Android Constraint Layout Renderproblems in NestedScrollView - java

I´am trying to add my ConstraintLayout to a NestedScrollView.
When spectating my ContraintLayout everything looks fine.
But then including the layout to my NestedScrollView the collapses the ContraintLayout.(Even though I use match parent width/heigt on the include and in my CL)
This actually was a bug in a previous Version of the ContraintLayout (~pre Beta).Google Bug Reports
I´am following this approach with Verion beta4.Link to Youtube AndroidDev Channel
constraint_layout.xml:
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"

Is there a workaround?

Gosh...reserching for a hour without a Answer.
Creating a SO post and found answer after 5 minutes.
This problem discribed above is the same like in ScrollView. The Solution is to add
android:fillViewport="true"
to the scrollable parent.
So nested_scrollview_layout.xml will be:
<android.support.v4.widget.NestedScrollView
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fillViewport="true"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior"
tools:context="de.project.andy.aliver.JobCreatorActivity"
tools:showIn="#layout/activity_job_creator">
<include layout="#layout/constraint_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
</android.support.v4.widget.NestedScrollView>

What you should do is make another layout set it's background color and have another RelativeLayout in that. Then include you current layout into that one and it will be easy to handle for you.

Fragment content overlapping toolbar

Implementing a BottomNavigationView with viewpager and tablayout.Each navigation view is a fragment in first fragment ("NewsFeedFragment") i want to use tablayout attached with a viewpager. Result come correct but the content of the fragment overlaps the parent toolbar.
Here is how i am trying to use it.

can somebody please help me?
Repeat:
The listView in the sub-activity go on the top of the application bar (i think it's called) but it's still clickable. I need to put it below the app bar.
Instead of using marginTop="?android:attr/actionBarSize", the right way is to add app:layout_behavior attribute to your FrameLayout. This attribute make your frame layout always positioned below toolbar.
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/content_frame"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" />
And don't forget to add xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto" tag to root of your layout.
Just modify
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/content_frame"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />
to
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/content_frame"
android:layout_marginTop="?android:attr/actionBarSize"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent" />

Using CoordinatorLayout with TabsLayout in fragments and NavigationDrawer in the enclosing Activity

I would like to follow the Google Play navigation design in my application.
I thought it should be pretty straight-forward, but unfortunately Android Studio doesn't offer such a built-in layout. I could not find a detailed example that implements that either. However I found dozens of third-party libraries about that, but the implementation varies too much and it looks like that there is no consensus.
I would like to get a NavigationDrawer whuch opens from the left, and based on what you click on the NavigationDrawer menu, I would also like to have tabbed fragment(Implemented with TabsLayout and ViewPager in the Fragment) on click of the first NavigationDrawer item (under the toolbar).
This is my code:
activity_main.xml
`
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true">
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/main_content"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:background="#color/colorPrimary"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true" />
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:id="#+id/menu_container"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:background="#ffffff"
android:clickable="true"
app:headerLayout="#layout/navheader"

I'm not 100% sure if this is what you were looking for but I use a DrawerLayout on my Activity and in one of the Fragments which I display on the Activity, I use a TabLayout. My layouts look like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:id="#+id/drawer_layout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.NavigationDrawer"
tools:openDrawer="start">
<android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true">
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:id="#+id/app_bar_layout_main"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.AppBarOverlay">
<android.support.v7.widget.Toolbar
android:id="#+id/toolbar_main"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="?attr/actionBarSize"
android:background="?attr/colorPrimary"
app:popupTheme="#style/AppTheme.PopupOverlay" />
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<FrameLayout
android:id="#+id/content_main"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" />
</android.support.design.widget.CoordinatorLayout>
<android.support.design.widget.NavigationView
android:id="#+id/nav_view"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:layout_gravity="start"
android:fitsSystemWindows="true"
app:headerLayout="#layout/nav_header_main"
app:menu="#menu/activity_main_drawer" />
</android.support.v4.widget.DrawerLayout>
And heres the Fragment with the TabLayout:
<LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:app="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res-auto"
xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
android:orientation="vertical" >
<android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.AppBar">
<android.support.design.widget.TabLayout
android:id="#+id/tabLayout"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:background="#color/colorWhite"
android:theme="#style/AppTheme.TabLayout"
app:tabGravity="fill"
app:tabMode="fixed"/>
</android.support.design.widget.AppBarLayout>
<android.support.v4.view.ViewPager
android:id="#+id/viewPager"
android:layout_width="match_parent"
android:layout_height="match_parent"
app:layout_behavior="#string/appbar_scrolling_view_behavior" />
</LinearLayout>
The only problem is that the ActionBar/Toolbar now is elevated. To fix this when I display the Fragment with the TabLayout (not all my Fragments have a TabLayout), I use:
private void elevateActionBar(boolean elevate){
//Elevate ActionBar (make ActionBar have a shadow)
AppBarLayout appBarLayout = (AppBarLayout) findViewById(R.id.app_bar_layout_main);
if(elevate) {
appBarLayout.setElevation(4);
}else{
appBarLayout.setElevation(0);
}
}
whenever I replace my R.id.content_main. Hope that helps somebody.
