Cannot get user info by access token - java

I am trying to get information about user by access_token... I have tried a lot of variants for doing this. Although some variants work in the API console but they don't in application.
public class AuthActivity extends AccountAuthenticatorCompatActivity {
private static final String TAG = AuthActivity.class.getSimpleName();
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_auth);
Intent i = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(vcs.getAccessRequest()));
startActivity(i);
}
#Override
protected void onNewIntent(Intent intent) {
super.onNewIntent(intent);
Uri data = intent.getData();
if(null != data) {
final String accessToken = data.getQueryParameter("code");
AuthTask authTask = new AuthTask(accessToken);
authTask.execute();
}
}
private class AuthTask extends AsyncTask<Void, Void, String> {
private final String mAccessToken;
private final VCS vcs = new Bitbucket();
public AuthTask(final String accessToken) {
mAccessToken = accessToken;
}
#Override
protected String doInBackground(Void... params) {
try {
URL url = new URL("https://api.bitbucket.org/2.0/user");
HttpsURLConnection connection = (HttpsURLConnection)url.openConnection();
connection.addRequestProperty("Authorization", "Bearer " + mAccessToken);
connection.setRequestMethod("GET");
//connection.setRequestProperty("access_token", mAccessToken);
int responseCode = connection.getResponseCode();
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(
new InputStreamReader(connection.getInputStream()));
String inputLine;
StringBuilder response = new StringBuilder();
while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null) {
response.append(inputLine);
}
in.close();
return response.toString();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
return null;
}
#Override
protected void onPostExecute(String str) {
}
}
}
All requests are work where access token not need. But I cannot use access by token. I really try a lot of ways. Please, post code that will be work. What I do wrong? I don't understand.

How to return background result?

I did the code in android to retrieve records from website url. But I am stuck in receiving the result in string variable.
I want to display received values in receiveddata variable. Please help me on this..
I did this code:
Main2Activity.java
btnsync.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
#Override
public void onClick(View v) {
String receiveddata="";
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Syncing data...",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
SyncLoginData process = new SyncLoginData();
process.execute();
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Data synced successfully....",Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
}
});
SyncLoginData.java
public class SyncLoginData extends AsyncTask<Void, Void, Void> {
String data="";
String dataParsed = "";
DatabaseHelper mydb;
String singleParsed ="";
#Override
protected Void doInBackground(Void... voids) {
try
{
URL url = new URL("https://api.myjson.com/bins/1034t9");
HttpURLConnection httpURLConnection = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection();
InputStream inputStream = httpURLConnection.getInputStream();
BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inputStream));
String line = "";
while(line != null){
line = bufferedReader.readLine();
data = data + line;
}
} catch (MalformedURLException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
return null;
}
#Override
protected void onPostExecute(Void aVoid) {
super.onPostExecute(aVoid);
Main2Activity.data.setText(this.data);
}
}
Try this instead.
public class SyncLoginData extends AsyncTask<Void, Void, String> {
#Override
protected Void doInBackground(Void... voids) {
String data;
try {
URL url = new URL("https://api.myjson.com/bins/1034t9");

BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inputStream));
String line = "";
while (line != null) {
line = bufferedReader.readLine();
data = data + line;
}
} catch (MalformedURLException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
return data;
}
#Override
protected void onPostExecute(String data) {
Main2Activity.data.setText(data);

Can we use two Interface for two different asynctask

AsyncResponse.java:
public interface AsyncResponse {
void ProcessFinish(String Output);
}
AsyncResponseSecond.java:
public interface AsyncResponseSecond {
void ProcessFinishSecond(String Output);
}
This is for Asynctask OnPostExecute to get the result and save it in TextView.
I want to Know if the method which I am Using is correct or not . I am not getting the response
Asyncresponse is for one button and AsyncresponseSecond is for other Button

If you are seeing background white instead image. Out of memory exception by using bitmap.
You could use
Option 1
URL newurl = new URL(photo_url_str);
mIcon_val = BitmapFactory.decodeStream(newurl.openConnection() .getInputStream());
profile_photo.setImageBitmap(mIcon_val);
Picasso
Picasso.with(context).load("http://www.myegotest.com/PhotoUpload/uploads/5.png").into(profilePicture);
I would suggest to go with Piccasso. Since it will handle everything.

