Storing base java project inside child project jar (maven, docker) - java

Thanks for having a look at this!
Max
In the future I'm going to building lots of microservices that are all based upon the same parent java project. These microservices are all going to be using spring cloud and docker.
I currently have the base java project and a child project. The main for each microservices should be inherited from the parent project.
Up till now I've been using
mvn clean package assembly:single
for building the jar for the microservice so that the parent is store inside the jar. Then to run
java -cp MicroService.jar path.to.parent.Main
Which is working fine. I'm sure it's not the best way to go about it and I'd love any advice about improvements.
My problem now is that I want to use docker:build
mvn clean package docker:build
After packaging the microservice using docker:build, how do I specify a path to the parent project's Main since the parent project is no longer being stored in the jar made from docker:build.
Microservice (child)

Spring Security Dependency Not Found

I am trying to implement a login feature for my springboot project, but I never added the spring security dependency while setting up my initial project from Spring Initializer, so when I created a new project from Spring Initializer and added the Spring Security Dependency, there were all of a sudden errors any time a Spring annotation or Spring functionality was referenced. When I create a new project without adding the Spring Security Dependency, all of these errors go away.

Add a spring.config.import=configserver: property to your configuration.
If configuration is not required add spring.config.import=optional:configserver: instead.
To disable this check, set spring.cloud.config.enabled=false or
spring.cloud.config.import-check.enabled=false.
To use the legacy bootstrap way of connecting to Config Server,bootstrap must be enabled via a property or the spring-cloud-starter-bootstrap starter.The property is spring.cloud.bootstrap.enabled=true. It must be set as a System Property or environment variable. spring docs
After expending too much time I found two approach to fix this issues -
Basically we have to make the value of spring.cloud.bootstrap.enabled as true by default it is false. This was already mentioned in Spring Cloud doc but I didn't get this point at very first time. After finding the solution of this issue, the point of spring cloud doc has cleared.
First Approach: set the System environment variable in #SpringBootApplicationclass
public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
System.setProperty("spring.cloud.bootstrap.enabled","true");
run(Application.class, args);
}
Second Approach: An entry of dependency into pom.xml, it make spring.cloud.bootstrap.enabled
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-starter-bootstrap</artifactId>
</dependency>

Facing issue while running spring boot maven project in eclipse which on running gets terminated

When I am trying to run the spring boot maven project using java application in console on top it shows but below it shows everything is started i even included tomcat so it will be able to load in the browser too but it is not loading in the browser and gets terminated
I am not able to understand where is the issue currently so that i can run the application successfully
Please check the POM file mentioned and the screen shot attached while running.
I had even tried removing .m2 repository and perform clean build and rerun again then too no changes appeared.
I just wanted to launch the spring boot application in the browser so if there is any wrong in my code while running like spring-boot maven project i am right clicking on the main class and performing run as java application
I have even added dependency for using restcontroller which i am getting a classpath error where after changing the class path to .m2 repository it is still not resolved

You are using incompatible versions in your dependencies. You should be using spring boot dependency management plugin to be on the safe side.
Replace
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-web</artifactId>
<version>4.1.6.RELEASE</version>
</dependency>
with

When you add this dependency spring-boot-starter-data-jpa in your maven file spring searches for spring.datasource.url config in application.properties file.
You need to define it in application.properties

How to map my ejbs in order to be able to test them in my Arquillian project?
You have a couple of options.
If your EJB and other JAR are deployed separately to your app, you can use multiple deployments in your test case. Only one is "testable" but both can be deployed. You can simplify the reading of this external JAR file using ShrinkWrap's maven resolver.
If they are wrapped in to a WAR or EAR, just use that WAR or EAR as your deployment.
