Cannot import org.h2.server.web.WebServlet - java

I am trying to configure my spring boot application to use h2 console. I found some articles and all of them use webServlet. But I can not import the class although I have h2 dependency added in my pom.xml. I get this error message can not resolve the symbol WebServlet. My import line
import org.h2.server.web.WebServlet;
Below is my pom.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>

and configuration
#Bean

ServletRegistrationBean registration = new ServletRegistrationBean(new WebServlet());
registration.addUrlMappings("/console/*");
return registration;
}
Let me know what I am missing here.

Shouldn't h2 be a compile (instead of runtime) dependency?

I had the same problem, probably running the same example. Had the correct maven pom.xml dependency but for some reason had to download the h2 driver jar directly from Maven. Then the code above worked. Taking away "runtime" element will default to compile.
<!-- https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.h2database/h2 -->
<dependency>
<groupId>com.h2database</groupId>
<artifactId>h2</artifactId>
<version>1.4.192</version>
</dependency>

Just remove runtime form your h2 dependency and everything will be fine

<dependency>
<groupId>com.h2database</groupId>
<artifactId>h2</artifactId>
<version>1.4.200</version>
<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>

FYI, 'runtime' scope is default by design. The reason is mentioned in the following Github page. (I leave it to you to decide)
https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-boot/issues/16509

it's work for me
<dependency>
<groupId>com.h2database</groupId>
<artifactId>h2</artifactId>
<scope>compile</scope>
</dependency>

My issue was
cannot access javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet
i managed to solve it by changing the parent version in pom.xml from 3.0.0 to 2.4.2
however annotations #Entity and #Table stopped working
so i had to switch from
import jakarta.persistence.*;
to :
import javax.persistence.*;
and now it is working again

Error adding Firebase Admin SDK to Spring Boot Project

I am creating a Spring Boot Project where I want to use Firebase Messaging. I followed this article- https://www.baeldung.com/spring-fcm and https://firebase.google.com/docs/admin/setup but getting an error when adding the Firebase Admin dependency-
<dependency>
<groupId>com.google.firebase</groupId>
<artifactId>firebase-admin</artifactId>
<version>9.1.1</version>
</dependency>
I am using Spring Boot version 3.0.2
When I add this dependency, I get a build error-
The container 'Maven Dependencies' references non existing library 'C:\Users\<my-username>\.m2\repository\com\google\firebase\firebase-admin\9.1.1\firebase-admin-9.1.1.jar'
Everything works fine when I don't add this dependency.
Other dependencies in my pom.xml are-
<dependency>

While I'm running the current version of the project, I'm getting constantly the issue as:
Liquibase failed to start because no changelog could be found at 'classpath:/db/changelog/db.changelog-master.yaml'.
I've already researched answers based on:
https://stackoverflow.com/a/63227085/8370915
Liquibase failed to start because no changelog could be found at 'Migration File: class path
Why liquibase unable to resolved the db.changelog classpath?
and my question based on it is:
if I don't have any requirements in the task to use Liquibase as an additional tool, can I fix this issue somehow and avoid it as I don't need it.
If yes, do you know what can be the cause of reproducing it? What do I need to change in my POM specifically to remove this error?
I'm asking it, because if I remove the dependency as liquibase-core:
<dependency>
<groupId>org.liquibase</groupId>
<artifactId>liquibase-core</artifactId>
<version>4.16.1</version>
</dependency>
I'm getting another issue as:
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: liquibase.exception.ChangeLogParseException
and to solve it, I need to add dependency of Liquibase.
I can provide any additional details, if you need.
Thank you in advance for any smart ideas.
As one of the use cases, it can be added the changelog file:
db.changelog-master.yaml
inside the directory resource/db/changelog/ with the following content as:
databaseChangeLog:
- changeSet:
id: 1
author: invzbl3
name: db.changelog-master.yaml
environment: testing
is-enabled: false
using is-enabled with the value as false.

Starting the project directly with IntelliJ-IDE works perfectly fine, but when i use terminal java -jar java -jar 0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar I get the above exception.
I already tried to add maven dependencies like spring-boot-starter-logging additional to spring-boot-starter-web, but that didn't resolve the problem. Also deleting .m2 and reinstalling all packages didn't help.
Maven-dependencies are all on the latest stable version.

In short, your dependencies are a mess. Logback is provided by Spring and several others are already included through the starters. Spring Boot will also manage version of other dependencies, use those to be sure to get a proper one. Finally I suggest depending on the default, HikariCP, connection pool instead of Commons DBCP2.
So again in short cleanup your dependencies.

Hibernate Issue with Spring Maven & Tomcat

I have been scratching my head for a few hours and can't seem to solve this issue. I have been following several tutorials on getting started with Maven & Hibernate, following this and this. Each time I deploy on Virgo Tomcat, I get the following error spitting out
An Import-Package could not be resolved. Caused by missing constraint in bundle <com.stuart.contextmanagement_0.1.0>
constraint: <Import-Package: javassist.util.proxy; version="[3.18.0,4.0.0)">
So I added Java Assist as a dependency in my pom, then is spat out
An Import-Package could not be resolved. Caused by missing constraint in bundle
com.stuart.contextmanagement_0.1.0>
constraint: <Import-Package: com.sun.jdi.request; version="0.0.0">
I can't find the above package when searching through repo's. I have also experienced a similar issue before, and every time I add a new dependency which it can't find, it can't find another one and so on...
A snippet of my pom is as follows;
<dependency>
<groupId>org.slf4j</groupId>
<artifactId>slf4j-log4j12</artifactId>
<version>${slf4j.version}</version>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>

</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>javassist</groupId>
<artifactId>javassist</artifactId>
<version>3.12.1.GA</version>

Thanks for your help.
hm, have you tried also the jboss javassist?
