Adapter JCA Tuxedo not working - java

I am following the "https://github.com/MatthewDavidCampbell/TuxedoJCA" repository code however I am having the following error. Does anyone know what might be missing?
{Caused by: javax.resource.ResourceException: TPCALL failed TPException:TPENOENT(6):0:0:TPED_MINVAL(0):QMNONE(0):0:Could not find service MY_SERVICE_TUXEDO}

My guess is that the JCA adapter either hasn't been configured properly to connect to the remote Tuxedo application, or the particular service is not currently running in the connected Tuxedo application. TPENOENT is a generic error message that indicates the particular service was not available.
It also looks like that code from github may have never worked based upon this thread in the Tuxedo forums: https://community.oracle.com/thread/2455835?start=0

CAn't connect to Oracle with Spring Boot and Hibernate

I have a working Spring Boot app (1.2) that uses Postgres. Today I am trying to switch it to Oracle, but when I try to connect I get an exception that says:
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
And below that,
Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
So of course that looks like bad credentials, but I know they are good, and they are working in Oracle SQL Developer just fine. I'm baffled. Here are my properties file entries:
# Properties for Hibernate and Oracle
spring.datasource.driverClassName=oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
spring.datasource.url=jdbc:oracle:thin:#//earth-db-11:5121/stardev
spring.datasource.username=ops$abcdefg
spring.datasource.password=mypassword
spring.jpa.database-platform=org.hibernate.dialect.Oracle10gDialect
The only idea I have is that there is a $ in the user name, and I have tried escaping it and putting double quotes around it.
Any ideas?
Thanks...
UPDATE:
Many thanks to BonanzaOne, I did have the port number wrong. Correcting that results in a new error:
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12514, TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
I looked it up of course, but I don't follow what its telling me:
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
Cause: The listener received a request to establish a connection to a database
or other service. The connect descriptor received by the listener specified a
service name for a service (usually a database service) that either has not yet
dynamically registered with the listener or has not been statically configured
for the listener. This may be a temporary condition such as after the listener
has started, but before the database instance has registered with the listener.
Still, SQL Explorer connects fine.
That exception means that the Oracle listener is not up, or you are trying to connect to a listener that don't exist/not accessible.
My guess is that you trying the wrong port "5121". Oracle default port is 1521.
Can you try with that and see what happens?
From the FAQ there are basically two ways of composing your JDBC string URL:
Old syntax
jdbc:oracle:thin:#[HOST][:PORT]:SID
New syntax
jdbc:oracle:thin:#//[HOST][:PORT]/SERVICE
My guess is that you are using the wrong syntax-SID/Service name combination, in other words, you are using the new syntax that requires the SERVICE name, but you are using the SID name to do it.
Try this: jdbc:oracle:thin:#earth-db-11:1521:stardev
Or maybe find out the Service name and apply it to the new syntax that you are using, instead of the SID name.

WSDLException ... An error occurred trying to resolve schema ... Connection timed out: connect

First of all, my error is almost identical to what is reported in this question: WSDLException : An error occurred trying to resolve schema referenced at
Here is a snippet of my stack dump:
javax.wsdl.WSDLException: WSDLException (at /definitions/types/xs:schema/xs:schema): faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: An error occurred trying to resolve schema referenced at 'http://www.w3.org/2005/05/xmlmime', relative to 'http://server.subdom.domain.com:13080/SM/7/Common.xsd'.: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect] MDC{}

This occurs in my embedded Tomcat server running from within Eclipse. It is running on a Windows machine and there is an httpProxy at the system level. However, the URL is an internal address for which no proxy is needed. Anyhow, I implemented programmatically a proxy with the following code just before the reference to the WSDL file:
System.setProperty("http.proxySet", "true");
System.setProperty("http.proxyHost", "proxyhost.subdom.domain.com");
System.setProperty("http.proxyPort", "8080");
System.setProperty("https.proxyHost", "proxyhost.subdom.domain.com");
System.setProperty("https.proxyPort", "8080");
And now I am getting an HTTP 502 error which indicate a bad gateway. So, I suppose this solution is the wrong one since I shouldn't need a proxy in first place. I can access the page from within a browser, indistinctly if I enable or disable the proxy settings. In addition, there is a script to configure the proxy and if I use the proxy host shown above and hardcode it in my browser instead of "system proxy" or "automatic setting" I cannot access the page.
To summarize, it behaves like there is like it needs a proxy setup, however it doesn't. The problem is elsewhere and I have no idea how I can make significant progress to debug this problem.
Any hints? Something with Tomcat? Something with Eclipse?
I haven't tried yet on a standalone Tomcat server since my code is not yet ready for deployement.
NOTE: BTW, I tried the command from the quoted post and I am getting the same error as well. Connect timed out without system properties defined for the proxy and 502 code otherwise. At the same time, if I am launching the Web Service Explorer from Eclipse I am perfectly able to access the webservice and invoke operations.
Further investigation: I decided to use WireShark to see what is going on with the request and it appears both HTTP requests (the wsdl and the common types definitions) were fulfilled without a glitch and no connection timed out at all, not a single error. I can see the XML in WireShark and the HTTP status is 200 OK and everything is perfectly fine at this level.
So, what is going on here? I have the same problem on a Linux server while the message is a bit different. What wsdl2java is doing to believe there was a problem and abort?
After further investigation and testing with Axis2 and CXF, I finally found the problem, thanks to the CXF's version of the wsdl2java script which is giving a bit more details.
First of all, the original solution proposed was almost correct. I actually need to add all the proxy information, however I also needed to specify the non-proxy hosts otherwise I am getting the 502 error. The messages from the Axis script were not very detailed about the offending request, while CXF's version was very clear and enabled me to finally solve my problem.
So, in addition, if you modify the wsdl2java script, add -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=... in addition to other options. The same thing if you need to specify a proxy programmatically.

