and in my design the appbar has a padding on all the sides. can someone help me remove this padding and make the app look like a real app bar.

In your Relative Layout you have put Paddings. You need to remove them.

Check this. Now there will be no Padding on Toolbar. And if you want to give padding to other children then make one parent layout using LinearLayout with orientation of vertical and put both toolbar and relativelayout into it.

Just replaced scroll View with Nested scroll view ...
I needed to change Action Bar to Toolbar. The fact is that there is space between the state line and Toolbar space remains. Can you tell me what to do? I'll provide the code if it need.

I would like to follow the Google Play navigation design in my application.
I thought it should be pretty straight-forward, but unfortunately Android Studio doesn't offer such a built-in layout. I could not find a detailed example that implements that either. However I found dozens of third-party libraries about that, but the implementation varies too much and it looks like that there is no consensus.
I would like to get a NavigationDrawer whuch opens from the left, and based on what you click on the NavigationDrawer menu, I would also like to have tabbed fragment(Implemented with TabsLayout and ViewPager in the Fragment) on click of the first NavigationDrawer item (under the toolbar).

The only problem is that the ActionBar/Toolbar now is elevated. To fix this when I display the Fragment with the TabLayout (not all my Fragments have a TabLayout), I use:

Now the toolbar show up, I can do actions with it but there is nothing in my Framelayout? If I delete the include (toolbar) then I can see the content in my Framelayout. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
Given that you have set the height of your toolbar to wrap_content, I assume you want a vertical layout, but your top level LinearLayout is set to horizontal. Change the orientation to vertical.
