Equinox can´t resolve org.eclipse.osgi.services and org.eclipse.equinox.cm

I am new to OSGI and I am currently stuck with following problem:
I am trying to write an OSGI module with a managed service which should return hello world strings in different languages based on configuration. I have downloaded Equinox and added it under Preferences/Plug-in Development/Target platform/Content in my Eclipse IDE. When I then try to import the packages I require in the MANIFEST.ML

Eclipse warns me that no available bundle exports these packages (I have ticked them under Preferences/Plug-in Development/Target platform/) even though Eclipse then recognizes classes like ManagedService.

ManagedService appears to be in the org.osgi.service.cm package (not org.eclipse.equinox.cm) which the org.eclipse.osgi.services plug-in does export. So I think you are importing the wrong packages.

Error Installing Eclim, "SKProfile" is not a valid indentifier

I am trying to get Eclim installed on my Debian Windows Subsystem For Linux (WSL) virtual machine under Windows 10. It appears that my issues have to do with the SDK in some way, but I'm unsure of how to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Below is my log file containing the stacktrace.

Try installing latest, Eclipse 4.8.x (Photon), which is one of the requirements in the installation instruction. That fixed it for me.

Eclipse don't run

Hello I tried to install eclipse, but I doing something wrong, a few moments ago I install eclipse via terminal. Just hit apt install eclipse. I have JDK 9 and JRE 9. Eclipse give me a error log.

What happened?

The version of Eclipse you are trying to use (probaby 3.8 or 4.2 judging by the plugin ids) is very old and doesn't understand Java 9. The layout of the Java 9 JRE/JDK directories has changed significantly and this is confusing this old Eclipse.
Use Eclipse Oxygen.2 4.7.2 to run with Java 9 or use Java 8 to run the old version of Eclipse.

JUnit Plug-in Test Ignores Target Platform in Eclipse Neon

I have some problems getting JUnit plug-in tests to work using Eclipse Neon M7 and I'd really like input from anybody out there who uses tests (there has to be somebody, right?).

Clearly it's not a Eclipse bug at this point, but I'm doing something wrong. There is no indication what kind of plug-ins are started in the test, but judging from the version ranges I assume it's the wrong ones again - the plug-ins of the running Eclipse instance instead of the plug-ins defined in the workspace's target platform.
Still the launch configuration claims the later target platform is used.
How do I configure a plug-in unit test so that it will take the currently active target platform?

The problem here is that Eclipse 4.4 (Luna, 2014) and below had a version of org.eclipse.core.runtime that was compatible with the host Eclipse version of org.eclipse.pde.junit.runtime. That changed with 4.5 when the dependency increased.
As you have correctly concluded that the configuration is pointing at the wrong org.eclipse.pde.junit.runtime. This is probably due to uncleared configuration state. Ensure that the configuration is being cleared, so you don't run with a stale version. That is ensure that Clear the configuration area before launching is checked in the Configuration tab of launch configuration.
You can see exactly what PDE has resolved as the configured bundles by looking at ${workspace_loc}/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.pde.core/pde-junit/org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator/bundles.info (location specified in Configuration tab of launch configuration)

Getting Eclipse Indigo Startup Error

I am learning Android development and the IDE I am using for this purpose is Eclipse Indigo. I had downloaded Android Toolkit as well.
The problem I am having is that: Every time I am trying to launch my eclipse indigo, I face the following error.