AsyncTask dont show me message from server (HttpUrlConnection)

So I'm trying to read a message from the server by HttpURLConnection in a AsyncTask class. The problem is, when i send the request to read the data from the server, it just keeps displaying the ProgresssDialog, like it doesn't read the data from the server:
public class MainActivity extends Activity{
EditText name, password;
Button login;
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
name = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.name);
password = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.password);
login = (Button) findViewById(R.id.login);
login.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
#Override
public void onClick(View v) {
String serverURL = "http://192.168.1.1/my/text.php";
LongOperation longOperation = new LongOperation();
longOperation.execute(serverURL);
}
});
}
private class LongOperation extends AsyncTask<String, Void, Void> {
private String content;
private String error = null;
private ProgressDialog dialog = new ProgressDialog(MainActivity.this);
TextView uiUpdate = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.output);
#Override
protected void onPreExecute() {
uiUpdate.setText("Output : ");
dialog.setMessage("Downloading source..");
dialog.show();
}
#Override
protected Void doInBackground(String... urls) {
try {
URL url = new URL(urls[0]);
HttpURLConnection client = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
client.connect();
InputStream inputStream = client.getInputStream();
BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inputStream));
content = bufferedReader.readLine();
bufferedReader.close();
inputStream.close();
client.disconnect();
} catch (IOException e) {
error = e.getMessage();
}
return null;
}
#Override
protected void onPostExecute(Void unused) {
dialog.dismiss();
if (error != null) {
uiUpdate.setText("Output : "+error);
} else {
uiUpdate.setText("Output : "+content);
}
}
I already tryed before the connectivity to server via HttpClient, so thats not the problem.Thanks!
Try debugging it and see if OnPostExecute() method is getting called or not.!
This seems to get stuck in your stream reader code. Also, add a connection timeout of, say, 5-10 seconds for better user experience.!
Moreover, there seems to be an issue with your return type of doInBackground() method and input parameter type of OnPostExecute() method. As per your AsyncTask definition, they both should be string, isnt it?
See this
Try remove client.connect();
try {
URL url = new URL(urls[0]);
HttpURLConnection client = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
//remove client.connect();
int response = client.getResponse();
if(response == HttpURLConnection.HTTP_OK){
InputStream inputStream = client.getInputStream();
BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inputStream));
content = bufferedReader.readLine();
bufferedReader.close();
inputStream.close();
}
finally{
client.disconnect();
}
} catch (IOException e) {
error = e.getMessage();
}
return null;
Make sure your server is running. Also set request time out.
You are not always required to explicitly call the connect method to initiate the connection. Operations that depend on being connected, like getInputStream, getOutputStream will implicitly perform the connection, when necessary.
This link
Try this:
private class LongOperation extends AsyncTask<String, Void, String>
{
private String content;
private String error = null;
private ProgressDialog dialog = new ProgressDialog(MainActivity.this);
TextView uiUpdate = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.output);
#Override
protected void onPreExecute() {
uiUpdate.setText("Output : ");
dialog.setMessage("Downloading source..");
dialog.show();
}
#Override
protected Strinh doInBackground(String... urls) {
try {
URL url = new URL(urls[0]);
HttpURLConnection client = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection(); client.connect();
InputStream inputStream = client.getInputStream();
BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(inputStream));
content = bufferedReader.readLine();
bufferedReader.close();
inputStream.close();
//client.discon dialog.dismiss();
}
catch (IOException e)
{
content = e.getMessage();
}
return content ;
}
#Override
protected void onPostExecute(String returnValue) {
if (return value != null) {
uiUpdate.setText("Output : "+error);
}
else {
uiUpdate.setText("Output No Value Returned");
}
dialog.dismiss();
}

