jqassistant Report generation fails with Maven site - java

I've set up jqassistant successfully, created some rules which are checked in our maven build.
However, when I try to create a Report from the results of the checks I'm getting the following infofrom the console when running mvn site and of course no report is generated:

The problem in your configuration is that you have <extensions>true</extensions> in your configuration.
From the documentation, the basic correct configuration for the plugin is the following and note that:
The jQAssistant Maven plugin must be configured in the pom.xml of the root module, it should not be overwritten by sub-modules.
This means this configuration needs to be at the top-level POM in a multi-module project.

It appears that the current documentation has both versions (with and without <extensions>true</extensions>) because it might be needed in build environments where other extensions are present. An issue was created to track this: https://github.com/buschmais/jqassistant/issues/349

Can anyone please tell me how to apply the semver to the java maven project? I tried many ways, but I didn't find any useful resources to automatically increase the version when I push the code to the branch. I'm using Github action workflow to deploy the project into GitHub.

My first approach is to use the command line but you have to configuration the following in your pom file before. You can of course directly use the command line and put everything on the plain command without this setup but it's very inconvenient

By using the above configuration you can change/update the version of your project like this:
mvn build-helper:parse-version versions:set#major
This will increment the major version and set minor and patch version to 0.
mvn build-helper:parse-version versions:set#minor
This will increment the minor version and set patch version to zero.
mvn build-helper:parse-version versions:set#patch
this will increment the patch version. Afterwards you have to commit your changed back into your version control system (for example git).

Using the maven-release-plugin is also an option. It will make also the tags in your version control.

EJB client from interfaces

I read this, but cannot fix my issue.
I have java module where all files are java interfaces (screenshot).

how to override maven-war-plugin source directory

I had old web application project. Then I added pom.xml, and add maven-war-plugin. In the old project sources were in "Java Resources/src"directory.

If you are planning to migrate to Maven, I suggest that you follow the Maven Standard Directory Layout. Consequently, you should move your source files to src/main/java, static resources like .properties files to the src/main/resources, and webapp resources like CSS and JavaScript files to src/main/webapp.
The Maven-war-plugin use the project source folder, to override the location you must put in your pom like this:

Maven 3 cobertura 2.5.1 configuration

I have configured cobertura in a maven 3 project. My requirement is to configure cobertura in parent pom and configure the ignore, exclude values in child poms in multiple projects. The basic configuration of cobutura plugin in pom xml with reference to it in child pom worked fine. But when i tried to configure ignore, exclude packages in child pom and added instrument goal in parent pom, i'm getting directory issues with the plugin. Configure the javadoc plugin in the <reportPlugins> section of the configuration for the maven-site-plugin, in the parent pom.

In each of the child poms, you can also configure specific reports for the site plugin, for example, surefire test reports or project info. However, you shouldn't need to place any javadoc plugin configurations there (unless you also want non-aggregated javadocs for your child modules).
You should then be able to do mvn site site:stage from the parent directory. To view your aggregated javadocs, point your browser to target/staging/index.html in that directory, and click "Project Reports" and then "JavaDocs" in the index on the left-hand side of the page.
Additional tip:
Sometimes I want to look quickly at the aggregated javadocs without having to do an entire site site:stage, which does more stuff and takes longer. So I also include a configuration for the maven-javadoc-plugin directly in the <plugin> section of the parent pom. That way, I can run mvn javadoc:aggregate and quickly get the aggregated javadocs in target/site/apidocs/index.html.
