I'm trying to install jenkins into weblogic server
If I deploy normally to weblogic, this error evoke.
Error 500--Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from
fulfilling the request.
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Weblogic
in this article, It says make some code and drop to WEB-INF of war directory.
But I can not find WEB-INF of jenkins, and If I make WEB-INF, this error still evoke.
How Can I install jenkins into weblogic?
I solved this problem.
I was use jenkins 2.X version and this error evoke.
When I downgrade to 1.615.3 version, this error erased.
So you must use this version.

I am new to java servlets. I have installed apache-tomcat-9.0.0.M21.
When I run the project containing servlet in eclipse browser, sometimes I get the error-
Error resolving 'localhost': Name or service not known.
Other times the error is -
Error resolving 'localhost' : Temporary failure in name resolution.
This project runs fine in my web browser.
Also, after I add <servlet>...</servlet> and <servlet-mapping>...<servlet-mapping> in web.xml, I get the error - Server Tomcat v9.0 Server at localhost failed to start.
One more thing, I use Ubuntu operating system (if it has to do something with the question).
Please help. I googled for the solution but I am not able to resolve the error.
Try adding the below to your /etc/hosts file.
127.0.0.1 localhost
I am getting the below error while deploying the ear in the weblogic server through jenkins. Ear deployment is getting stuck showing "deploy Running".

We had almost the same error and after a brief investigation found out our newly created server doesn't have every auth it needed. I know it's a bit old thread but it might help to somebody.
check the permission inside tmp folder of admin and managed server where code is deployed. ownership should be with the same id with which code is getting deployed.
I create a simple java web service project in intellij idea and configured the glassfish 4.1 server. and just run the application. output window shows the following messages
C:\glassfish4\glassfish\bin\asadmin.bat start-domain domain1
Attempting to start domain1.... Please look at the server log for more details.....
[2015-06-10 01:35:00,667] Artifact HelloWorld:war exploded: Server is not connected. Deploy is not available.
Detected server admin port: 4848
Detected server http port: 8080
server is running fine. but webservice is not deployed. can anyone help me.
I use java 8. intellij 14, glassfish 4.1 and windows 8.1
I followed following posts, but none of these are helps me.
post one , post two , post 03, post 04
I spend last two day to find an answer, please help me.
Check your Facets and your Artifacts are all right. Facets must have web deployment description and Web Resource description, the absolute path is all right.
Check the Artifact output directory, make directories:
WEB-INF/class/{your compile output},
the resource directory for example web app directory content.
I think the IntelliJ use ant as it's deployment tools, then you can image how it work, just denote the path the project need
due to some company requirement I have enable the asadmin> create-service and set the GlassFish Server as a windows service while setting it to Start in a Automatic way. I am using Netbean 8.0.
However after I enable the Glassfish server service in auto method and when I try to deploy a Try sample project (Java Web) in Netbeans, after I RUN the project I got the following error in the Internet explorer.
HTTP Status 500 - Internal Server Error
Exception report
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: PWC6345: There is an error in invoking javac. A full JDK (not just JRE) is required
The full stack traces of the exception and its root causes are available in the GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 4.0 logs.
However when I remove the Glassfish server from windows service list and when I run the project back, then it successful.
since I have no idea on java and all, can kindly help me to find the root cause of this or what is the workaround?
Thanks
Hasitha
I have a web application running on tomcat. I want to deploy it on a weblogic server but i get some problems.

Seems like you had problems with Java versions of what Tomcat is using(points to JAVA_HOME) at environmental variable and JDK of Weblogic. Also it would be good if you send some logs and exception messages.