Android: start a new Activity in onPostExecute() when two strings are equal

I am new to Android development.
I'm trying to create a login with an AsyncTask.
The issue I'm having is that I can't open a new Activity on onPostExecute().
I don't know why, but my app won't run if the if(res=="valid") in postdata. In the log I can see only my response and not my response2.
Here's the code:
public class MainActivity extends Activity {
private EditText employeNum;
private EditText Id;
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
employeNum = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.editText1);
Id = (EditText) findViewById(R.id.editText2);
}
public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) {
// Inflate the menu; this adds items to the action bar if it is present.
getMenuInflater().inflate(R.menu.main, menu);
return true;
}
public class MyAsyncTask extends AsyncTask<String, Integer, Double> {
// int loginVerified=0;
public boolean loginVerified = false;
public String res;
protected Double doInBackground(String... params) {
postData(params[0],params[1]);
return null;
}
protected void onPostExecute(boolean loginVerified){
if(loginVerified == true)
{
Intent menu = new Intent(getApplicationContext(),menu.class);
startActivity(menu);
finish();
}
}
public void postData(String a,String b) {
HttpClient httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient();
HttpPost httpPost = new HttpPost("http://www.nir-levi.com/login/");
try {
List<NameValuePair> nameValuePair = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>(2);
nameValuePair.add(new BasicNameValuePair("user_email", a));
nameValuePair.add(new BasicNameValuePair("user_password", b));
httpPost.setEntity(new UrlEncodedFormEntity(nameValuePair));
HttpResponse response = httpClient.execute(httpPost);
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(response.getEntity().getContent()));
StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer("");
String line = null;
String NL = System.getProperty("line.separator");
while ((line = in.readLine()) != null) {
sb.append(line + NL);
}
in.close();
res = sb.toString();
if(res=="valid"){
Log.v("My Response2::",res);
loginVerified=true;
onPostExecute(loginVerified);
}
Log.v("My Response::",res);
public void login(View v) {
String num = employeNum.getText().toString();
String id = Id.getText().toString();
new MyAsyncTask().execute(num, id);
}
It should be
if(res.equals("valid")) {
...
}
When using if(res =="valid") you compare the strings by reference. Please, see How do I compare strings in Java?.
you should write:
if ("valid".equals(res)) {
}
Also, you should not call onPostExecute in doInBackground. It will be automatically called when the AsyncTask has finished executing.
The problem is because you are calling onPostExecute() explicitly. You want to return the result from postData in doInBackground() as a boolean value. I have verified that this works.
public class MyAsyncTask extends AsyncTask<String, Integer, Boolean> {
private static final String TAG = "MyAsyncTask";
public boolean loginVerified = false;
public String res;
protected Integer doInBackground(String... params) {
try {
// return the boolean loginVerified
return postData(params[0], params[1]);
} catch (IOException e){
Log.e(TAG, "doInBackground()", e);
return false; // <- return the boolean loginVerified
}
}
protected void onPostExecute(Boolean loginVerified){
if(loginVerified == true) {
Intent menu = new Intent(getApplicationContext(), menu.class);
startActivity(menu);
finish();
}
}
private boolean postData(String a, String b) throws IOException {
URL url = new URL("http://www.nir-levi.com/login/");
HttpURLConnection connection = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
try {
connection.setRequestMethod(POST);
connection.setRequestProperty(KEY_USER_AGENT, USER_AGENT);
connection.setDoOutput(true);
DataOutputStream urlOutput = new DataOutputStream(connection.getOutputStream());
urlOutput.writeBytes(urlBody);
urlOutput.flush();
urlOutput.close();
int responseCode = connection.getResponseCode();
InputStream in = null;
if (responseCode == 201){ /* Hopefully your server is sending the
proper Http code for a successful
create */
in = connection.getInputStream();
} else {
in = connection.getErrorStream();
}
ByteArrayOutputStream byteArrayOut = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
int bytesRead = 0;
byte[] buffer = new byte[1024];
while ((bytesRead = in.read(buffer)) > 0) {
byteArrayOut.write(buffer, 0, bytesRead);
}
byteArrayOut.close();
res = new String(byteArrayOut.toByteArray();
Log.v(TAG, "res = " + res);
return (res.compareTo("valid") == 0); // <- return from postData
} catch (FileNotFoundException e){
Log.e(TAG, "Error: " + connection.getResponseCode(), e);
return false;
} finally {
connection.disconnect();
}
}
public void login(View v) {
String num = employeNum.getText().toString();
String id = Id.getText().toString();
new MyAsyncTask().execute(num, id);
}
