Got “success” without receiving any message with GCM - java

I've tried to send a notification from server to my app on my phone and I get "success" but my phone doesn't receive anything, I'm using Google Cloud Messaging, although I received instance ID with message in my server and use it to send a message.

Try to run in debug mode and check if the device is receiving it. You may try to test the gcm connection here: https://console.developers.google.com

Firebase Foreground Notifications Not Showing

For some reason my Firebase notifications are not showing in the foreground. They work fine in the background however, and I followed what Anroid Studio told me to add as well as this tutorial example on github
Judging by the Run window, it is receiving the notification but not sending in foreground
Here is my service code for sending the notification

The intent filter com.google.firebase.MESSAGING_EVENT should be placed in your service, which you are using to get the notifications.
Remember to remove the existing messaging service from the AndroidManifest.xml. If you leave the FireBaseMessagingService in the Manifest. your newly defined service doesn't get picked up.
E.g. remove the following:
<service
android:name="com.google.firebase.messaging.FirebaseMessagingService">
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="com.google.firebase.MESSAGING_EVENT" />
</intent-filter>
</service>
and add the following:
<service
android:name=".MyFirebaseNotificationService">

<action android:name="com.google.firebase.MESSAGING_EVENT" />

GCM Broadcast Receiver not triggering

I have looked at several questions on this site and none seem to be able to answer my question so hopefully someone can help with this. Currently for some reason when I send a message through from the PHP Website, my app doesn't receive the message. I have tried placing Log.d's in the lines of code but it doesn't appear as well. Can someone help to see if something has gone wrong?
[UPDATE] This is the result when I send from the php website

Android gcm notification doesn't open application

I'm using the below code as my receiver and I want to open the application with let's say the specific activity but it doesn't work and nothing happens on notification click:
PendingIntent pIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, intent, 0)
NotificationCompat.Builder builder = new NotificationCompat.Builder(this);
Notification n = builder.setContentIntent(pIntent)
.setSmallIcon(R.drawable.ic_launcher)
.setTicker(title)
.setWhen(System.currentTimeMillis())
.setAutoCancel(true)
.setContentTitle(title)
.setContentText(msg)
.build();
n.defaults |= Notification.DEFAULT_VIBRATE;
n.defaults |= Notification.DEFAULT_SOUND;
mNotificationManager.notify(0, n);
and this is my intent initialized earlier:
Intent intent = new Intent(this, Activity_Notification.class);
here are my manifest's permissions:
<permission
android:name="com.rahil.googlemapsv2.permission.MAPS_RECEIVE"
android:protectionLevel="signature" />
<uses-permission android:name="com.rahil.aidapp.googlemapsv2.permission.MAPS_RECEIVE" />

<permission android:name="com.rahil.aidapp.permission.C2D_MESSAGE"
