It was definitely a bug caused by a LoadBalancingPolicy instance being shared across the two clusters.

Most probably your application gets overloaded hence it cannot handle 500 concurrent connections, you need to check the following:
Your application server configuration, i.e. increase maximum number of incoming connections
Your backend health in terms of CPU, RAM, available network sockets, etc., it can be done using JMeter PerfMon Plugin
Your application configuration (connection pools, database configuration, etc.) as it might not be properly tuned for high loads
I started to get ConnectionReset error when i try make request to an apple api url.
I made no code change but it suddenly started to give errors. When i call the url with curl command i can get answer but when i call it from the code it throws the below exception.

It turns out the problem was a firewall policy changed without our information. It blocked the access to apple servers.

This seems to be the same problem. #EspringDev is actually pointing the right direction.
As per apple , they support all the versions through 1.0 to 1.3. But the API you consume could have a SSL/TLS security policy . I hope this will solve the issue.

To test if there was any problem with the network, I made the same request using Postman and cURL, both returned the expected response. Then I used postman to generate java code, ran it and got the same error.
Notice that in order for the request to work with Postman I had to turn off "Use System Proxy". This lead me to think that maybe java was using system proxy by default and tried to disable it with System.setProperty("java.net.useSystemProxies", "false"); (also tried with true). Still got same error.

Like so often, the reason was dead simple:
The target server only has an IPv4 address. Java for some reason tries to access the target using IPv6 and fails to do so. I assume that this kind of "halts" the ongoing process and this can only be remedied by aborting the hanging thread (what the timeout effectively does)
As soon as I addded -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true to the call of my program, I was able to run it successfully.

I'm trying to use a WebService of a payment gateway which uses HTTPS as protocol and i'm using an apache cxf client.
The problem I'm getting timeout to all my requests, but when I use curl to the same WebService I get the response without any problems.

You might want to change the receiveTimeout setting from Apache CXF src and replace the existing cxf-rt-transports-http-version.jar in your server.

Check if you are behind web proxy,that's why it working in curl but not through through Apache CXF.
I have created a GWT app that displays Zookeeper nodes data as it changes. I have tested my zookeeper watcher classes outside of GWT and know they work. However, when my servlet class calls my zookeeper watcher classes, and those classes try to call getChildren(...) on a zookeeper node my code fails inside of that call. This exact code works when called from other classes that aren't involved in GWT.

I cannot figure how to solve this error, and any help would be appreciated.
I did face a similar problem, and found that all data that is sent via RPC should be serialized. Does your domain class implement Serializable or IsSerializable?

Also it could be due to the missing in the service.xml for the particular service you are getting the error(which will be in jetty server log).
