Common TextWatcher Saving Values in JSON Improperly (Replacing old values) - java

I have created Adapter to store Cart Items with there dynamic quantities.
Adding custom views which Contains Size, No. of Print, Price. In that I have to take No. of Print in EditText from User Input.
onBindViewHolder() of Adapter: In that I have added common TextWatcher for every EditText which is separated by ID passed in Constructor.

When I Change First Cart Item with all three EditText values and Saving new JSON is like Click to see JSON after 3rd EditText filled up Its Working Fine,
But
After changing Second Cart Item fourth EditText Value and Saving JSON like as Click to see after changing 4th EditText in Second Cart Its replacing old Values.
I am getting this problem since last two days. Any help would be appreciated.

How to get text from all TextViews RecyclerView

First of all sorry for the language. I have a RecyclerView with items. I have a checkbox in each item. I have onCheckedChangeListener inside RecyclerAdapter.
When I check 4 checkboxes I need to disable the remaining. So how can I get an access for them? I can do it when on create Recycler by checking how many items are selected. But can't find how to get access for every checkbox in onCheckedChange method. Screenshot example

Your adapter and viewholder are actually doing too much, but for a small list you can probably get away with it. Calling the sqldatabse like this onclick can be a bit awkward, i am not sure, but i think you are blocking the main thread with this which means you may notice that onclick slightly freezes your app.
But the simplest way disable the items in your recyclerview is to update the items in your
private ArrayList<AtributeEditItem> mEditAtributeList
and call
notifyDataSetChanged()
on the adapter, as you can then derive the state based on the data

Best solution for Checkbox in LinearLayout

In my LinearLayout, there's a variable number of CheckBoxes. In a question I had a month ago someone said it´s better to add checkboxes dynamicly instead of make them not visible.

Currently, I'm able to save a string with the checked checkboxes, if I un-check a checkbox, it deletes it's value out of the string.
If I update the activity, the string is saved, and the checkboxes get a new List from the mFrageList.get(position)getAuswahlList(); and fill a new string in the "antwortencode" List with their values.
If I go back to the last position, I have the string which was generated but the checkboxes aren't checked anymore. But they have the Strings from the old position. that means everything is saved except the state of the checkboxes. I cant set a cBox.setChecked(isChecked) or buttonView.setChecked(isChecked) or buttonView.setChecked(buttonView.isChecked()) or something which is nearly the same in syntax.
I don't know what I can do besides declaring 10 Checkboxes in a xml file to talk to them one by one and set the VISIBLE.false if the auswahlList.get(position).isEmpty().
IMPORTANT: My XML is a Scrollable Activity because the size of the content overextended the screen. Thats why i didn´t and can´t use a Listview. So i need a solution that uses a LinearLayout
The truth is, you should actually use a ListView. As long as you reuse a layout multiple times - do it.
There are 2 options:
ListView as root - add other contents of your layout as different types of view
ListView inside a scrollable layout - there are many lightweight implementations of ListView that allow it to wrap content, e.g. https://github.com/paolorotolo/ExpandableHeightListView
The other thing is how to maintain the state of Checkboxes - use model classes. It's extremely easy with a ListView as it forces you to use an Adapter which provides methods to iterate over all positions.

Improve Large ListView Adapter smooth scroll, sometimes jerky

I'm trying to see what is making my listview jerk sometimes when scroll, at times it's bad especially when the application first launches.
All the conditions I have are necessary, unless there is something I don't know(highly likely).
I'm not running certain tasks on a seperate thread because they are dependent on the data I receive from the backend(I'm coding both, so backend suggestions are welcome as well). Product is in beta but really need to make this a slightly bit smoother. I'm compressing the images, and they are a bit long but it's not the problem because when I upload the images from the device, I also include the width and height of the image and send that along to the backend. These dimensions come back when loading the list.
One thing I wonder is if calculating/converting the dimensions for the specific device's screen is causing the slight lag. Not sure how resource intensive that task is, but without it(without knowing the dimensions, each row would start out flat and then expand to the actual picture size which would cause the list to jump, so I can't run that calculation on the background either.)
Basically the scrolling isn't bad, but I need to improve this somehow.

It is impossible to point to a specific issue because there is so much code in your Adapter. One thing is sure, though - switching to RecyclerView won't help you in this case.
Adapters should not contain business logic - they should only "adapt" input objects to the underlying Views. In your case, it seems like the adapter performs calculations, spawns new threads, performs network requests, etc.
You need to refactor your code such that the adapter will be similar to this:

Your code needs to be structured in such a way, that business logic that involves calculations and transformation of data executed before you bind a new data to ListView, and Post objects that you pass to bindPosts() method already contain the results of the aforementioned calculations and transformations.
Adapter just "adapts" the final data from Posts to Views - nothing more.
If you're short on time now, and just need to "make it work", then I would start by removing the logic that spawns new threads and makes network requests. See if this improves performance.
Change your implementation to RecyclerView which is more efficient in terms of scrapping views or recycling.
We can also enable optimizations if the items are static and will not change for significantly smoother scrolling:

Also, if you are intending to update an existing list, make sure to get the current count of items before making any changes. For instance, a getItemCount() on the adapter should be called to record the first index that will be changed.

From this too less information, I guess You are trying to add some values to Your filterList. The problem is, that everytime Your are going through the loop, You are creating a new ArrayList:

You have to init the filterList first, don´t do this inside the loop. Your loop must look like this:

it´s also important what You trying to reach. If You just want to fill a new list if the button is clicked, then init Your list inside onButtonClick outside the loop. But if You want to fill that list again and again and the values should persist, then init the list inside Your constructor.
But also, in Your case, this will not work, because filterList is from type "FilteredCategoryModel" and catList is from type "Product". You cannot fill an ArrayList with a wrong type.
If you want to add one ArrayList data into another you don't need to use loop, Use addAll() of ArrayList. Please check below example.

EDIT: (Below worked for me)
Changed ListAdapter to SimpleAdapter
if(adapter != null){list.clear(); adapter.notifyDataSetChanged();}
Added the above code in onTextChange
Look if you want the TextView with no result you can implement this code
listView.setEmptyView(emptyView)
and pass your TextView to this method ,
for clearing the ListView you can clear your collection and call notifyChangeDataSet or set adapter with null try both and feed me back
