Adding a label to a Point on map in ArcGIS - java

I have static points on a map.
I use this code to draw them:
point = GeometryEngine.project(longitude, latitude, mapSR);
pointGraphic = new Graphic(point, symbol);
graphicsLayer.addGraphic(pointGraphic);
The point is drawed on the map.
Now I want to add a label to it - show under the drawn point it's longitude and latitude.
I can do it using text adding, but then when I resize the map, the text placement changes.
I want to put it like a label - let's say on the bottom right from the point.
I want it to be sensitive for zooming, and binded to the Point.
I read about dinamic labels, but it seems very complex for such a simple request.
How can I do this?

Individual graphics don't have labels, but you can create two graphics with the same geometry. Use your current symbol for one of them. For the other graphic, use a TextSymbol, calling setOffsetX(float) and setOffsetY(float) to place it the way you want.

How to turn off the edge labels in JGraphX?

I am trying to create a JGraphXAdapter which receives a directed graph as a constructor argument and applied a mxHierarchicalLayout to it. Then, I use mxCellRenderer to create a BufferedImage and write the visualization to a png file.
The problem is that I do not want the edge labels to be visible. I tried (incorrectly) using this command, but it turns off all the labels.
JGraphXAdapter<String, DefaultEdge> graphAdapter = new JGraphXAdapter<>(directedGraph);
graphAdapter.setLabelsVisible(false);
Is there any way to just turn off the edge labels, but not the vertex labels? Thanks

Edit: there is not much to comment there... "cells" in JGraphX terminology are objects representing visuals of both edges and vertices. So, if you want to change how one specific element is drawn, you should first find its cell through edge->cell or vertex->cell map.
Cell's "value" is its reference to a represented object. Strings that you see on vertices and edges after JGraphX renders everything are basically cell.value == null ? "" : cell.value.toString() (might look a bit different in the source code).

Check if Node(instance of Class) is Clicked

Hey I am working on a small project in the aim to accelerate my learning and have come into a problem , I have an arraylist of class instances each with and x,y location and each have been mapped to fit inside a window , and am wondering how I may go about implementing functionality which would allow user to click on a node( an ellipse on screen at the mapped x,y value from a instance of class) and for my program to somehow have a toggle to display information about this node in another part of the screen , I have looked for code examples and havent found one that I can get working with my senario here is my class

I am taking in data from a csv file and splitting it etc,

You have to add logic for detecting whether the mouse is inside the object.
Exactly how you do this depends on how your object is shaped.
If your object is a circle, you can simply use the dist() function to check whether the mouse is inside the circle.
If your object is a rectangle, then you just have to check whether the cursor position is inside that rectangle. Draw out a few examples on a piece of paper to help figure this out.
If your object is in a grid, then you can map the cursor position to a grid position.
If your object is more complicated, like a polygon, then your logic will have to be more complicated. Google is your friend with this one.
In any case, you're going to have to try something, put together an MCVE (note: this should not be your whole sketch, it should be a small example that we can copy and paste to run ourselves) and ask a more specific question. Good luck.

Mapping coordinates with respect to different screen sizes

I heard SO people like diagrams so I took the time to draw one :D
I need to design an activity that roughly looks like the following:
The map is just an image file of city, terrain etc. Users are able to enter values inside the x-coord and y-coord textbox and when both of them have been entered, a triangular icon (also an image file) will appear on top of the map with respect to the coordinates on the map. The min,max of coordinates are fixed as 0,0 to 10000,10000 for all maps. Users can click the triangular icon (button) and it just takes them to another activity.
What is a sensible approach of designing something as above?
As far as I'm concerned, there are several things I need to take into consideration:
1)Mapping the coordinates with respect to the screen size. An obvious workaround for this is to use absolutelayout and use pixels for positioning the triangular icon, but this solution is terrible for obvious reasons.
2)Laying a button on top of the map (image file). After playing around with bunch of layouts, I couldn't figure out how to do this via Java.
I'm just looking for a really simple guidance, just to get myself going in the right direction.
I would use a SurfaceView. You can draw anything in the onDraw method. Youll get a Canvas object to draw on so it shouldn't be difficult to transform your coordinates and do what you want.

Changing the min and max value of JSlider depanding on condition

I'm creating a Swing GUI in Netbeans. The purpose of this GUI is to open an (buffered)image (in a JLabel as icon) and apply Affine transforms on it. Now there are 4 transforms that I'm doing as follows.
Now, each transform requires two sliders to change the X and Y value, except that of rotate, which will require only one. I did it this way since its much better than having to do four tabs for all 4 types of transforms. Also I want it to be such that , for example, if an image is rotated, the same rotated image can be sheared by selecting shear from the Drop down list.
The problem is (are):
How do i repaint the label icon and apply different transform on the same repainted image?
Also, how do i change the minimum and maximum value of JSlider depanding on the effect selected?
You should store originally loaded BufferedImage, and create its copy - that way you won't "destroy" it.
As for the changing value there are methods setMaximum and setMinimum - add listener to list, as stated in Oracle tutorial and modify the values.
As a concrete example of #Daniel's answer, the article Image processing with Java 2D describes the program ImageDicer. It constructs a TreeMap<String, BufferedImageOp> each of which may be selected from a JComboBox and applied to a BufferedImage.

Get coordinates of cursor in JChart2D

I'm using JChart2D for trace a values of a double array. I'm using ZoomableChart and I want get coordinates (x, y) of cursor when this stay over ZoomableChart in my code to show them in a JLabel and draw a vertical line.
How can I get the coordinates of the cursor?

To get a point is easy. Add a MouseMotionListener to the ZoomableChart.
I'm guessing you want this information to represent a point in the data in the chart, rather than in the potentially zoomed ZoomableChart component itself. For that you'll need to look to something like (trawling through the docs for a class I heard of 'today'..) Chart2D.getPointFinder(), the finder apparently offers getNearestPoint(MouseEvent,Chart2D) to map a MouseEvent back to the underlying structure.