Failed to connect to queue manager 'QUEUE-NAME' with connection mode 'Client' and host

I have developed subscripe (topic) conncept using Camel. it is working fine in my local tomcat.but it is not working in my test environment tomcat. it is getting below mentioned error. kindly help me to resolve the issue and how to debug the issue.
is it related to server configuration ?

There is almost no information to go on here and therefore no way to answer with any confidence. Instead, I'll provide a diagnostic process and hopefully you will find the problem. Note that in the future if you have similar issues, it would help to list the diagnostics you have already tried so that people responding can narrow down their answers.
In order for this to work, the QMgr must be running a listener, have a channel defined and available, have authorizations set up to allow the connection, and be able to resolve the queue or topic requested. With that in mind, the things I normally check and the order I check them in is as follows:
Is the QMgr running.
Is the listener running? On what port?
Can I telnet to the QMgr on the listener port? i.e. telnet mqhost 1414.
Is the channel defined? If so, is it available?
Do the sample client programs work? In this case, amqspubc is the one to try.
There are other considerations and if all of the above work, it is time to look into the client code and configuration, the versions of the client and server, authorizations, etc. But until you know that the basic configuration is in place to support a client connection (which was not indicated in the question) then these are the things to start with.

getting timeouts from spymemcached, using Spring integration

I'm trying to configure to use spymemcached to retrieve data from a memcached server (tried both 1.2 and 1.4). I configured it with the values provided in their wiki here (http://code.google.com/p/spymemcached/wiki/SpringIntegration). However, if I inject that bean as a MemcachedClient into my class, every time I try to access the cache I get a timeout. My line of code is as simple as that:
MyClass object = (MyClass) memcachedClient.get(cacheKey);
at this moment the value is not in the cache, but I would expect it to return null. Instead, all I'm getting is a CXF exception (this is a webservice), in which the cause is:
Caused by: net.spy.memcached.OperationTimeoutException: Timeout waiting for value
at net.spy.memcached.MemcachedClient.get(MemcachedClient.java:1003)
at net.spy.memcached.MemcachedClient.get(MemcachedClient.java:1018)
No info in the logs (although I'm still trying to put them in DEBUG, as for now I see only spymemcached logs for INFO). Anyone had similar issues? I can access the memcached server via telnet and the get correctly returns END.
Thanks.
The problem was using the BINARY protocol. Switching to TEXT works fine. I guess the installed build of memcached didn't support this protocol - however it was not an easy catch!

Refused connection to a Swordfish Service Registry

i try to set up a swordfish environment, but i'm failing with setting up the service registry.
the first screenshot below shows the setting of the service registry in the sopera toolsuite.
the second screenshot shows the error message when refreshing the service registry.
so, there was no other configuration, i just installed the toolsuite, and opened the "service registry" view in eclipse, then the error popup, as shown in the screenshot, occurs.
What am i doing wrong? Am i missing something? need help!!
regards
matt
SOLUTION: I found a script which brings up the service registry i needed, so now i can see all services registered at this service registry.
NEXT PROBLEM: as shown in the screenshot below, i got a swordfish server to provide the services. But when publishing the contained feature, i again get the error message regarding a confused connection! So whats wrong now? Are there any Swordfish experts in the stackoverflow universe? ;)
"Connection refused" implies that there is no process running on the port that you are attempting to connect to.
Are you sure the service you are attempting to connect to is running?
I found another script which brings up a Swordfish server, so everything's fine now!
