It is giving the below exception
Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: class path resource [spring.xml] cannot be opened because it does not exist
at org.springframework.core.io.ClassPathResource.getInputStream(ClassPathResource.java:158)

Below is the build path source tab

EDIT :
For some reason my target folder does not have classes folder as well
EDIT : After clean install I get the below folders in the target folder:

The classes folder is present in the location where the imported project is but somehow not visible in the eclipse project structure
Try to put / before config. Like this:
classpath:/config/spring.xml
EDIT: Put the Excluded of resources path to (None) and Included: (All)

Why does the m2e plugin build to a WEB-INF/classes in the target folder for a maven jar project?

Since I am packaging a jar (i.e. Maven jar project), I don't know why m2e insists on setting the Eclipse project's source folder's output to write to target/WEB-INF/classes. I tried changing it to point to build/classes, but as soon as I do a Maven -> Update Project it changes it back.
Why? Am I missing a project level setting?

The reason this was happening was because I had this "outputDirectory" tag in the <build> section of the parent pom.
<!-- for hot reload of the web application -->
<outputDirectory>${project.build.directory}/${project.build.finalName}/WEB-INF/classes
</outputDirectory>
As soon as I removed that, the Maven Update removed "WEB-INF" from the .classpath output directories.

In the project explorer it is shown that project is running on java 1.5
So i changed it to java 1.8 from java build path of project
i removed the java 1.5 and pointed it to java 1.8
then the changes were visible.
but when i update the pom.xml it again show java 1.5.
Also in the project facets it is java 1.8
Please help me in making it java 1.8
Sparsh , In the plugins options of maven you should add the compiler level
org.apache.maven.plugins
maven-compiler-plugin
2.3.2
<configuration>
<source>${jdk.version}</source>
<target>${jdk.version}</target>
</configuration>
</plugin>
<plugins>
And in your properties stanza , you should have
<properties>
<jdk.version>1.8</jdk.version>
</properties>

maven dependency not support when code is pushed to remote server

Errors at compiling mean that some dependencies are missing. However, they are not when compiling in local. I recommend you execute
mvn dependency:build-classpath -Dmdep.outputFile=cp.txt
on both environments, which will produce a file cp.txt containing the list of libraries used for the compilation classpath. Then, for every library included on it, compare the local version with the remote version. If they are not binary equal, purge the libraries from the remote repository:
mvn dependency:purge-local-repository

multiple containers error in Arquillian

I am installing Arquillian in a project which utilizes weld CDI and JPA and I am trying to use embedded GlassFish container (I read that Weld embedded container is not supporting JPA).
I have added GlassFishContainer in my pom.xml but I am getting an error message when I running the test cases. Here id the Error message:
Multiple service implementations found for interface
org.jboss.arquillian.container.spi.client.container.DeployableContainer.
org.jboss.arquillian.container.glassfish.embedded_3_1.GlassFishContainer,
org.jboss.arquillian.container.weld.ee.embedded_1_1.WeldEEMockContainer
It seems that I have both Weld embedded container and glassFilsh. I double checked my pom.xml , I have just embedded glassfish. I couldn't find any sign of Weld embedded container. Any idea?!
I encountered this error as well while setting up Arquillian with an embedded Tomcat-8 in IntelliJ with Maven.
Here is my working (for an example project) POM:

I´m using Intellij and configured a "Tomcat Embedded 8.x: AruillianTest". After starting the test I got the exception:
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not add a default container to registry because multiple instances of org.jboss.arquillian.container.spi.client.container.DeployableContainer found on classpath (candidates are: org.jboss.arquillian.container.tomcat.embedded.TomcatEmbeddedConfiguration, org.jboss.arquillian.container.tomcat.embedded_8.TomcatConfiguration)
The problem was caused by the auto-configuration made by Intellij. intellij_arquillian_configuration shows the path you have to take to address the error.
1 - click on "Edit configuration" -> it will open 2
2 - choose the embedded Tomcat you want to use (Tomcat 8 in my case) and click on 3 which will open 4
4 - the dependencies (5) are clickable. Double-clicking will open 6.
6 - choose your version to be exactly the same as in your pom. I'm using the 1.0.1.Final in my pom but my test-container was configured with 1.0.0.CR7 (made for this screenshot; normally its 'RELEASE'). Changing this to 1.0.1.FINAL resolved the error and the test could run.
Delete one of the container from maven local repository. The default location for maven local repository is $HOME/.m2/repository/.
Try deleting org/jboss/arquillian/container/glassfish.embedded_3_1 if you would like to run your tests with Weld Embedded Server else delete org/jboss/arquillian/container/weld.ee.embedded_1_1.
The reason being, both the Jars implement the same interface and arquillian cannot decide which one to use.
