Android Registration form wont submit (Volley and SQL) - java

I'm still new to android programming and currently learning how to connect to DB.
I'm following a online tutorial but I'm still facing problems.
The tutorial is about create a registration form and sending it to the database through volley.
I'm using .hostinger.ae as host and Android studio.
Everything seems fine until I click the register button it give me an error of (Couldn't register )
I couldn't locate the error and debugging shows no errors. so please I would appreciate any help to locate the problem.
I have two php files uploaded to the online host on the public folder
dbconnect php The file used to connect to data base
<?php
define('HOST','mysql.hostinger.ae');
define('USER','--');
define('PASS','--');
define('DB','u853541076_tuber');
$con = mysqli_connect(HOST,USER,PASS,DB) or die('Unable to Connect');
and the volleyRegister php
<?php
if($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD']=='POST'){
$username = $_POST['username'];
$email = $_POST['email'];
$password = $_POST['password'];
require_once('dbConnect.php');
$sql = "INSERT INTO volley (username,password,email) VALUES('$username','$email','$password')";
if(mysqli_query($con,$sql)){
echo "Successfully Registered";
}else{
echo "Could not register";
}
}else{
echo 'error';
}

1. Your SQL insert statement is wrongly formed. Some table name or any other issues.
2. Your db configuration file may be some

your query is not match "INSERT INTO volley (username,password,email) VALUES('$username','$email','$password')" . should its query is "`INSERT INTO volley (username,password,email) VALUES('$username','$password','$email')"
check again your server side code, check if the query already successful to insert data into your table.

java.net.ConnectException:Failed to connect to /10.0.2.2:443

I am working on an android app that requires user authentication. I am using localhost phpadmin for server and database connexion. The app so far has 1 login activity that imports a php url to connect to localhost. If everything works fine the app is supposed to show an alertDialog saying that login was successful. But whenever i try running the app, when i click login it shows an empty alertDialog and the AndroidStudio debugger shows this error : java.net.ConnectException:Failed to connect to /10.0.2.2:443
This is the code for MainActivity :

String password= PasswordEt.getText().toString();

#Override

using breakpoints i found out that this line OutputStream outputStream= httpsURLConnection.getOutputStream(); is what's throwing the exception.

I tried adding ports 80,8080 and 8888 but it didn't work. Swapping 10.0.2.2to localhostor to my local ip didn't work either.
I changed https to http:
String login_url= "https://10.0.2.2/MeetLogin.php" to String login_url= "http://10.0.2.2/MeetLogin.php"
and
HttpsURLConnection httpsURLConnection = (HttpsURLConnection)url.openConnection(); to HttpURLConnection httpsURLConnection = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
Now it works perfectly.

My java code could not search for nearby Bluetooth Devices

I have written a code to list nearby Bluetooth Devices but my code is unable to detect any.
According to my code, the action just starts and end and not print any device in logs when I do String action = intent.getAction(); Log.i("Action",action);
in onRecieve() under BroadCastReciever.
Here is my MainActivity.java :
package com.example.findbluetoothdemo;

Log.i("Device Found","Nmae :"+name+" Address :"+address+" RSSI :"+rssi);
if (!addresses.contains(address)) {
addresses.add(address);
String deviceString = "";
if (name==null || name.equals("")) {

} else {

}
bluetoothDevices.add(deviceString);
arrayAdapter.notifyDataSetChanged();
}
}
}
};
public void searchFunction(View view) {
bluetoothDevices.add("ADDING NEW DEVICES...");
statusTextView.setText("Searching...");
searchButton.setEnabled(false);
arrayAdapter.notifyDataSetChanged();
bluetoothDevices.clear();
addresses.clear();
bluetoothAdapter.startDiscovery();
}
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);

And here is AndroidManifest.xml :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

</application>
</manifest>
You need to ask for permission if you haven't done already.
int premissionCehck = context.checkSelfPermission("Manifest.premission.ACCES_FINE_LOCATION");
premissionCehck += context.checkSelfPermission("Manifest.premission.ACCES_FINE_LOCATION");
if (premissionCehck != 0) {
ActivityCompat.requestPermissions(activity, new String[]{Manifest.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, Manifest.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION}, 1001);
}
Take Care, If you already denied permission once, the permission request doesn't appear again, so you need to give it free in your android settings.

Geocoder IntentService is not being called

I understand this questions has been asked many times, for each question that has already been asked, the implementation is different from mine. The method I used create and call the intentService for a geocoder, was used from the android dev tutorial site.
https://developer.android.com/training/location/display-address.html.
I have gone over the the tutorial 3 times over to make sure I wasn't missing anything, but it is clear that I am.
Here is my manifest file, I have added the location and internet permissions.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" />
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
<application
android:allowBackup="true"
android:icon="#mipmap/ic_launcher"
android:label="#string/app_name"
android:supportsRtl="true"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme">
<activity android:name=".selectRouteAndTransportMethod">
<intent-filter>
<action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
<category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
</intent-filter>
<service
android:name=".FetchAddressIntentService"
android:exported="false"/>
</activity>

EDIT: I have tried rewriting the geocoder following the instructions from the android dev site again, but no success.
EDIT2: I noticed in the manifest I declared the service, within the application declaration, instead of outside, I made the change but to no avail, any insights will be appreciated

NullPointerException occurring when starting new activity

I am getting this exception when trying to start a new activity through a method in my Main
java.lang.NullPointerException: Attempt to invoke virtual method
'android.content.Context android.content.Context.getApplicationContext()
' on a null object reference
The method i am using to start the new activity is not called in the main activity. I think this is what is causing the issue, since i tried to call the method in the OnCreate method of the main activity, and it worked.
However i cannot figure out a way to fix this, a friend suggested that i used singleton, but that didn't work - or maybe my understanding of how to use it is just too limited.

I have to get some data from a MySQL database on server. I have the following code.but the app crashes when I run it. I also get the Permission denied (missing INTERNET permission?) in my Logcat even though I specified the internet permission in my Android Manifest.
Any idea what might be wrong here?

This happens because you're connecting to your MySQL server from the main UI thread. create a secondary thread (or async task) to connect and to get the results.
Use Async Task to get the data from your database..
StrictMode.ThreadPolicy policy = new StrictMode.ThreadPolicy.Builder().permitAll().build();
StrictMode.setThreadPolicy(policy);
Writing the above code is not at all a better way to get rid from NetworkOnMainThreadException . You have to use any background thread for doing network operation in android above api 11 such as Asynch Task , Intent Service etc.
How to fix android.os.NetworkOnMainThreadException?
You can also use Executors for network task's
Executors.newSingleThreadExecutor().submit(new Runnable() {
#Override
public void run() {
//You can performed your task here.
}
});
Add Internet Permission in your AndroidManifest.xml
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
Use Asynck Task like
List<String> r = new ArrayList<String>();
Need to declare out of connect();
with Oncreate
new LongOperation().execute("");
now create
private class LongOperation extends AsyncTask<String, Void, String> {
#Override
protected String doInBackground(String... params) {
connect();
return "Executed";
}
#Override
protected void onPostExecute(String result) {
ArrayAdapter<String>adapter=new ArrayAdapter<String>(getApplicationContext(), android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1,r);
ListView list=(ListView)findViewById(R.id.listView1);
list.setAdapter(adapter);
}
#Override
protected void onPreExecute() {}
#Override
protected void onProgressUpdate(Void... values) {}
}
// need to remove Ui control from connect(); and that require value
bind it on onPostExecute
use Async. For more help check this
